1st (3) (4/11 +56%) Eclairage |
4/11(+56%) | (3) Eclairage 4/11, Lightly-raced winner. 2 wins from 5 runs this year. 6/4, career best when winning 8-runner nursery at this C&D 21 days ago by 5 lengths from Moonhall Lass, readily. Claims are crystal clear. Two C&D wins and up 23lb in the weights; should confirm last-time form with Moonhall Lass. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/1 -175%) Moonhall Lass |
11/1(-175%) | (4) Moonhall Lass 11/1, Fair filly. Bit below form fourth of 12 in maiden (5/1) at this course (6f) 14 days ago. Minor place money is probably the best her connections can hope for. Beaten 5l by Eclairage over C&D three weeks ago; could struggle to turn that form around. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (7/2 +13%) Ohmyviette |
7/2(+13%) | (1) Ohmyviette 7/2, Thrice-raced winner. 11/4, won 9-runner maiden at this C&D 9 days ago, doing better under change of tactics. This is more demanding. Still green when winning over C&D; can run well but faces a tough task on these terms. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (18/1 -177%) Tommy Mcjohn |
18/1(-177%) | (2) Tommy Mcjohn 18/1, Fairly useful gelding. Winner at Naas in September. 11/1, first run since leaving M. D. O'Callaghan when eighth of 9 in minor event at this course (7f) 9 days ago. Back down in trip. A 5f winner was below his best over further the last twice but can run well back in trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ECLAIRAGE may be able to land her hat-trick over C&D, despite a hefty hike for her last win. The Kuroshio filly opened her account here in October before following up in impressive fashion three weeks ago. She got a 19lb rise for that easy five-length win, but trainer Danny Murphy felt that she had matured well recently and there may be another in her. Moonhall Lass, who chased her home then, has been a solid fourth since and may get closer. A bigger danger could be Ohmyviette, who opened his account over C&D nine days ago and is open to further improvement.
The hat-trick beckons for ECLAIRAGE, who made it 2-2 on the all-weather and over this C&D when readily seeing off Moonhall Lass in a nursery three weeks ago. The latter is armed with a 14 lb pull but it's unlikely to be enough given the authority with which Daniel Murphy's charge went about her business. Tommy McJohn could be the one for the forecast this time.
It is difficult to oppose the rapidly improving ECLAIRAGE, who slammed Moonhall Lass in a C&D nursery last time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (11) (4/1 0%) J M's Joy |
4/1(0%) | (11) J M's Joy 4/1, Fair filly. 10/3, good third of 15 in maiden at Gowran (8.3f, heavy) 53 days ago. Should give another good account. Knocking on door on testing ground at end of turf season; may get found out by 7f on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (9/1 +64%) Shamanka |
9/1(+64%) | (7) Shamanka 9/1, Once-raced filly. 16/1, tenth of 13 in maiden at this C&D on debut 30 days ago. Probably more one for handicaps in due course. Well held 16-1 shot over C&D on debut last month; drawn wide and may need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (20/1 -67%) Timandi |
20/1(-67%) | (9) Timandi 20/1, Once-raced filly. 7/1, thirteenth of 15 in maiden at Listowel (8f, good to soft) on debut 81 days ago, slowly away. That experience won't be wasted on her but she will probably need more time and distance. Only 7s for maiden on debut but was green and well held; should improve; check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

8/1(+76%) | (5) Eutropia 8/1, Foaled March 25. 2,500 gns foal, €13,000 yearling, Study of Man filly. Dam, French 1¼m-1½m winner, half-sister to 6f-1m winner Amusez Moi. Entitled to come on for the run. Stayed on for 3rd in Naas barrier trial; good chance she will need further. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (10/3 +5%) Happy For Evva |
10/3(+5%) | (6) Happy For Evva 10/3, Promising individual. First run since leaving Ms Sheila Lavery when third of 12 in maiden (12/1) at this course (6f) 14 days ago, having to pick way through. Likely to improve. Hinted at ability on 6f Curragh debut a stepped forward when 3rd beaten 2l since. |

