14:00 Fakenham Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An open contest sees a chance taken on BRISTOL HILL, who made a pleasing start to his career over timber when third over 2m at Huntingdon last month. Kevin Frost's charge showed signs of inexperience, racing too freely for much of the journey, but the six-year-old showed a likeable attitude running on late in the day and is expected to go well. Pleasant Man is feared most after being sent off favourite the last time he ran over hurdles, while Brave Jen also makes some appeal.

James Owen's CANNON ROCK has some useful winning Flat form to his name and comes here on the back of a good recent AW second at Kempton so is fancied to make a successful start now hurdling for his in-form yard. Pleasant Man is the form pick of those with experience and rates much the biggest threat, with Bristol Hill, Dirty Den and Natchez Trace all in the mix for minor honours.

Several have a chance in this maiden, in which the vote goes to the ex-Godolphin 4yo CANNON ROCK on his debut over hurdles.

14:35 Fakenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Following a cosy success over 3m1f at Huntingdon last month, CHATTY CHICH appears likely to follow up that success. Dan Skelton's charge has been raised 6lb in the ratings which may not be enough to halt her progression. Despite being a well-beaten third over 2m4f at this venue last time, Mountain Bay is feared most given the handicapper has loosened his grip, while Ebendi looks set to follow them home.

CHATTY CHICH confirmed the promise of her C&D handicap debut second when running out a good winner at Huntingdon 25 days ago and, still unexposed as a stayer, she looks to hold excellent claims of following up for her leading yard. Little Talks isn't one to dismiss out of hand, and along with Ebendi, heads up the dangers.

Having improved since running over about 3m, CHATTY CHICH has a sound chance to follow up her Huntingdon win despite being 6lb higher.

15:10 Fakenham Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Just touched off over 2m1f at Sedgefield last time, Augharue arrives here with solid credentials, but he may be vulnerable to some better treated rivals such as GO FOX. Neil King's runner has been eased 2lb in the ratings for his third over 2m5f at this track and, with this drop in trip likely to suit, he appears capable of exploiting an attractive mark of 81. Omaha Wish and Ferrybridge are also worthy of consideration.

OMAHA WISH offered something to work on sent chasing when a good third at Warwick and gets the vote over of Moore Clouds, who's dipped below her last winning mark. Augharue only just failed at Sedgefield last month and is another to consider.

The choice is GO FOX, who ran creditably over 2m5f here last time and is back on the same mark as when winning over C&D a year ago.

15:45 Fakenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

King Otis is the one C&D winner in this field after scoring here last month and, although beaten since, he arrives at the top of his game. Enthused has to be of interest and has been in decent form on the Flat since his last start over hurdles, but preference is for MAX OF STARS. Last seen finishing seventh in a far better race at Cheltenham, she was second in a Listed race over hurdles at Doncaster in January and a repeat of that could be more than enough.

KING OTIS is on the up for James Owen and, having finished a clear second at Huntingdon on Monday, he's capable of getting back to winning ways if the race doesn't come too soon. Max of Stars is likely to bounce back from a poor run, so she's a danger if allowed an easy lead under Hughes, while market support for No Recollection would be significant.

On a track that is likely to suit her racing style, free-going front-runner MAX OF STARS is taken to record her fifth hurdling success.

16:15 Fakenham Handicap Chase (Class 3) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Time To Bite looks likely to take them along here given those tactics were employed when he won at Newton Abbot last time, but an extra 7lb from the handicapper means another step forward is needed. Riskintheground also won last time out at Hereford and he makes a strong case off just 4lb higher, but a chance is taken on WAY OUT. Second and beaten less than a length at Warwick latest, that form behind Boombawn reads well in the context of this race.

WAY OUT should have conditions to suit and will appreciate the return to this longer trip on the back of his solid Warwick run. He gets the nod. Riskintheground and My Gift To You are feared most.

This looks good for WAY OUT (nap), who ran well in defeat in a Warwick novice three weeks ago and remains on a good mark.

(4) Complete Fantasy 33/1, Modest maiden hurdler unproven beyond 2m. Last of 2 finishers in a point 7 weeks ago and hard to fancy.

(6) Into The Sunset 8/1, Dual winner in 2022. Missed 18 months and well held both starts at Newcastle this year. Back up in trip now and on a tempting mark.
Safely held on last two appearances but today's much quicker ground will suit much better.

16:45 Fakenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Star Legend has been running well enough on the Flat and could go well with the return to this trip expected to be in his favour after failing to see out almost 3m here in November. Baby Sham has to be considered, but INTO THE SUNSET intrigues most. Not at his best so far this year, his 2022 form gives him every chance with the step up in trip a positive.

NICKELFORCE will be well suited by the return to this trip and won't lack for assistance up top so he's a clear choice. State of Bliss is feared most ahead of Into The Sunset.

The suggestion is INTO THE SUNSET, who is well handicapped and can come back to form now he's back on good ground.
