CLEVER IMPULSE was far from disgraced on debut over C&D last month and, given normal improvement, may prove difficult to beat. The Joseph O'Brien-trained filly was never really involved after a tardy start but kept on well to take fourth behind the impressive Orderofthephoenix. Dandy Lichious is the most experienced in the line-up with his five outings spanning the length of the season including when fourth to Asian Daze over this trip at the Curragh while Eddie G is another to consider. It will be interesting to see if the market speaks in favour of one of the newcomers with Step It Out, a 45,000 guineas daughter of Inns Of Court, and Celebrity Icon of particular interest.
CLEVER IMPULSE made an encouraging start here last month and is sure to progress, so looks the way to go. Step It Out and Celebrity Icon are interesting newcomers.
The experience gained by CLEVER IMPULSE may be enough to see her contain newcomers Step It Out and Celebrity Icon

40/1(+0%) | (14) Special Angel 40/1, Twice-raced filly. Eighth of 12 in maiden (10/1) at this C&D 33 days ago. Showed some promise on her debut here in August, last month's run was not as promising. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (4/1 +56%) Ateenosix |
4/1(+56%) | (6) Ateenosix 4/1, Once-raced colt. 16/1, sixth of 14 in maiden at this C&D on debut 33 days ago, very green and not knocked about. Should progress. Slowly away first time out here last month, likely to be more professional now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (14/1 +0%) Brackloon Bay |
14/1(+0%) | (11) Brackloon Bay 14/1, Foaled April 19. The Gurkha filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful German 1m winner Open Sea and 2-y-o 7.4f winner Disdainful. Maiden dam is a half-sister to ill-fated Albany Stakes winner Newfangled, in good hands. |

200/1(-33%) | (7) Bacio 200/1, Once-raced colt. 200/1, twelfth of 13 in maiden at this C&D on debut 14 days ago. Huge price when in rear here two weeks ago, can be safely ruled out. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
OCEAN BLISS was noted staying on into mid-division behind Megarry on her debut in a 23-runner Curragh maiden back in August. It is of some concern that she hasn't been seen since but that maiden hasn't worked out too badly with the winner subsequently successful in a Listed race and the selection should be suited by this extra furlong. Ateenosix also showed promise on his only start over C&D last month, while Bergamasco is another for the shortlist following his third behind better fancied stable-companion Take Me To Church here a fortnight ago. Sumptuary Law beat all bar Orderofthephoenix here last month and that form may get a boost in division one while Little Lady Lucy, Sorrento Sky and Brackloon Bay are among the newcomers to note.
Probably not a strong maiden and LITTLE LADY LUCY might be able to make a successful start, with the betting likely to prove informative. Sumptuary Law and Bergamasco are dangerous.

First run for yard after leaving Charlie Johnston. One to consider. Twice placed for Charlie Johnston in June, subsequent form raises doubts, Irish debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (25/1 -108%) Magnetic North |
25/1(-108%) | (5) Magnetic North 25/1, Fairly useful gelding. 4 wins from 14 runs this year. Last of 14 in handicap at this course (12f, 66/1) 14 days ago. Significantly down in trip. Booking of Lee a plus. Decent strike-rate (9-58) on turf but has never been placed on AW, well held here lately. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BRAINS gained all bar one of his 11 UK wins on the all-weather and has continued to do well since joining Eric McNamara this summer. The selection adopted his customary front-running role when beating Pinball Wizard by eight lengths in a claimer over C&D a fortnight ago and ran a cracker in a handicap again over a mile here last Friday when only going down by half-a-length to Punk Poet. Pierre Lapin held a career high mark of 110 after winning the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes as a juvenile but with a record of one win from his last 35 starts has tumbled down the ratings, although he appears to have found a level in recent outings. Venetian won twice for Mark and Charlie Johnston while Magnetic North completed a hat-trick in claimers this summer but has lost his way in recent months.
Hard to see past BRAINS, who won a similar contest easily here a fortnight ago before going close in a stronger handicap on Friday. Pierre Lapin and Venetian are a couple of the other key players.
A handsome C&D winner in this grade on his penultimate start BRAINS (nap) can be fancied to confirm form with Pinball Wizard

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
NOT FORGOTTEN won a barrier trial here last year and has been consistent in five outings this term including when placed on all three visits to this venue. The selection had Nakassama a length behind when filling the runner-up spot behind the odds-on Persian Jewel earlier this month and a reproduction of that form may be good enough. Hokusai is held by Not Forgotten on running at Bellewstown this summer but has put in a couple of solid efforts since including behind favourite Pier Pressure here last Wednesday and is now fitted with blinkers for the first time. Hotaugustnight is probably best suited by a mile on a sound surface, while Miss Aytan was too keen on her only start in a Down Royal bumper.
NOT FORGOTTEN sets the standard on the pick of his form and this looks a good opportunity for him to finally shed his maiden status. Hotaugustnight and Hokusai are a couple with solid each-way claims.

