1st (10) (2.75/1 +39%) Coffeemeanscoffee |
2.75/1(+39%) | (10) Coffeemeanscoffee 2.75/1, Cheekpieces refitted when emphatic winner of 9-runner handicap at Chepstow (7.1f, good to soft) 3 days ago. She can race off a 1 lb lower mark here despite carrying a 4 lb penalty so another bold showing is on the cards. Exposed Irish mare who ran out a clearcut winner over 7f at Chepstow; versatile trip-wise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (10/1 +29%) Diamondsinthesand |
10/1(+29%) | (2) Diamondsinthesand 10/1, Hooded for 1st time, first run since leaving John O'Shea when good third of 12 in handicap at Chepstow (7.1f, good to firm, 25/1) 11 days ago, running on. In the picture. Improved third latest; back over 6f but on slower ground that he can handle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (9/1 -6%) Louis Treize |
9/1(-6%) | (7) Louis Treize 9/1, Tricky customer. 2 wins from 5 runs this year. 13/2, didn't need to improve to win 8-runner handicap at Chepstow (6.1f, good to firm) 11 days ago by head from Bama Lama. Others remain more persuasive. Just 2lb higher than for Chepstow win and this softer ground won't stop him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (4/1 +50%) Boarhunt |
4/1(+50%) | (1) Boarhunt 4/1, Cheekpieces on for 1st time, career best when winning 15-runner minor event at Leicester (6f, good, 6/1) 11 days ago. Headgear is retained so he needs considering back in handicap company. 6f classified winner; 4lb higher back in a handicap and unproven on soft ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (12) (33/1 -18%) Red Bravo |
33/1(-18%) | (12) Red Bravo 33/1, Two wins from 51 Flat runs. Respectable seventh of 12 in handicap at Chepstow (7.1f, good to firm, 22/1) 11 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Twenty eight runs since last win in 2020, though. Poor strike-rate of 2-51 and recent efforts are not overly encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (3/1 +33%) Bama Lama |
3/1(+33%) | (6) Bama Lama 3/1, Latest win at Chepstow in July. 11/2, good head second of 8 to Louis Treize in handicap at Chepstow (6.1f, good to firm) 11 days ago. This course winner is well in the mix. Closely matched with Louis Treize on recent Chepstow form and she's consistent. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (22/1 -159%) Mine That Ship |
22/1(-159%) | (8) Mine That Ship 22/1, Ninth of 13 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, good to firm, 5/2) 31 days ago. Can give a good account if shrugging off latest effort. Ran her best race two starts back, when in a hood that's been missing since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (7.5/1 +38%) Kyber Crystal |
7.5/1(+38%) | (4) Kyber Crystal 7.5/1, Winner at Chepstow in June. Creditable fourth of 7 in handicap (6/1) at Chepstow (5.1f, good to soft) 3 days ago, running on late. Merits consideration back at 6f now. Profile of 1-20; should give her running but may come up short once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (20/1 -150%) Zous Baby |
20/1(-150%) | (5) Zous Baby 20/1, 11/4, respectable third of 13 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, firm) 43 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Clive Cox and can't be dismissed. Left Clive Cox an eight-race maiden (same ownership) but finished placed in four handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (13) (100/1 -100%) Kay Ceraar |
100/1(-100%) | (13) Kay Ceraar 100/1, 50/1, eighth of 10 in minor event at Brighton (6f, good) 27 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Patchy overall record and only eighth in a classified race last time; up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (33/1 -50%) Uno Grande |
33/1(-50%) | (11) Uno Grande 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 100/1, ninth of 12 in minor event at Lingfield (7f, AW) 51 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Not easy to make a case for. Just minor promise in a trio of 7f novices but has been gelded ahead of handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
COFFEEMEANSCOFFEE is effectively only 3lb higher than for her ready success at Chepstow and the eight-year-old can land a quickfire double if none the worse for Friday's exertions. Bama Lama arrives in good heart and may be able to reverse here recent defeat by Louis Treize at the Monmouthshire venue now 1lb better off. Boarhunt, however, might emerge as the chief threat after finding improvement to strike in first-time cheekpieces in a classified event at Leicester.
A few with chances but Irish-challenger COFFEEMEANSCOFFEE is hard to side against given she can race off a 1 lb lower mark than when an impressive recent scorer at Chepstow. Bama Lama heads the list of dangers with Oisin Murphy back in the saddle, although in-form duo The Cola Kid and Kyber Crystal need factoring in too.
Preference is for the consistent BAMA LAMA who may reverse recent Chepstow placings with second choice Louis Treize.