28/1(+15%) | (8) Suerte 28/1, Foaled March 4. Dandy Man filly. Sister to smart winner up to 9f River Boyne and 7.4f winner River Usk, and half-sister to several winners, including useful winner up to 6f Harome. Likely to come on for the run. Shown promise in couple of barrier trials and she's interesting here, despite widest draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (20/1 -67%) Think About It |
20/1(-67%) | (2) Think About It 20/1, Thrice-raced filly. Ninth of 14 in maiden at this course (8f, 6/1) 21 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Blinkers on 1st time and needs to raise her game. Encouraging third-place finishes on turf but backwards step back here since; blinkers on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (9/1 -50%) Magnolia Drive |
9/1(-50%) | (4) Magnolia Drive 9/1, Foaled April 28. Gleneagles filly. Sister to 1½m winner Common Practice and 2-y-o 1m winner Tiscommonknowledge. Likely type on paper and it'll be interesting to see how she shapes up in the betting. Gleneagles filly; sister to winners Common Practice, Tiscommonknowledge; may want further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (12) (80/1 -142%) Jasmine Affanalis |
80/1(-142%) | (12) Jasmine Affanalis 80/1, Foaled April 3. Highland Reel filly. Dam maiden out of US 1m winner Moon River Gal, herself half-sister to US Grade 3 6f winner Sweet Hope. Wears hood and, chances are, she'll be better for the run. Highland Reel filly; dam well held 6.7f-1m4f (RPR 47); hood for debut likely not good sign. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (10) (33/1 +0%) Graceful Intent |
33/1(+0%) | (10) Graceful Intent 33/1, Foaled April 25. $7,000 foal, $7,000 yearling, Gormley filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including smart winner up to 1m Maftool and minor US winner by Tapit. Yard rarely strikes with newcomers. Gormley filly; cost $7,000; half-sister to 3 winners including Maftool; may need this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (3) (22/1 -120%) Abrilete |
22/1(-120%) | (3) Abrilete 22/1, This daughter of Australia is probably more one for the longer-term and jockey bookings suggest that she is the least fancied of the yard's 3 runners. Australia filly; 50,000gns yearling; suspicion she may want further but worth market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (14) (200/1 -60%) Sliabh Na Gcroi |
200/1(-60%) | (14) Sliabh Na Gcroi 200/1, Once-raced filly. Eleventh of 14 in maiden at this course (8f, 200/1) on debut 21 days ago. Readily passed over. Well held 200-1 shot over 1m on debut here and has a tough task now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HAPPY FOR EVVA ran well on her first outing for Alan McIntyre here a fortnight ago and may be able to strike now. The Dandy Man filly stayed on when third to Aviatrice in a solid-looking maiden and going another furlong now should help. J M's Joy had some solid placed form on the grass and, coming here with a mark of 75, she is entitled to play a part. Joseph O'Brien saddles three in the race and Magnolia Drive is an interesting newcomer in the JP McManus colours. The Gleneagles filly is a full-sister to a couple of winners, including smart hurdler Common Practice.
Two of the three trained by Joseph O'Brien are appealing and preference is for newcomer MAGNOLA DRIVE, who boasts a good pedigree and it will look significant if the market speaks in her favour. Stablemate Honeysuckle Rose showed promise on her introduction at the Curragh and she is second choice ahead of J M's Joy and Happy For Evva.
There has been promise in both of HAPPY FOR EVVA's starts, particularly here last time when shaping like 7f would suit

2nd (2) (13/2 +64%) Prince Of Eyeries |
13/2(+64%) | (2) Prince Of Eyeries 13/2, Fair gelding. Remains a maiden after 7 Flat runs. Blinkered for 1st time, very good eighth of 14 in handicap at this course (8f, 50/1) 9 days ago. Place possibilities. Beaten 3l in a 1m handicap here last week but drop in trip and return to maiden is tough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (7/2 -133%) Lady Pagasa |
7/2(-133%) | (10) Lady Pagasa 7/2, Fair filly. Remains a maiden after 10 Flat runs. 1/2 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, creditable second of 10 in maiden at this course (6f) 23 days ago. Very much the one to beat. Three good runs for this yard and should relish going back up in trip; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (4/1 -33%) Authenticate |
4/1(-33%) | (6) Authenticate 4/1, Thrice-raced filly. 9/2, second of 9 in maiden at this C&D 37 days ago. Has gradually progressed with each of her 3 starts to date and she should be in the mix. Getting better each run and 2nd over C&D latest behind odds on winner; form knocked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

