8/1(-14%) | (11) May Night 8/1, Eighth of 14 in claimer (5/2) at this course (7f) 7 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Claims in best form and, while he has a bit to prove, he's worth monitoring in the betting. Potentially well-treated by the race conditions but this trip is a novelty for him. |

80/1(-700%) | (3) As Fast As Wind 80/1, Fair filly. 9/2, fourth of 7 in maiden at Tramore (12f, good). Off 91 days. Ran several good races here as a juvenile, below her best in two runs for this stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (16/1 -14%) Dalvey |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (14) (200/1 -203%) Kalsman |
200/1(-203%) | (14) Kalsman 200/1, Lightly-raced maiden on Flat. 100/1, good seventh of 13 in handicap at this course (16f) 14 days ago. Back down in trip. Hood on for 1st time in this code. Modest form on the Flat at this venue as well as in bumpers and over hurdles. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
JAAFEL can add to James McAuley's great record in claimers at this venue. The Dark Angel gelding beat Banana Tree by four lengths over an extended 10 furlongs this autumn and holds stablemate Autocrat on running behind Luke Short over C&D. The selection hasn't matched that form on both outings since but should appreciate the drop to this grade. Banana Tree has built up a sequence of runner-up places, including behind the well-bred Saturn over this trip a fortnight ago. Pachmena won here three years ago and bridged a long losing run when taking a lady riders' handicap over this trip at the Curragh in October. Inigo Jones held a career-high rating of 94 and was successful in Bahrain last winter for Jamie Osborne, while Neandra is another making her Irish debut having won twice for Andrew Balding, including over this trip at Lingfield.
PACHMENA was out of her depth at Bath last time but, back on home soil and down in grade, she's worth a chance to get her head in front. Jaafel is an obvious threat down in grade and Banana Three is worthy of respect on the back of a good second in a C&D handicap.
Beaten by a horse with a wonderful pedigree last time, BANANA THREE has a fair chance of making a breakthrough after three seconds

15/2(-67%) | (9) Victor's Choice 15/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Tongue strap on for 1st time, bit below form fourth of 13 in nursery at this course (8f, 14/1) 26 days ago. Back down in trip. Good chance on form she showed when narrowly denied at Galway in October. Nearest finish when second over 7f on nursery debut at Galway; fourth over 1m here since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (18/1 -13%) Dandy Lichious |
18/1(-13%) | (2) Dandy Lichious 18/1, Last of 12 in nursery (33/1) at this course (8f) 7 days ago. Back down in trip. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Ran well in Curragh nursery for Ger Lyons; well beaten here on first two starts for yard. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (16/5 -28%) Masonbrook Meadow |
16/5(-28%) | (1) Masonbrook Meadow 16/5, Lightly-raced maiden. 5/2 and blinkered for 1st time, respectable fifth of 13 in nursery at this course (8f) 26 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Back down in trip. Cheekpieces back on. Respected. Creditable runs in nurseries over further; has run well over 5f so drop to 6f can help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (25/1 -400%) Relentless Flyer |
25/1(-400%) | (8) Relentless Flyer 25/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 9/1, good fourth of 9 in nursery at this course (7f) 21 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Joseph O'Brien. Blinkers on 1st time, tongue strap on 1st time. Beaten less than 2l in 7f nursery; picked up cheaply out of Joseph O'Brien's yard since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MASONBROOK MEADOW made a pleasing debut over the minimum trip at Naas back in July and should appreciate this drop back in trip following a couple of handicap outings. She didn't enjoy the clearest of runs over seven furlongs and, last time, looked a big threat early in the straight before finding a mile too far. Relentless Flyer has progressed in four starts, including when beaten less than two lengths on her handicap debut here last month, and has since changed hands from Joseph O'Brien to the Hartys for just 1,500 euros. Cool Dan showed promise for Ger Lyons, including when second here in a claimer, while Victor's Choice may find this a bit sharp after finishing well over longer distances.
It might be worth giving another chance to VICTOR'S CHOICE to confirm her Galway promise now dropping back in trip. Eddie G is an interesting handicap newcomer for the Ado McGuinness team, while Masonbrook Meadow faded late on over 1m here last time and is another who may benefit from this return to shorter.
Separated by a neck over 1m last month, Victor's Choice and MASONBROOK MEADOW renew rivalry; the latter can fare best over this trip