1st (4) (6/1 -20%) Without Flaw |
6/1(-20%) | (4) Without Flaw 6/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Creditable fourth of 9 in nursery (5/4) at Beverley (7.4f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Makes plenty of appeal. Promise over 6f and didn't see it out over Beverley's extended 7f on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (8/1 -100%) Big Brown Bear |
8/1(-100%) | (3) Big Brown Bear 8/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 5/1, fifth of 10 in maiden at Chepstow (7.1f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Has been handed a fair opening mark and could make an impact. Easily his best run when pushing Search close in a modest 6f maiden at Brighton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (1.8/1 +40%) Charlie Mason |
1.8/1(+40%) | (7) Charlie Mason 1.8/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Good third of 9 in nursery at Nottingham (6.1f, soft, 9/4) 13 days ago. Likely to be on the premises. Gelded ahead of his handicap debut at Nottingham (soft) and was running on at the finish. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (4/1 +47%) Line Of Fire |
4/1(+47%) | (2) Line Of Fire 4/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Seventh of 11 in minor event at Windsor (6f, good to soft, 25/1) 49 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Opening mark doesn't look overly generous judged on her three runs in novice company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (10/1 -150%) Search |
10/1(-150%) | (1) Search 10/1, Won 5-runner maiden at Brighton (6f, soft, 10/1) 41 days ago by short head from Big Brown Bear. Makes handicap debut. Boasts solid claims. Edged home in a weak-looking maiden at Brighton; likely to need more here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (12/1 -20%) Aspire To Glory |
12/1(-20%) | (8) Aspire To Glory 12/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 66/1, eighth of 13 in maiden at Yarmouth (6f, good) 25 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Others make more appeal. Has finished a little closer in each of his qualifying runs, at 5f initially then 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (20/1 -43%) Go Your Own Way |
20/1(-43%) | (9) Go Your Own Way 20/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable fifth of 9 in nursery at Beverley (7.4f, good to soft, 7/2) 13 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Others more persuasive. Four defeats include one in a seller; cheekpieces need to bring him on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (66/1 -164%) Capall Donn |
66/1(-164%) | (10) Capall Donn 66/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 150/1, first run since leaving Adrian Murray when eleventh of 13 in minor event at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 14 days ago, slowly away. Makes handicap debut. Poor form so far and goes handicapping with much to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (16/1 +43%) Harts Pocketrocket |
16/1(+43%) | (5) Harts Pocketrocket 16/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 150/1, fifth of 7 in maiden at this C&D (good) 27 days ago, not knocked about. Makes handicap debut. May do better. One of his 5f assignments was won by a Group horse; only fifth of seven stepped up to 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (12/1 +0%) Tenyatta |
12/1(+0%) | (6) Tenyatta 12/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 33/1, fifth of 7 in maiden at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) 37 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Needs to improve. Debut was promising and hasn't settled when failing to stay 7f the last twice; h'cap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Although WITHOUT FLAW was unable to justify favouritism on her handicap bow at Beverley, Archie Watson's filly didn't enjoy the best of passages that day and this return to 6f may help bring about some compensation. Big Brown Bear makes his first foray into nursery company and is one to note off what looks a fair opening mark. Search pipped Big Brown Bear in a Brighton maiden and also enters calculations, along with Charlie Mason.
WITHOUT FLAW shaped well on nursery debut at Beverley last time and, back in trip, she looks open to improvement. Charlie Mason is a danger and Big Brown Bear is an interesting handicap debutant.
Reverting to sprinting looks the right move with handicap debutante TENYATTA and she edges the vote in an open race.