200/1(-100%) | (8) Eagles Whistle 200/1, Twice-raced filly. 150/1, last of 13 in maiden at Galway (7f, heavy) 46 days ago. Tailed off in two maidens so far at huge odds; qualifies for handicaps after this. |

14/1(-65%) | (3) Prince Of Love 14/1, Once-raced gelding. Third of 10 in maiden at this course (6f, 12/1) on debut 23 days ago. Will need to improve on that if he's to go two places better this time. Beaten 4l when 3rd over 6f here on debut and should appreciate 7f this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (9/4 +55%) Ocean Diamond |
9/4(+55%) | (11) Ocean Diamond 9/4, 75,000 gns yearling, Siyouni filly. Dam useful French winner up to 1¼m (2-y-o 7.5f winner). Wears tongue strap. Interesting to see how she fares in the betting. Siyouni filly; 110,000eur as a Breeze-up purchase; tough ask on belated debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

20/1(-43%) | (5) Viamonte 20/1, Barraquero gelding. Dam, placed at 6f/7f at 2 yrs, out of unraced sister to high-class winner up to 1¼m Questing. Wears tongue strap. Worth a second look in the betting. Dam runner-up 7f 2yo (RPR 68), out of unraced sister to US 1m1f/1m2f dirt Grade 1 winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (150/1 -127%) Clifton Light |
150/1(-127%) | (7) Clifton Light 150/1, National Defense filly. Half-sister to 7f/1m winner Never Seen Before. Dam 1¼m winner. Likely to come on for the run. National Defense filly; half-sister to 7f/1m winner Never Seen Before; unlikely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (16/1 0%) Triangle D'or |
16/1(0%) | (13) Triangle D'or 16/1, Twice-raced filly. Seventh of 9 in maiden (9/1) at Roscommon (7.5f, heavy), unable to sustain effort. Off 115 days. Encouraging 3rd on debut; heavy possibly against her latest; off 115 days; e/w chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (200/1 -100%) Relaxed Zone |
200/1(-100%) | (12) Relaxed Zone 200/1, Thrice-raced filly. Fifth of 10 in maiden (125/1) at this course (6f) 23 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Others preferred. Shown nothing in three starts at huge odds and will get better chances in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (14) (250/1 -150%) Windsor Road |
250/1(-150%) | (14) Windsor Road 250/1, Lightly-raced filly. 200/1, twelfth of 14 in maiden at this C&D. Off 11 months and more of the same likely here. Shown nothing in five starts at huge odds so far and has been off a year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (1) (200/1 +0%) Heir Island |
200/1(+0%) | (1) Heir Island 200/1, Twice-raced gelding. 100/1, eighth of 9 in maidenclaimer at this course (6f) 77 days ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time. Only beaten one home in two runs so far and tongue-tie needs to have a dramatic effect. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LADY PAGASA may be able to atone after getting turned over at a short price on her last visit. The Dark Angel filly looked to be doing enough in front passing the furlong pole, but was worn down in the closing stages by newcomer Eyema Candy Girl. She has been placed over a mile so going up to seven isn't an issue and this looks a good opportunity to bag an overdue win. Prince Of Love was two and a quarter lengths behind the selection last time and with the experience under his belt, may get closer. Authenticate is progressing with racing and is another for the shortlist after her runner-up effort here early last month.
A chance is taken on debutante OCEAN DIAMOND, who ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper and, needless to say, it will be noteworthy if she's strong in the betting, Lady Pagasa has had more chances than most but she has performed with credit on all three starts since joining present yard and should be on the premises once more. Authenticate is best of the rest.
Johnny Murtagh seems to be getting a tune out of LADY PAGASA (nap) and she shaped like she would relish return to 7f last time

7/4(+13%) | (2) Tribal Moon 7/4, 11/2, career best when winning 14-runner handicap at this C&D 35 days ago. Has good chance on form. Major step forward for AW switch over C&D latest and unexposed; only up 5lb. |

10/1(+60%) | (14) Saxon Kingdom 10/1, First run since leaving P. J. Rothwell when fifth of 14 in handicap (50/1) at this C&D 7 days ago, never nearer. Opposable from a win point of view. 0-14; recent yard debut wasn't devoid of promise but this looks like a warm race for him. |