6/5(+56%) | (1) Billboa 6/5, Fair gelding. 15/8, good second of 9 in maiden at this course (5f) 33 days ago, no match for winner. Two best runs have been in sprint maidens at this venue, holds a leading chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (7/4 +7%) Cross Border |
7/4(+7%) | (2) Cross Border 7/4, Fairly useful gelding. 4/5, respectable second of 7 in maiden at this C&D 21 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Placed on his last four starts, did not look the easiest of rides last time, vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (18/1 +18%) Loma Larnee |
18/1(+18%) | (7) Loma Larnee 18/1, Thrice-raced filly. Last of 10 in maiden (25/1) at the Curragh (6f, soft) 81 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Fair fourth over 5f at Down Royal in September, took a backward step at the Curragh. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/2 -29%) Local Girl |
9/2(-29%) | (6) Local Girl 9/2, Fair filly. Remains a maiden after 7 Flat runs. 9/2, below form fourth of 14 in maiden at this course (8f) 12 days ago. Back down in trip. Second in two of her three races at this venue, possible that she can go one better now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (16/1 -33%) Marble Angel |
16/1(-33%) | (8) Marble Angel 16/1, £28,000 yearling, Harry Angel filly. Dam, 2-y-o 6f winner (fourth in UAE 1000 Guineas), out of unraced close relative of Grand Critérium winner Second Empire. Betting should guide. Dam a Listed-placed 6f juvenile winner, from the family of Group 1 winner Second Empire. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (8/1 -191%) Hokusai |
8/1(-191%) | (3) Hokusai 8/1, Fair gelding. Remains a maiden after 10 Flat runs. Blinkered for 1st time, bit below form sixth of 14 in maiden at this course (8f, 4/1) 28 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Down in trip. Best form on heavy ground, has a bit to find with Local Girl based on a 7f clash here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (80/1 -21%) Hot Moon |
80/1(-21%) | (4) Hot Moon 80/1, Twice-raced gelding. 80/1, tenth of 14 in maiden at the Curragh (8f, good), doing too much too soon. Off 165 days. Back down in trip. Visored for 1st time. Appeared not to stay 1m at the Curragh in July though suffered interference then; visor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (150/1 -127%) Florence Thompson |
150/1(-127%) | (5) Florence Thompson 150/1, Poor mare. Remains a maiden after 44 Flat runs. Eleventh of 14 in handicap at this course (5f, 66/1) 12 days ago. Blinkered for 1st time. Now a 44-race maiden, placed 12 times, has lost her way since midsummer, no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (250/1 -150%) Windsor Road |
250/1(-150%) | (9) Windsor Road 250/1, Thrice-raced filly. 150/1, ninth of 13 in maiden at Galway (7f, heavy) 44 days ago. Ordinary turf form, perhaps a handicap prospect in due course if she takes to this surface. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BILLBOA made a pleasing debut when third to Almendares over C&D back in March and again showed a preference for this surface when putting some modest turf runs behind him on his return to the Polytrack last month. The Willie Browne-trained gelding was heavily supported when beating all bar Maggie McGrath and losses may now be recovered. Cross Border is an obvious threat but has been proving expensive to follow and was odds-on when beaten nearly three lengths by Never Cry Never here last month. Eddie Lynam's charge is closely matched with Loma Larnee on running behind Smullen's Pride at Down Royal, while Local Girl had Hokusai two lengths behind when runner-up to the progressive Pier Pressure here last month.
CROSS BORDER is given one final chance with a visor replacing the cheekpieces. Local Girl will be a threat if fully effective down at 6f. Billboa has been placed on both visits here and is next on the list.
Perhaps this drop in trip will help to bring out the best in LOCAL GIRL who is rated just a pound lower than Cross Border

