The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Having filled the frame on all four outings over hurdles this season, BUCKNA might be rewarded for his consistency. The five-year-old arrives on the back of a solid third over 2m at Southwell and today's extra half mile holds no fear. The biggest threat may emerge from the returning Deep Purple, who should have learned plenty from his third-placed timber debut at Ludlow behind subsequent Grade 1-placed Wendigo. Devon Dude also has the ability to go close.
Warren Greatrex's BUCKNA should benefit from today's return to a longer distance and he gets the nod over Deep Purple.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
KAP BOY has faced some stiff tasks over inadequate trips during his novice campaign, but today's 2m4f distance could be the making of him. The Kapgarde gelding boasts plenty of stamina in his pedigree and he may find enough improvement to open his account in this discipline. The combination of a wind procedure and quicker ground may see Golan Loop in a better light. Warren Greatrex's inmate is feared most, ahead of hurdles debutant Scorpio Rising.
There should be some improvement to come from KAP BOY, who moves up in trip after finishing fourth in two better races than this.

13/2(+13%) | (5) Jalisco Star 13/2, Travelled well beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time; in good form prior; off a short-break; probably bit to come back on quicker ground Ended 2024 with two wins (one over C&D); on tough mark now but still considered. |

6th (4) ![]() Star Walking |
SP(+100%) | (4) Star Walking SP, Not clear run fourth beaten 4 1/2l in Mares' Novices' Hurdle (Listed) at Doncaster latest; potentially thrown in back in a handicap; significant jockey booking; unexposed at 3m; go close Back in a handicap after last month's 3m Listed fourth; probably still has potential. |

|PU| (2) ![]() Gaye Legacy |
9/2(+10%) | (2) Gaye Legacy 9/2, Well backed beaten 3l off 116 at Ludlow last time; consistent; bit to find with top weight on latest run but could figure Returned from layoff with two good runs in February; probably in the shake-up again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Lilting Verse has been in good heart over fences of late and she warrants respect reverting to timber. However, February Ludlow scorer FELICIE DU MAQUIS looks to have more to come as a stayer and this lightly-raced 10-year-old is fancied to defy a 4lb higher mark. Gaye Legacy (second) finished three lengths behind the selection and Tom Symonds' mare must also enter the reckoning racing off 3lb better terms.
Top of the list is I AM THE MOON, who put in a good front-running shift in a competitive novices' handicap at Newbury last month.

|PU| (4) ![]() Saladam |
10/1(-33%) | (4) Saladam 10/1, Fell in a handicap chase over 1m7f at Wetherby latest; longer trip a plus; returning from a break; good mark on hurdles form; can make presence felt It wasn't his first scruffy jump when falling on chase debut in November; others safer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The Dream Goes On completed a double at Plumpton earlier in the month and boasts a leading chance of continuing his brilliant form. However, the vote goes to A MOMENTS MADNESS, who produced a good effort to finish second at Fontwell last time and the assessor kindly left his mark alone for that effort. With a similar display, he might be the one to beat. Cat Tiger appears best of the remainder.
Preference is for A MOMENTS MADNESS (nap), who ran well in defeat at Fontwell after a wind operation.

11/4(+31%) | (3) El Granjero 11/4, Travelled well beaten a length off 122 over 2m7f at Stratford last time over fences; consistent in this sphere; down in trip; significant jockey booking; can get involved Runner-up on last three outings; edging up the weights but respected as in-form contender. |

5th (9) ![]() Eaton Anne |
7/1(+42%) | (9) Eaton Anne 7/1, Suited by the testing ground when scored by 22l off 105 at Lingfield penultimate start; seventh beaten 31l off 116 last time; probably high enough in weights Beaten a long way out at Newbury (2m4f, soft) latest but won his previous two outings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) ![]() Saint Palais |
14/1(+0%) | (2) Saint Palais 14/1, Ran to form comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Newbury last time where did plenty early; down in trip; open to further improvement judged on chase form Fifth at Newbury (3m, soft) in February suggests his hurdles form does not match this mark. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
El Granjero has taken the silver medal home on each of his last three starts, with two of those efforts coming in this sphere and he should remain competitive. However, NINTH LOCH looks the way to go. Harry Derham's charge justified favouritism in good style at Chepstow on his latest outing and a 4lb may underestimate that performance. Last-time-out C&D scorer Letterston Lady isn't out of it either.
El Granjero looks the most solid to run well but has found one too good for him lately. EATON ANNE might be the one on soft ground.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A major improver from first to second start for new connections when scoring comfortably over C&D last time out, AIRTOTHETHRONE should have plenty more to come, despite a 7lb penalty. Record High scored over further at Fontwell last time out and he can follow him home, along with Bampton Star, who regained the winning thread with a determined display at Exeter last month. Others to note include Another Lord, River Run Free and Shot Boii.
The win may go to RIVER RUN FREE, who looked to have further improvement in him prior to his underpowered hat-trick bid in February.

11th (7) ![]() Cher Monsieur |
14/1(+44%) | (7) Cher Monsieur 14/1, Down the field in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee most recent where stopped quickly; lot to find off stiff opening mark Placed in Irish points; beaten at least 44l in three starts over hurdles (50-1 to 200-1). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
JUST AIDAN continues to go from strength to strength, and a further 6lb rise for his most recent success at Wincanton may not be enough to prevent the six-year-old from landing the hat-trick. Placed on each of his last two outings at Chepstow, Victor Haze looks to be a main danger, along with Rodney, who was a revelation on his first start for new connections when scoring over further at Taunton in February.
There is a good chance that last-time-out winners JUST AIDAN and Rodney have further improvement in them and they are preferred.
Ths is the racecard key.