1st (3) (4/1 +27%) Level Up |
4/1(+27%) | (3) Level Up 4/1, 4 wins from 14 runs this year. Latest win at Yarmouth in July. Respectable fourth of 8 in handicap at Chepstow (5.1f, good to firm, 9/1) 11 days ago. Not ruled out in present groove. Perhaps high in the weights now and soft ground isn't his preferred surface. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (6.5/1 -30%) Magnificence |
6.5/1(-30%) | (4) Magnificence 6.5/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2021. Eighth of 10 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good to firm, 12/1) 25 days ago. Hood back on but her overall record is a patchy one. Below best form the last twice and she's looking hard to win with. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (1.62/1 -17%) Four Adaay |
1.62/1(-17%) | (5) Four Adaay 1.62/1, Latest win at Newmarket in June. Creditable second of 8 in handicap at Chepstow (5.1f, good to firm, 7/2) 11 days ago. Yard amongst the winners and she's one to consider in first-time blinkers. Blinkers are an interesting addition after hanging away her chance at Chepstow 11 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (3/1 +0%) Hastily |
3/1(+0%) | (6) Hastily 3/1, Irish raider who stepped up plenty on her reappearance run when second of 13 in handicap at Naas (1m) in June. Weak in betting and well below that level when last of 8 at Chepstow 91m) 3 days ago, doing too much too soon. Drops back markedly in trip now. Excuses at Chepstow three days ago after two good runs; first run over 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (50/1 -257%) Full Authority |
50/1(-257%) | (1) Full Authority 50/1, Sixteen runs since last win in 2020. 80/1, last of 7 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 14 days ago, weakening approaching final 1f. Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Ended time with Jane Chapple-Hyam quietly and started out for this yard in a similar vein. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (7.5/1 +25%) Trusty Rusty |
7.5/1(+25%) | (2) Trusty Rusty 7.5/1, Scored at Southwell in December and posted a solid third of 4 in handicap at Chelmsford (6f) when last seen out in February. Needs considering after her break. High in the weights but goes well fresh; may prefer a faster surface. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
FOUR ADAAY lost little in defeat when finding only one too strong at Chepstow and first-time blinkers could help the five-year-old notch a third success of the season. Better is expected from Trusty Rusty now dropped in class and distance, and it is important to note that Tony Carroll's mare boasts a fine record when fresh, with this 156-day absence unlikely to prove a barrier. She is feared most, ahead of Level Up.
FOUR ADAAY has been running consistently well this term, runner-up at Chepstow on her latest start, and, with first-time blinkers enlisted, she looks to hold sound claims once more under Oisin Murphy. Irish raider Hastily went off too hard at Chepstow 3 days ago but had been in good form previously and could bounce back. Level Up completes the shortlist.
Irish filly HASTILY could be interesting on this first attempt at 5f as she's not short of pace.

1st (3) (0.36/1 +55%) Lady Boba |
0.36/1(+55%) | (3) Lady Boba 0.36/1, Promising daughter of Lope De Vega who returned from 9 months off with an excellent second of 10 in minor event at Chelmsford City (10f, 9/2) 22 days ago. The one to beat. Both runs promising, especially when going close upped to 1m2f at Chelmsford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (2.75/1 -99%) Art De Vivre |
2.75/1(-99%) | (1) Art De Vivre 2.75/1, Twice-raced filly, much better effort when second of 6 in maiden at Goodwood (14f, good, 10/1) 38 days ago. May well do better still so she's firmly in the picture. Well-bred filly; left debut form behind to finish only 1l off a decent horse at Goodwood. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/1 -22%) Caravanserai |
11/1(-22%) | (2) Caravanserai 11/1, €80,000 yearling, Camelot filly. Sister to 9f winner Pechanga, closely related to 1½m-15f winner Pour Vous and half-sister to 3 winners, including winner up to 1m Udalla, all abroad. Market can prove a good guide for this newcomer. 80,000euros yearling; makes sense checking the market to gauge expectations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (66/1 +34%) Looklikewemadeit |
66/1(+34%) | (5) Looklikewemadeit 66/1, 100/1, twelfth of 13 in minor event at Newbury (10f, good) on debut 9 days ago, missing break. Lots more is required. 100-1 and tailed off at Newbury (1m2f, good to soft); opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (200/1 -150%) Lady Of Nepal |
200/1(-150%) | (4) Lady Of Nepal 200/1, Twice-raced filly. 200/1, fourth of 7 in minor event at Nottingham (10.2f, heavy) 10 days ago. Needs to take another step forward. Only 7l away at Nottingham last time but this looks a better race. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Art De Vivre built on her racecourse debut to fill the runner-up spot over 1m6f at Goodwood but while that was a step in the right direction, she shaped as though she could benefit from a stiffer stamina test. Therefore, the vote goes to LADY BOBA, who lost little in defeat when a staying-on second over 1m2f at Chelmsford and the daughter of Lope De Vega might have a touch more speed. The unraced Caravanserai completes the shortlist.
LADY BOBA shaped well on her seasonal return when second at Chelmsford City so Ralph Beckett's Lope De Vega filly is fancied to build on it and open her account at the chief expense of Art de Vivre who can also have a say on the back of her Goodwood second. David Menuisier's newcomer Caravanserai offers potential, especially if the market vibes are positive.
This looks between LADY BOBA and Art De Vivre, who posted similar RPRs in their latest defeats.