11/2(+8%) | (12) Royal Tribute 11/2, Course winner. Two wins from 43 Flat runs. Eighteen runs since last win in 2022. Second of 14 in handicap (22/1) at this C&D 7 days ago, no match for winner. Solid claims. Had been struggling but got back to form with a C&D 2nd last week and left on same mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (18/1 +10%) Eastern Wind |
18/1(+10%) | (3) Eastern Wind 18/1, Latest win at Bellewstown in October. Sixth of 14 in handicap (20/1) at this C&D 7 days ago. Looks vulnerable. A 4-time turf winner; yet to show best form on AW; well held 6th over C&D last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (25/1 +24%) Hialeah |
25/1(+24%) | (10) Hialeah 25/1, 11/1 and hooded for 1st time tongue strap on for 1st time, last of 13 in handicap at this course (10.7f) 14 days ago. Down in trip and looks set for another struggle. 11-race maiden; best recent form over further; failed to beat a rival here a fortnight ago. |

9th (9) (18/1 -29%) Suityourselfboss |
18/1(-29%) | (9) Suityourselfboss 18/1, C&D winner. 12/1, eleventh of 14 in handicap at this C&D 7 days ago. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. 1-19; off the mark over C&D in April; 7lb higher than last winning mark; struggling lately. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (25/1 +0%) Zahee |
25/1(+0%) | (5) Zahee 25/1, Unreliable type. 3-time C&D winner. Tenth of 14 in handicap (50/1) at this C&D 7 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Three C&D wins; no wins since March when he won h'cap from 1lb lower; slowly away latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (8/1 -60%) Feature This |
8/1(-60%) | (4) Feature This 8/1, 4-time C&D winner. Creditable third of 14 in handicap at this C&D (20/1) 35 days ago, well positioned. Live each-way contender. A 4-time C&D winner; shaped well in 3 of 4 runs for this yard incl' C&D 3rd latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
DAONETHATGOTAWAY looks capable of striking off his current mark. The Tamayuz gelding ran well 16 days ago when chasing home Rock Etoile over this trip and remains on the same mark. Tribal Moon was well supported when making a winning start on this surface last month and is open to further improvement. He looks a big player off a 5lb higher mark. Four-time C&D winner Feature This was a solid third on his last visit and is another who has to come into calculations.
TRIBAL MOON took an immediate step forward switched to this surface when landing a C&D handicap last month and a 5 lb rise is unlikely to be enough to stop him in his tracks. It's been a long time since Royal Tribute last hit the target but he should have a part to plat, while Feature This is also accorded respect. Daonethatgotaway and Esticky End are not without hope in a competitive handicap.
DAONETHATGOTAWAY went close here last time and the winner from that contest was only beaten a head from a 5lb higher mark subsequently

1st (9) (11/2 +39%) Viva Voce |
11/2(+39%) | (9) Viva Voce 11/2, Fourteen runs since last win in 2023. Creditable third of 14 in handicap at this C&D (22/1) 16 days ago, running on having been forced to switch over 1f out. Enters calculations. A 3-time AW winner in Britain and back to form with C&D 3rd latest; should go well. |

2nd (3) (7/2 +13%) Man Is King |
7/2(+13%) | (3) Man Is King 7/2, Remains a maiden after 26 Flat runs. Very good head second of 14 to Cousin Shay in handicap (4/1) at this C&D 16 days ago, edged out final strides. Knocking firmly on the door in recent weeks and definite claims again for all his mark has crept up further. Is 0-26 but knocking on the door again of late and only beaten a head over C&D latest. |

3rd (10) (9/1 +10%) Master Garvey |
9/1(+10%) | (10) Master Garvey 9/1, One win from 29 Flat runs. 16/1, creditable third of 14 in handicap at this C&D 7 days ago, effort 2f out and keeping on. Each-way possibilities with a repeat. Sole win in 29 runs came on heavy in March; well held 3rd over C&D last week; more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (14) (40/1 -186%) Turbo Sprint |
40/1(-186%) | (14) Turbo Sprint 40/1, Remains a maiden after 21 Flat runs. 25/1 and visored for 1st time, respectable 4 lengths eighth of 14 to Cousin Shay in handicap at this C&D 16 days ago. Has work to do. Long-standing 21-race maiden and no signs of coming back to form in four recent AW starts. |

