6/1(-9%) | (1) Dark Ace 6/1, 11/1, showed much improved form to get off the mark in 12-runner maiden at this C&D 16 days ago, well positioned. May well progress again. Much improved for C&D win on AW debut last month; good chance of following up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

1/1(+47%) | (3) Sounds Like A Plan 1/1, 5/1, won 8-runner maiden at Navan (5.8f, good) on debut 6 months ago, having to pick way through. Bit concerning he's not been seen since, but is open to improvement nonetheless. Impressive Navan debut winner back in May but absent since; could take the beating. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (15/2 +46%) Gran Habano |
15/2(+46%) | (5) Gran Habano 15/2, 25/1, matched previous form after 5 months off when 6 lengths seventh of 21 to East Hampton in maiden at the Curragh (6f, good to soft) 29 days ago. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (7/2 -56%) East Hampton |
7/2(-56%) | (2) East Hampton 7/2, Confirmed previous promise returning from a break when winning 21-runner maiden at the Curragh (6f, good to soft, 7/2) 29 days ago, quickening to lead final 1f. Makes all-weather debut. Open to further improvement. Recent Curragh winner; brother to a 6f AW winner so good chance he'll handle this surface. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (14/1 -40%) The Duke Mardukas |
14/1(-40%) | (8) The Duke Mardukas 14/1, Held back by inexperience when seventh of 11 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, soft, 7/1) on debut 24 days ago, very slowly away. Blinkered for 1st time. Needs to improve plenty on recent Curragh debut but blinkered now and Keane takes over. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (13/2 -30%) Cradle Of Love |
13/2(-30%) | (10) Cradle Of Love 13/2, 7/4, followed a good run with a below-par one when fifth of 14 in maiden at this course (7f) 7 days ago. Has good chance on form. Contender on best form but becoming disappointing and vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (33/1 -106%) Just Jump |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (200/1 -100%) Little Lando |
200/1(-100%) | (7) Little Lando 200/1, 28/1, showed only greenness when 10¾ lengths last of 12 to Dark Ace in maiden at this C&D on debut 16 days ago. Slowly away and green when last of 12 behind Dark Ace over C&D last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (125/1 -25%) Chriselli |
125/1(-25%) | (9) Chriselli 125/1, 40/1, never better than mid-field when 9 lengths thirteenth of 21 to East Hampton in maiden at the Curragh (6f, good to soft) on debut 29 days ago. Minor late headway on recent Curragh debut behind East Hampton but nearly 10l to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (125/1 -89%) Fort Star |
125/1(-89%) | (4) Fort Star 125/1, 25/1, had contested 2 barrier trials but offered little when thirteenth of 19 in maiden at Navan (5.8f, good to soft) on debut 23 days ago. Never counted after awkward start on last month's Navan debut; best watched for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (300/1 -50%) Miss Susanna |
300/1(-50%) | (11) Miss Susanna 300/1, Last of 10 in maiden (125/1) at this course (5f) on debut 14 days ago, rearing and losing all chance at start. No chance after a desperately slow start over 5f here a fortnight ago; best watched. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
EAST HAMPTON sets a good standard here off a mark of 90. The David Marnane-trained colt had some nice runs in hot maidens earlier in the campaign before opening his account at the Curragh last month. Connections said after his victory that he had matured a lot after a break and he looks like a nice sprinting prospect. Sounds Like A Plan was a good winner on his debut at Navan back in May, beating a smart horse in Tunbridge Wells. He commands respect but his absence since then would be a slight concern. The 84-rated maiden Cradle Of Love gets a nice chunk of weight, and has placed form here, so has to be considered.
Plenty in with a squeak but the vote goes to CRADLE OF LOVE, who is easily the most experienced of these and ran to a fairly useful level when narrowly denied here on her penultimate start. East Hampton confirmed previous promise returning from a break when scoring at the Curragh last month so he can provide most resistance, with another couple of previous winners Sounds Like A Plan and Dark Ace both fancied to be in the mix, too.