3rd (10) (7/1 -27%) Hero Of The Hour |
7/1(-27%) | (10) Hero Of The Hour 7/1, Course winner. 3 wins from 9 runs this year. 7/2, respectable fourth of 13 in handicap at this course (6f) 19 days ago, never nearer. Back to a potentially lenient mark. Best form at 6f but recent run suggests this step up in trip worth a go. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (4/1 -33%) El Bello |
4/1(-33%) | (1) El Bello 4/1, Back to winning ways, on debut for new yard, here earlier this month and followed up (off 6 lb higher) over C&D 7 days ago. Raised 5 lb since but another bold bid anticipated. Seeking third C&D win within a fortnight; every chance although draw not as favourable. |

5th (7) (18/1 -50%) Western Cape |
18/1(-50%) | (7) Western Cape 18/1, First run since leaving Denis Hogan when eleventh of 17 in handicap (28/1) at Galway (8.4f, good to soft). Off 103 days. Others more persuasive. Absent since Galway festival; 2yo maiden form here would give him a shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (13) (11/1 +8%) Poet's Pride |
11/1(+8%) | (13) Poet's Pride 11/1, C&D winner. Respectable 3¼ lengths fourth of 14 to El Bello in handicap at this C&D (28/1) 14 days ago. Each-way claims. Fully exposed but C&D fourth to El Bello a fortnight ago was a fair effort; 1lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (66/1 -100%) Ha Long Bay |
66/1(-100%) | (9) Ha Long Bay 66/1, 20/1, ninth of 13 in handicap at this course (8f) 12 days ago. Others preferred. Yet to win obn AW and poor recent effort here doesn't augur well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

W. J. Farrell. This is tougher. Claiming winner here a week ago; only second try over this longer trip. |

14th (11) (50/1 +0%) Lily Like |
50/1(+0%) | (11) Lily Like 50/1, Remains a maiden after 24 Flat runs. Fourteenth of 20 in handicap (50/1) at the Curragh (7f, heavy) 15 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Hard to fancy. C&D third back in April off 52 so not one to rule out despite poor recent form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LITTLE KEILEE has been generally consistent this year including a win at Sligo in the spring and has put together a number of solid efforts recently including when very unlucky in running here last Wednesday. El Bello is bidding for a quick hat-trick after two C&D wins within the past fortnight and his narrow margins of victory have resulted in a combined rise of 11lb. The booking of Calum Hogan could prove inspired as he looked good value for his 10lb claim when successful aboard Fleetfootsoldier here earlier this month. Un Bacio Ancora was claimed by current connections after gaining a belated first win here last week while others to consider include three-time C&D winner Mullacash Buzz ,who is dropping down to an attractive mark, and Hero Of The Hour.
EL BELLO has rediscovered the winning habit since joining his new yard and remains feasibly treated on old form. He can complete the hat-trick. Hero of The Hour and Mullacash Buzz head the list of dangers.

Good bit to find on recent C&D run behind Inishmot Prince; visor replaces cheekpieces. |

14/1(+0%) | (5) Bonny Power 14/1, C&D winner. 28/1, ninth of 14 in handicap at this C&D 12 days ago, not knocked about. Others more persuasive. Recent C&D also-ran; Billy Lee now takes over so improvement possible but draw a negative. |

28/1(-27%) | (8) Coco Hill 28/1, Below form ninth of 24 in handicap (16/1) at Naas (5.9f, soft), would have benefited from stronger handling. Off 100 days. First run for yard after leaving Michael Fenton. Not taken lightly. Couple of placings at Tipperary this year and back from three months absence for AW debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SAM'S XPRESS won twice here earlier this year including at this trip and indicated a return to the winners' enclosure could be imminent when a close third to Samrogue over C&D last time. The Kieran Cotter-trained gelding appears to really enjoy this surface and is fancied to reverse places with the surprise second Below Deck while a number of these rivals were behind on that occasion. Maggie McGrath gained a deserved win when showing good speed throughout in a maiden here last Friday and the cheek pieces are now replaced by first-time blinkers. Inishmot Prince also won over C&D last time recording a sixth success at the track, while No Speed Limit has dropped down to an attractive mark.
A chance is taken on KUWAIT DIRECTION who could be sharper with his recent first outing in 5 months behind him and has dropped to 4 lb below the mark he defied here at the beginning of the year. Sam's Xpress, Inishmot Prince and Coco Hill head the many possible dangers.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
DOCTOR GRACE won in fine style over seven furlongs here back in February and, after a couple of races on turf, has again shown her liking for the surface when upped to this trip. She finished well from off the pace when beaten less than a length behind Dark Street and again filled fourth spot when fitted with cheek pieces last Wednesday. Blinkers are now applied and she should enjoy a fitness edge over Clever Capall who was just denied here earlier this year and now reappears after a nine months break. Say It So showed promise when a length third to Elsa's Pride in a 17-runner Cork event, while Gemini Man and Liberated Girl are others to consider.
DOCTOR GRACE has shaped better than the result on her last couple of starts and is on an appealing mark, so she's the obvious answer to this decidedly weak contest. Clever Capall is the obvious danger if fit and Liberated Girl warrants a mention having run well at Galway last time.