5th (5) (40/1 -233%) Still She Blooms |
40/1(-233%) | (5) Still She Blooms 40/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 16/1, made more impact than previously when third of 9 on handicap debut here (7f) back in February. Feasible to think there could be more to come this winter on the back of just 4 career starts. Didn't get competitive before h'cap debut when only beaten 2l but off 315 days. |

8th (7) (100/1 -525%) Aljadel |
100/1(-525%) | (7) Aljadel 100/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. 25/1, twelfth of 14 in handicap at this course (10.7f) 14 days ago. Back down in trip. Something to prove at present. Won twice on Polytrack in Britain last year but low key efforts in three runs for new yard. |

11/1(-38%) | (11) Tara Power 11/1, C&D winner. Thirty one runs since last win in 2021. Respectable fifth of 14 in handicap (8/1) at this C&D 35 days ago, no extra last ½f. Can't be ruled out for all his strike rate tempers enthusiasm. Sole win came over this C&D in 2021; signs of a revival back at 1m recently but only 1-38. |

10th (6) (5/2 +29%) Cousin Shay |
5/2(+29%) | (6) Cousin Shay 5/2, First run since leaving John McConnell when 7/2, didn't need to improve to win 14-runner handicap at this C&D 16 days ago, by head from Man Is King. Well in the mix again with a repeat. Back to form with C&D win on yard debut; 5lb higher but possibly more to come. |

11th (4) (18/1 +28%) Notforalongtime |
18/1(+28%) | (4) Notforalongtime 18/1, 4-time course winner. Tenth of 14 in handicap (22/1) at this course (7f) 30 days ago. Each of his last 2 victories have come in claiming company and others rate stronger judged on recent efforts. Won 7f claimer here in March; hasn't beaten many home in 6 runs since; back up in trip. |

12th (12) (80/1 -100%) Atbay |
80/1(-100%) | (12) Atbay 80/1, Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. Visored for 1st time, last of 14 in handicap (20/1) at this C&D 7 days ago, headed 2f out and soon beaten. Blinkers back on. A 17-race maiden and yet to show anything for this yard, including over C&D last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (8) (15/2 -15%) Lorr's Girl |
15/2(-15%) | (8) Lorr's Girl 15/2, Winner at Cork in September. 8/1, good 1½ lengths third of 14 to Cousin Shay in handicap at this C&D 16 days ago. Can give a good account again with her rider taking off a handy 7 lb. A 7f winner on turf in September and good runs on AW recently, incl' 2l C&D defeat latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (1) (18/1 -50%) Sobriety Blue |
18/1(-50%) | (1) Sobriety Blue 18/1, 15/2, below form seventh of 14 in handicap at this C&D 7 days ago, never better than midfield on the back of 3 months off. Assessor has eased his grip a little more if he can build on that. A 10-race maiden and low-key return to this venue last week; enough to prove at present. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MAN IS KING has been knocking on the door here and wouldn't be winning out of turn. The Dandy Man gelding has been placed on his last three visits and lost out by just a head to Cousin Shay 16 days ago. He has been creeping up the handicap, but is entitled to be bang there again. The selection went up 3lb for that effort, while the winner Cousin Shay got 7lb, so he may be able to turn the tables. Lorr's Girl, who was a length and a half behind the pair, is another who has to come into the mix having been left on the same mark.
VIVA VOCE showed the benefit of a recent run when finishing a creditable third in a C&D handicap 16 days ago and a repeat should see him go close from the same mark. Cousin Shay and Man Is King finished 1-2 respectively in a C&D contest recently and rate an obvious pair of dangers once more.
After a winning start for his new yard over C&D last time, COUSIN SHAY could be the one to side with from just 5lb higher

1st (2) (2/1 +50%) Daamberdiplomat |
2/1(+50%) | (2) Daamberdiplomat 2/1, C&D winner. Latest win here in November. Creditable third of 8 in handicap at this C&D (10/3) 16 days ago, left with a lot to do following an uncharacteristically very slow start. Up to playing his part again in bid to follow up last year's win in this race. Beat Harry's Bar two starts ago and coped well with this mark last time so is a player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (10/3 +49%) Mehman |
10/3(+49%) | (7) Mehman 10/3, Course winner. Creditable second of 14 in handicap at this course (7f, 7/2) 16 days ago, clear of rest. Has good chance on form returned to sprinting. All four wins have been at 5f but some solid runs up to 7f lately; should be involved. |