1st (7) (9/4 +55%) McVay |
9/4(+55%) | (7) McVay 9/4, Promising type. Fourth of 13 in maiden at this course (8f, 10/1) on debut 5 days ago. Should improve and merits respect. Ran in a trial at Naas before showing ability with a fourth placing over 1m last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (11/10 +33%) Perretti |
11/10(+33%) | (9) Perretti 11/10, Promising sort. Third of 12 in maiden (5/1) at this course (8f) on debut 19 days ago, nearest finish. Open to a good deal of improvement and should take all the beating. Debut third behind the two market leaders over 1m was promising, 7f may not be ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (5/1 +58%) I Bid You Ajou |
5/1(+58%) | (5) I Bid You Ajou 5/1, Once-raced gelding. 22/1, fifteenth of 20 in maiden at the Curragh (8f, heavy) on debut 38 days ago. Colin Keane in the saddle but stablemate Rebelsontheboard has much more obvious claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (11/1 -47%) Late Night Talking |
11/1(-47%) | (6) Late Night Talking 11/1, Twice-raced gelding. Third of 14 in maiden (28/1) at this C&D 21 days ago, running on. Not discounted. Improved from satisfactory Curragh debut to take third here three weeks ago, could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (25/1 -285%) Rebelsontherun |
25/1(-285%) | (11) Rebelsontherun 25/1, Thrice-raced gelding. Fifth of 12 in maiden at this C&D (7/2) 14 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. May do better still. Needs to find a bit more judging by fifth placings at the Curragh and over C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (14/1 -17%) Puturhandstogether |
14/1(-17%) | (10) Puturhandstogether 14/1, Once-raced gelding. Ninth of 20 in maiden at the Curragh (8f, heavy, 33/1) on debut 38 days ago, not knocked about. Likely to improve. Shaped quite well in a 1m maiden at the Curragh, stablemate Perretti has stronger claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (50/1 -456%) Exceeding |
50/1(-456%) | (3) Exceeding 50/1, Thrice-raced gelding. 16/1, fourth of 12 in maiden at this C&D 14 days ago. Needs to do more. Gave an improved display when fourth here two weeks ago, under 2l behind Bruce Lightning. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (16/1 -60%) Bruce Lightning |
16/1(-60%) | (2) Bruce Lightning 16/1, Lightly-raced gelding. Hooded for 1st time, second of 12 in maiden at this C&D (33/1) 14 days ago. Likely to be on the premises again. Three poor turf runs after third at Cork, a revelation when second here two weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (14) (66/1 -32%) Zenato |
66/1(-32%) | (14) Zenato 66/1, Twice-raced gelding. 25/1, seventh of 12 in maiden at this course (8f) 19 days ago. Some merit in his two runs at this venue but not enough to suggest he can win a maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (250/1 -100%) Solar Falcon |
250/1(-100%) | (12) Solar Falcon 250/1, Twice-raced gelding. 150/1 and visored for 1st time, eleventh of 12 in maiden at this C&D 14 days ago. Has finished with only one rival behind in each of his two runs, no apparent chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (250/1 -100%) Aisling Oscar |
250/1(-100%) | (1) Aisling Oscar 250/1, Thrice-raced gelding. 200/1, last of 12 in maiden at the Curragh (8f, good). Off 109 days. Impossible to make a case for him based on three turf outings during the summer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (200/1 -614%) My Mate Tony |
200/1(-614%) | (8) My Mate Tony 200/1, Once-raced colt. 16/1, thirteenth of 14 in maiden at this C&D on debut 21 days ago. Needs to up his game markedly. Lost touch from an early stage on debut three weeks ago, Perretti is yard's number one. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (200/1 -60%) The Ukulele Style |
200/1(-60%) | (13) The Ukulele Style 200/1, Once-raced colt. Ninth of 14 in maiden (200/1) at this course (8f) on debut 33 days ago. Huge price when down the field over 1m here on debut, shorter trip is unlikely to help. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
PERRETTI cost 180,000 euros as a yearling at the Goffs Orby Sale and the well-bred son of Lope De Vega had Zenato behind when keeping on nicely into third behind Taraj on debut over a mile here last month. He should learn plenty from that experience and can cope with the drop back in trip. Similar sentiments apply to McVay, who makes a quick reappearance having also shaped well on debut here over a mile last Friday in the maiden won by Raknah. Genesis is one to keep a close eye on in the market as his half-brother Dandy Warhol made a successful debut here last year for the same connections. Bruce Lightning had Exceeding and Rebelsontherun both behind when runner-up to Seti over C&D a fortnight ago.
PERRETTI finished to good effect on debut over 1m at this course and, while the drop back in trip isn't necessarily in his favour, he should have enough to open his account at the second attempt. McVay also arrives on the back of a promising start, so he's regarded as the main danger ahead of Rebelsontherun.
Despite a slight reservation based on a drop in trip, PERRETTI showed enough here on his debut to suggest he can win a maiden

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
JAMES HENRY deserves a chance of luck. The Leanne Breen-trained gelding has filled the runner-up spot on six occasions, including his latest three starts at this venue. He was beaten a head by El Bello over C&D last month and didn't enjoy the clearest of passages when again narrowly denied by Theriverrunsdeep last Wednesday. Bucky Larson, a seven-time winner, including three at this venue, has dropped significantly in the ratings since being claimed out of Ger Lyons' yard just over a year ago, but has been consistent since returning to the Polytrack and beat all bar Gobi Star last time. Rattletheonionbag is another to consider after three maiden runs, while Morning Approach returned to form here last time and Jack Kearney claims a valuable 5lb.
DUTCH GLORY was never involved at Leopardstown last time but she was on the upgrade prior to that so can bounce back on her return from a break. Morning Approach and Nyla Rua head the dangers.
Drawn wide when second here last time BUCKY LARSON can go one place better. He is preferred to the frustrating James Henry