2nd (11) (22/1 +45%) Nawraq |
22/1(+45%) | (11) Nawraq 22/1, 50/1, probably needed the run in a first-time tongue strap after 11 months off when tenth of 16 in handicap at Galway (7f, heavy) 16 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Makes all-weather debut. Okay Galway comeback run; AW debut and others preferred. |

4th (5) (28/1 +30%) Keilah |
28/1(+30%) | (5) Keilah 28/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 200/1, made little impression when seventh of 14 in maiden at this C&D 19 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Nothing so far in maidens and hard to make a case for on handicap debut. |

5th (4) (3/1 +70%) Old Peculier |
3/1(+70%) | (4) Old Peculier 3/1, 10/1, failed to come on for recent run when seventh of 16 in handicap at Gowran (9.4f, heavy) 30 days ago, losing place before final 1f. Not dismissed having just a second outing on the all-weather. Reduced mark appeals but outside draw doesn't. |

6th (10) (33/1 -230%) Hinemoa |
33/1(-230%) | (10) Hinemoa 33/1, Course winner. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Shaped as if better for the run after 6 months off when eighth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (28/1) 54 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Dual 1m4f winner earlier in year; back down to last winning mark so don't rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (13) (16/1 +52%) Limited Edition |
16/1(+52%) | (13) Limited Edition 16/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2021. Fifteenth of 18 in handicap at Navan (10f, good to soft, 16/1) 74 days ago. Better anticipated returned to all-weather. Not beaten far over C&D in August (off 3lb higher) but poor run since on turf; bit to find. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (20/1 -186%) Jalo |
20/1(-186%) | (1) Jalo 20/1, 15/2, wasn't seen to best effect on first outing since leaving Noel Meade when eighth of 14 in handicap at this course (7f) 26 days ago, left poorly placed. Significantly back up in trip. Claiming winner; placed in C&D maiden early in the year so return to this trip could suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (7/1 -75%) Dark Street |
7/1(-75%) | (9) Dark Street 7/1, C&D winner in September. Shaped as if still in good form when sixth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (13/2) 33 days ago, left poorly placed. Can feature. Best form has come over C&D; remains of interest, despite high draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (15/2 -25%) Morning Approach |
15/2(-25%) | (2) Morning Approach 15/2, Course winner. Sixteen runs since last win in 2022. Possibly unsuited by conditions when eighth of 18 in handicap (17/2) at the Curragh (8f, soft) 53 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Has good chance on form. Both wins have been over shorter but Leopardstown second suggests this trip worth a shot. |

12th (3) (18/1 +0%) Harriet Eagle |
18/1(+0%) | (3) Harriet Eagle 18/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Too free when eighth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (20/1) 33 days ago, folding. Needs to settle better and wide draw here not ideal. |

33/1(-65%) | (14) Contradanza 33/1, Fared little better in first-time cheekpieces after 8 weeks off when seventh of 14 in handicap (66/1) at this course (7f) 2 weeks ago. Significantly up in trip. Others more persuasive. Regressive filly takes marked step up in trip here; 3lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (8) (100/1 -150%) Bedelia |
100/1(-150%) | (8) Bedelia 100/1, Winner at Ballinrobe in June. 125/1, last of 6 in juvenile hurdle at Punchestown (16.6f, good) 36 days ago. Tongue strap back on. Modest on the Flat, well held on last outing in July. Runner-up here a year ago so handles surface and not one to rule out off this reduced mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MORNING APPROACH won a maiden here as a juvenile and also scored over a mile at Leopardstown last year. The selection has rarely raced beyond a mile but did go close over 1m2f at Cork last year and arguably ran her best race this year over nine furlongs at Leopardstown. Power Drive has built up a good association with Ciara Flynn at this venue winning three times and has dropped down to a reasonable mark. He should benefit from a recent outing in a Leopardstown charity race while Dark Street won over C&D on his penultimate start. Jalo won a maiden claimer here over six furlongs but is effective over further, while Bedelia has been mainly campaigned over hurdles since winning a claimer at Ballinrobe in June.
It's been a while since MORNING APPROACH last tasted success but in what looks a wide-open finale, Willie McCreery's mare gets the verdict to register her third career victory making a rare start on the all-weather these days. Power Drive's effort over C&D 8 months ago is easy to put a line through, so he could be the one to give the selection most to think about on return, with Dark Street and Rhythm And Tyne another couple worthy of a mention.
It could pay to side with MORNING APPROACH, unproven as yet over this far but runner-up over 1m1f at Leopardstown

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