50/1(-150%) | (8) Jered Maddox 50/1, 4-time C&D winner. 3 wins from 13 runs this year. Latest win at Laytown in September. 80/1, last of 8 in handicap at this C&D 16 days ago, never dangerous. Needs to step up again if he's to figure. Prolific AW winner but has been well beaten last twice and has to rebound. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/1 +0%) Current Option |
10/1(+0%) | (6) Current Option 10/1, Fairly useful gelding. Good third of 10 in minor event at this course (7f, 14/1) 21 days ago, going well when forced to switch final 1f. Capable of exploiting this sort of mark with his yard going along well. Once useful sort is yet to win on AW; ran a solid race last time but did hang; needs more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (3/1 +14%) Harry's Bar |
3/1(+14%) | (1) Harry's Bar 3/1, First run since leaving Jack W. Davison when good 1½ lengths second of 9 to Daamberdiplomat in handicap (4/1) at this C&D 42 days ago, headed final 100 yds and no match for winner. Respected again. Has 15 AW wins but none in the last year; still likely to be in the thick of the action. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (12/1 -50%) Inishmot Prince |
12/1(-50%) | (4) Inishmot Prince 12/1, 3-time C&D winner. Latest win at Navan in September. Respectable fourth of 10 in handicap (10/1) at this course (5f) 7 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Nine wins at this track and goes well for this rider but is probably better at 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (22/1 +21%) Hero Of The Hour |
22/1(+21%) | (10) Hero Of The Hour 22/1, 3-time C&D winner who added to his tally over 5f here in October. 14/1, struggled to scale same heights since, only eighth of 10 in handicap at this course (5f) 7 days ago. His six wins includes four here but hasn't been at his best on last few starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (17/2 -55%) Dontspoilasale |
17/2(-55%) | (3) Dontspoilasale 17/2, Latest win over C&D in November and confirmed himself better than ever when second of 8 in handicap at this C&D (10/1) 16 days ago, no match for winner. Easy to envisage him in the shake-up again in present groove. Coped well with this mark last time after beating Dream Today previously; a player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (9/1 -13%) James Henry |
9/1(-13%) | (9) James Henry 9/1, C&D winner. 11/2, respectable third of 14 in handicap at this C&D 14 days ago, not quicken final 1f. Others more persuasive. Dual course winner was solid in defeat the last twice but needs more up 4lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (28/1 -180%) Dream Today |
28/1(-180%) | (5) Dream Today 28/1, 4-time C&D winner. Respectable sixth of 10 in handicap (17/2) at this course (5f) 7 days ago, slowly away. Yard in good form and another who looks set to give another good account of himself. Six of his 10 wins have been on AW; not beaten far last thrice and can be thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (50/1 -213%) Superior Force |
50/1(-213%) | (11) Superior Force 50/1, Eighteen runs since last win in 2021. Respectable third of 13 in handicap at Cork (7f, good to soft, 9/2). Off 6 months. First run for yard after leaving Adrian Murray. Dual turf winner has run well in defeat on this surface but this trip looks on short side. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MEHMAN may be able to get his head in front again after some decent efforts. The Mehmas gelding came to win his race a furlong from home here last time before getting outstayed late on by Clarita. That came over 7f and dropping back to 6f now looks an obvious move. All his previous wins have come at 5f. Course regular Harry's Bar commands obvious respect after two solid runs here this campaign. He is a four-time C&D winner. Inishmot Prince is another old favourite around here and also has to be on the shortlist.
A good quality sprint contest with MEHMAN narrowly selected to come out on top. He's shaped well on each of his last 3 starts around here at up to 7f, and he's fancied to capitalise returned to sprinting. Harry's Bar, Daamberdiplomat and Dontspoilasale are a trio of fellow in-form sorts and also demand consideration.
There shouldn't be much between DAAMBERDIPLOMAT, Harry's Bar and Dontspoilasale. The first-named is just preferred.