3/1(+57%) | (8) Daisy Roots 3/1, Modest filly. Fifth of 7 in handicap at Leicester (8.2f, good, 14/1) 32 days ago. Not completely discounted in a weak affair. Now into her first classified race but hasn't convinced at 1m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (2.5/1 +9%) El Royale |
2.5/1(+9%) | (3) El Royale 2.5/1, Modest gelding. 11/1, respectable fourth of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (10.2f, heavy) 10 days ago. Back down in trip. Likely to be on the premises. 0-11 and hardly progressing, but his last two efforts were fairly encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (66/1 -100%) Private Bryan |
66/1(-100%) | (6) Private Bryan 66/1, Blinkered for 1st time, ninth of 11 in handicap (100/1) at Bath (10.2f, good) 19 days ago, slowly away. Down in trip. Well beaten in all nine runs including six handicaps at up to 1m4f, the latest in blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (3.5/1 -56%) She's A Mirage |
3.5/1(-56%) | (10) She's A Mirage 3.5/1, Modest filly. Didn't need to be at best when winning 6-runner handicap at Les Landes (10f, firm, 5/4) 38 days ago. Very much one to consider. Recent Jersey winner and some of this year's form reads very well in this context. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (50/1 -669%) Heerathetrack |
50/1(-669%) | (4) Heerathetrack 50/1, Remains a maiden after 18 Flat runs. 22/1, ninth of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 12 days ago, not looking keen. Chance if rediscovering old form but he's not firing at moment. 0-18 and accustomed to having more in front than behind in his races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (150/1 -127%) Wood Farm Wag |
150/1(-127%) | (11) Wood Farm Wag 150/1, Last of 15 in handicap at Leicester (7f, good, 80/1) 11 days ago. Has plenty to prove. Beaten over 18l and a lot further than that in her four handicaps; hard to recommend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (11/1 +67%) El Maga |
11/1(+67%) | (2) El Maga 11/1, Seventeen runs since last win in 2021. 16/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at Chepstow (7.1f, good to soft) 3 days ago. Others are more appealing. 0-17 since a winning debut two years ago and she's struggling for form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (125/1 -89%) Hiya Hiya |
125/1(-89%) | (9) Hiya Hiya 125/1, 150/1, tenth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 20 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Hooded for 1st time. Hard to make a case for. Yet to hit the frame and has been nowhere near putting that right of late. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (4.5/1 +63%) Satellite Call |
4.5/1(+63%) | (7) Satellite Call 4.5/1, 50/1, last of 12 in handicap at Newbury (10f, firm) 46 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Has finished tailed off in both starts since returning to turf; now 0-11. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (9/1 -80%) Closeness |
9/1(-80%) | (1) Closeness 9/1, Modest mare. Remains a maiden after 16 Flat runs. 18/1, respectable sixth of 13 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, good) 19 days ago. Should come on for that run. Longstanding maiden who has had her chances at classified level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (33/1 +0%) Merlins Muse |
33/1(+0%) | (5) Merlins Muse 33/1, Poor mare. Sixteen runs since last win in 2019. Blinkered for 1st time, last of 10 in minor event (33/1) at Chepstow (8.1f, good to soft) 3 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Has been all over the shop trip-wise and now goes in cheekpieces. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
A tentative vote is given to SHE'S A MIRAGE, who did what was expected of her when scoring in handicap company over 1m2f in Jersey last month. The David Evans-trained filly is fancied to progress further, despite a drop in distance. El Royale looks her most serious danger following a fair fourth, also over 1m2f, in soft ground at Nottingham. Daisy Roots heads the remainder.
In an incredibly thin race EL ROYALE gets a very tentative vote having run respectably at Nottingham last time. She's A Mirage is a danger back in Britain and Daisy Roots can't be ruled out.
In a bad race the safest option is SHE'S A MIRAGE who won in Jersey last month and has run well on other occasions this year.

0.5/1(+40%) | (4) Lunar Landscape 0.5/1, Creditable third of 9 in handicap (10/3) at Newbury (10f, good to soft) 4 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Leading claims. Beaten in the region of 2l in all three handicaps, at 1m and 1m2f; solid claims. |

6.5/1(-8%) | (5) Buxlow Boy 6.5/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Hooded for 1st time, fourth of 6 in minor event at Chepstow (10f, good to firm, 12/1) 35 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Could improve. Handicap debut; not impossibly treated on latest 4l fourth in a hood at Chepstow. |

5th (6) (10/1 -122%) Fast Affair |
10/1(-122%) | (6) Fast Affair 10/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 15/2, creditable fifth of 12 in handicap at Kempton (8f) 19 days ago. Up in trip. Visor on 1st time. Likely to be thereabouts. With a good yard and looked ready for this far when fifth of 12 over Kempton's 1m. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
LUNAR LANDSCAPE arrives following a decent third at Newbury on Thursday and looks the one to beat. He has been eased in class which, combined with the application of first-time cheekpieces, can help Eve Johnson Houghton's charge get off the mark. Hashtagmetoo has dropped to her last winning rating, which came on the all-weather in March, and is feared most down in trip. The unexposed Buxlow Boy is another to consider on his handicap bow.
LUNAR LANDSCAPE is bang in form and was a bit better than the result when third at Newbury 4 days ago, so he's worth siding with ahead of Fast Affair. Hashtagmetoo is another one to consider.
Fast Affair may improve but LUNAR LANDSCAPE (nap) hasn't been far away in all his handicaps and he rates the safest bet.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing.