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
DROMANTINE won a nursery over C&D just before Christmas last year and has been given a chance by the handicapper. The Conyngham Lodge-trained filly has shaped quite well since returning here this autumn and was only beaten about a length when fifth last time over a mile. Chica Power is well suited by this trip, having won three times over C&D, and again ran well in a claimer last Wednesday, while Leopardstown maiden winner River Derwent took advantage of a major drop in the ratings this year when beating James Henry here last month. The Bog Bank is a model of consistency at this venue and while she's done all her winning over a mile, looks sure to again give a good account.
DROMANTINE took a step back in the right direction when fifth over a mile here last month and, with this drop back in trip a good move and eased 2 lb, she is pretty appealing despite the wide draw. River Derwent isn't nailed on to back up his C&D success 3 weeks ago but will be a threat if able to do so, while The Bog Bank is also shortlisted, along with Chica Power.
Runner-up off 81 in a Curragh handicap last year, a 7lb rise may not prevent RIVER DERWENT from following up last month's C&D victory

9th (10) (20/1 -11%) Slieve Bearnagh |
20/1(-11%) | (10) Slieve Bearnagh 20/1, 6/1, eleventh of 14 in handicap at this C&D 12 days ago, always behind. That was his first start for 11 weeks and that run may well have brought him on. Largely kept away from this venue, 6l defeat over C&D lately was only his second visit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (17/2 -89%) Wajaaha |
17/2(-89%) | (1) Wajaaha 17/2, Course winner. 33/1, bit below form eleventh of 20 in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (19.8f, soft) 11 days ago, doing too much too soon. Knocking on the door previously in this sphere and well worth a second look with his rider taking off handy 5 lb. Beaten no more than a length last three C&D runs; draw not great but will be thereabouts. |

14th (9) (50/1 -25%) Wantoplantatree |
50/1(-25%) | (9) Wantoplantatree 50/1, 150/1, sixteenth of 17 in handicap at Galway (11.8f, heavy) 44 days ago, beaten long way out. Makes polytrack debut. Has shown little for current yard; hood fitted for first run at this venue. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The trainer's daughter Ciara Flynn gets a good tune out of POWER DRIVE at this venue and the veteran gelding appears on an attractive mark as he bids for a sixth course win. The eight-year-old ran a cracker on his return to this venue last month when a length third to Rhythm And Tyne, and the form of that race has worked out well since. Keilah is closely matched with the selection on that run and merits serious consideration with scope for further improvement. Katonah has been placed on varying ground conditions, including in deep ground at Galway last time, and it will be interesting to see how she copes with this surface. Breagagh and Slieve Bearnagh are others to consider.
KATONAH remains a maiden but she very much caught the eye when finishing third in a big-field Galway handicap back in October, likely she'd have gone very close but for meeting with trouble in running. She gets the nod on AW debut, with Wajaaha who has been in good form recently rating the lead threat. Power Drive and Picpoul also make some appeal.
Fourth here on handicap debut, KEILAH is selected to make the breakthrough; she is closely matched with Power Drive but is unexposed

40/1(+0%) | (14) Turbo Sprint 40/1, Blinkered for 1st time, tenth of 14 in handicap (33/1) at this course (8f) 19 days ago. Significantly back up in trip. Easy to look elsewhere. Not beaten that far over 1m last time when tried in blinkers; this trip not sure to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (17/2 +15%) Hinemoa |
17/2(+15%) | (9) Hinemoa 17/2, Course winner. Stepped up on recent run when second of 14 in handicap (14/1) at this C&D 12 days ago. In the mix with a repeat. Likeable mare is dual 1m4f winner here; narrowly beaten by in-form rival over C&D latest. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A tightly-knit handicap, with a number of form lines linked around recent dual course winner Rhythm And Tyne, and OLD PECULIER may come out on top. The Mark Fahey-trained gelding had Hinemoa just behind when a close fifth last month and again went close over C&D last time, when only headed close home by Oakley. The application of blinkers may help to get the job done. Hinemoa had Doctor Grace, a C&D winner last month, a length behind when they filled the places here earlier this month. Streetscape advertised his chance when third in that race won by Doctor Grace, while Flier, Dark Street and handicap debutant Marians Gal are others to consider.
It's been a while since GRACESOLUTION got her head in front, but if first-time headgear can eke out that bit extra, Ross O'Sullivan's 6-y-o is fancied to build on her third here last month at the expense of Doctor Grace, who continues to go from strength to strength for her in-form stable. Old Peculier and Dark Street are another couple who could well have a say in an open-looking finale.
A dual course winner over 1m4f, HINEMOA showed her effectiveness over this trip when a close second last time and can go one better

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