8/1(-60%) | (8) Senado Square 8/1, C&D winner. Twelve runs since last win in 2023. Creditable fifth of 12 in handicap at this course (5f, 7/1) 14 days ago. Looks competitive on form. Should appreciate going back up to this trip; dropped 3lb so considered. |

2nd (2) (5/1 0%) I'm Spartacus |
5/1(0%) | (2) I'm Spartacus 5/1, C&D winner. Latest win here in September. Creditable ½-length third of 14 to Jackie Brown in handicap (4/1) at this C&D 21 days ago. Ought to be in the shake-up. Was 3rd to Jackie Brown last time; 3lb better off and there shouldn't be much between them. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (10/1 -33%) Livingston Range |
10/1(-33%) | (7) Livingston Range 10/1, C&D winner. Sixteen runs since last win in 2023. Respectable sixth of 12 in handicap (7/2) at this course (5f) 14 days ago, doing too much too soon. Enters calculations. Not beaten far lately but needs to find more off the same mark as last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (5/1 +0%) Jackie Brown |
5/1(+0%) | (5) Jackie Brown 5/1, 5/1, career best when winning 14-runner handicap at this C&D 21 days ago. Can give a good account. Got the better of some of these when scoring over C&D three weeks ago and go close. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (15/2 +12%) Hasiyna |
15/2(+12%) | (9) Hasiyna 15/2, 14/1, improved on recent efforts to win 14-runner handicap at this C&D 9 days ago by neck from Wild Mountain, driven out. Can go well again. Beat Wild Mountain by a neck over C&D and there shouldn't be much between them now. |

6th (14) (25/1 -79%) Hezahunk |
25/1(-79%) | (14) Hezahunk 25/1, C&D winner. One win from 31 Flat runs. Winner here in September. Twelfth of 14 to Hasiyna in handicap at this C&D (5/1) 9 days ago. Needs to get back on track. Won in September and mixed form since; has to bounce back from a poor C&D effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (10/3 +44%) Wild Mountain |
10/3(+44%) | (10) Wild Mountain 10/3, One win from 24 Flat runs. 13/2, very good neck second of 14 to Hasiyna in handicap at this C&D 9 days ago. Can go one better nudged up 1 lb. Beaten a neck by Hasiyna over C&D last time; is 2lb better off with that rival today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (80/1 -142%) Gimmieminnie |
80/1(-142%) | (4) Gimmieminnie 80/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 80/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, fourth of 10 in maiden at this C&D 23 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Difficult ask. A fair enough mark for handicap debut and could improve; tongue-tie retained. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (14/1 -40%) Winemaker |
14/1(-40%) | (1) Winemaker 14/1, Course winner. Tenth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (10/1) 14 days ago. Has good chance on pick of form. Should have come on for his recent return to this venue and is 5lb below last winning mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (11/1 +8%) American In Paris |
11/1(+8%) | (11) American In Paris 11/1, First run since leaving Denis Hogan when creditable 1¾ lengths sixth of 14 to Hasiyna in handicap at this C&D (16/1) 9 days ago. Considered. Was only 2l behind Hasiyna over C&D last time after a break; should go closer today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (20/1 -67%) Elliott |
20/1(-67%) | (6) Elliott 20/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, below form sixth of 10 in claimer (11/1) at this C&D 37 days ago. Tongue strap back on. Needs a couple of these to falter. Close fifth in a C&D handicap two starts ago but not as good when keen in a claimer since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (3) (10/1 +17%) Irish Rumour |
10/1(+17%) | (3) Irish Rumour 10/1, Winner at Navan in September. 9/1, ninth of 14 in handicap at this C&D 14 days ago. Some decent runs lately but was below form over C&D last time and has to rebound. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (33/1 -65%) Clarinbridge |
33/1(-65%) | (13) Clarinbridge 33/1, Sixteen runs since last win in 2023. Creditable fourth of 12 in handicap at this course (5f, 22/1) 14 days ago. Not ruled out. Good run over 5f two weeks ago; needs more off the same mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (12) (150/1 -127%) Ascendent |
150/1(-127%) | (12) Ascendent 150/1, Last of 12 in handicap at this course (5f, 66/1) 14 days ago. Some promise in maidens but well beaten in three handicaps and has to find plenty. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HASIYNA travelled well into the race here last time and was probably value for a bit more than her winning margin. The Tamayuz filly was always doing enough in the closing stages to hold Wild Mountain by a neck and, off just a 3lb higher mark, she may be able to follow up. The runner-up is only 1lb higher and is entitled to run a big race again. Jackie Brown got home in a tight finish here three weeks ago and is 4lb higher now. There might be a bit more to come from her.
WILD MOUNTAIN looks the way to go on the back of his very good C&D second last time out nudged up just 1 lb here. Course-socrer Winemaker is weighted to go well and next on the list ahead of Jackie Brown and Senado Square.
C&D winner AMERICAN IN PARIS might be able to improve enough on her comeback run to turn the tables on Hasiyna and Wild Mountain.

3rd (1) (14/1 -75%) Brosna Town |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (7/2 -40%) Pralognan |
7/2(-40%) | (2) Pralognan 7/2, Eleven runs since last win in 2021. Respectable third of 11 in handicap at this course (10.7f, 3/1) 21 days ago. Onr to consider. Good efforts in defeat including over 1m2f-1m4f here last twice; go well off same mark. |

5th (4) (11/2 -65%) Enough Already |
11/2(-65%) | (4) Enough Already 11/2, C&D winner in November. Possibly found the race coming too quickly when fourth of 11 to Pepper Noir in handicap (11/8) at this C&D 16 days ago. Well worth another chance. Won over C&D last month but couldn't follow up under a 7lb penalty five days later. |

7th (10) (20/1 +20%) Warrior Lion |
20/1(+20%) | (10) Warrior Lion 20/1, Blinkered for 1st time, 19½ lengths ninth of 11 to Pepper Noir in handicap (14/1) at this C&D 16 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Would have a squeak if returning to the form of his C&D second in October. |

11/1(+21%) | (12) Trethorn 11/1, Blinkered for 1st time, sixth of 10 in handicap (10/1) at this course (10.7f) 28 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Tongue strap on 1st time. No forlorn hope. Regressive in handicaps at this track lately in various headgear and isn't easy to fancy. |

9th (6) (16/1 -14%) Sportingsilvermine |
16/1(-14%) | (6) Sportingsilvermine 16/1, Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. 7/1, respectable sixth of 11 in maiden at this course (10.7f) 7 days ago. Needs considering. Some decent efforts including in a C&D maiden last month; has to do more off this mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (15/2 +46%) Sir Callisto |
15/2(+46%) | (3) Sir Callisto 15/2, Tongue strap on for 1st time, seventeenth of 18 in handicap at the Curragh (10f, good, 33/1) on IRE flat debut. Flat winner in France; bit to prove on his two Irish runs but jockey booking takes the eye. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (100/1 -203%) Sub Rosa |
100/1(-203%) | (9) Sub Rosa 100/1, Seventeenth of 18 in handicap (150/1) at the Curragh (12f, good). Off 168 days. Difficult ask. Well below her former level for this yard this term; not easy to fancy after a break. |

12th (7) (100/1 -257%) Sweet Sundowner |
100/1(-257%) | (7) Sweet Sundowner 100/1, 33/1, first run since leaving E. Monfort when thirteenth of 18 in handicap at Galway (8.3f, heavy) on IRE debut 46 days ago. Significantly back up in trip. Tongue strap on 1st time. Uphill task. Well below best on debut for this yard in testing ground; this surface should suit better. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
PEPPER NOIR handled the step up to this trip really well here 16 days ago and may be able to follow up. The Outstrip filly was pressed late on then by Tudor Manor, but was a cosy enough winner and is fancied to defy a 6lb rise. Enough Already was trying to defy a 7lb penalty in that race, but could only finish fourth. He remains on the same mark and is capable of getting closer. Pralognan has been knocking on the door and could be place material again. His trainer Tony Martin also saddles Sir Callisto and Colin Keane is an eyecatching booking for that horse so market moves could be noteworthy.
ENOUGH ALREADY scored over C&D last month and is worth siding with to quickly resume winning ways having possibly found the run coming too fast when fourth here last time out. Recent C&D victor Pepper Noir heads the list of dangers, with the handily-weighted Pralognan another to consider. Trethorn completes the shortlist.
With two solid efforts in defeat at this venue lately, PRALOGNAN can get back on the scoresheet today.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