Impressive Navan winner SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN could take plenty of beating on his return to action

1st (3) (17/2 -13%) Dontspoilasale |
17/2(-13%) | (3) Dontspoilasale 17/2, One win from 28 Flat runs. Twenty-four runs since last win in 2022. Third of 9 in handicap at this C&D (10/1) 14 days ago, running on. Enters calculations. Strong-finishing C&D third a fortnight ago; one to consider although wide draw not ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/2 +54%) Dream Today |
11/2(+54%) | (1) Dream Today 11/2, Four-time C&D winner. First run since leaving Jack W. Davison when eighth of 9 in handicap (14/1) at this C&D 14 days ago. Back to a potentially lenient mark. Four-time winner here but recent C&D yard debut leaves him with plenty to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (9/4 +63%) Mehman |
9/4(+63%) | (7) Mehman 9/4, Course winner. 13/2 and blinkered for 1st time, creditable fifth of 14 in handicap at this course (7f) 35 days ago, nearest finish. Not discounted. Wins over 5f but stayed 7f here latest; not one to rule out with 10lb claimer aboard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (9/4 +50%) Moltophino |
9/4(+50%) | (4) Moltophino 9/4, 14/1, creditable second of 14 in handicap at Naas (5.9f, good to soft) 34 days ago, never nearer. Place possibilities. C&D second and recent Naas second augurs well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (20/1 -43%) Ivasecret |
20/1(-43%) | (14) Ivasecret 20/1, Latest win at Laytown in September. Sixth of 8 in minor event (125/1) at the Curragh (7f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Others look stronger. Ran above himself in Curragh conditions event latest but 9lb rise makes this difficult. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (50/1 -100%) Verified |
50/1(-100%) | (11) Verified 50/1, Last of 11 in handicap at the Curragh (5f, good to firm, 40/1), lost all chance at start. Off 163 days ahead of this polytrack debut. Difficult ask. Promising handicap debut but blown the start both starts since; hard to be confident in. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (17/2 +23%) Hero Of The Hour |
17/2(+23%) | (10) Hero Of The Hour 17/2, Three-time C&D winner. 3 wins from 12 runs this year, the latest here in October. Thirteenth of 17 in handicap at the Curragh (5f, good to soft, 16/1) 29 days ago. Looks vulnerable. Won here on penultimate start, soft ground against him since; respected despite wide draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (80/1 -186%) Clonmacash |
80/1(-186%) | (9) Clonmacash 80/1, C&D winner. Seventh of 10 in claimer (13/2) at this C&D 9 days ago. Uphill task. Won C&D nursery this time last year but below form this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (50/1 -52%) Revenite |
50/1(-52%) | (13) Revenite 50/1, 14/1, twelfth of 13 in handicap at this C&D 49 days ago. Plenty to find on form. Promising yard debut at Laytown in September but poor C&D run 11 days later raises doubts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (20/1 -43%) Army Of India |
20/1(-43%) | (12) Army Of India 20/1, Sixteen runs since last win in 2022. Ninth of 11 in claimer (7/2) at this C&D. Off 8 months ahead of this yard debut. Wouldn't be without a chance if on-song back from a break. Way below best in C&D claimer in early March when last seen and has since switched yards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (25/1 -108%) May Night |
25/1(-108%) | (6) May Night 25/1, Below form fifth of 15 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, good, 25/1), racing closer to pace than ideal. Off 138 days and down in trip on this debut for new yard. Prolific AW winner also won at Cork in May for Denis Hogan; back from break for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (25/1 -400%) Jered Maddox |
25/1(-400%) | (2) Jered Maddox 25/1, Four-time C&D winner. 3 wins from 11 runs this year. 8/1, won 10-runner handicap at Laytown (6f) 60 days ago. Big player. Laytown winner needs to improve on previous runs here though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (8) (33/1 +0%) Reinforce |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Reinforce 33/1, Latest win at Down Royal in July. 13/2, last of 16 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good) 82 days ago. Opposable. A 5f winner; couple of poor runs in Britain to bounce back from here and is 0-9 on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|RR| (5) (12/1 -20%) Cash Or Crypto |
12/1(-20%) | (5) Cash Or Crypto 12/1, Unreliable sort. C&D winner. Refused to race in handicap at Naas (5.9f, good, 8/1). Off 6 months. Others more persuasive. Last year's winner but refused to race at Naas back in May; caution advised. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MEHMAN ran on well over 7f here last time after having plenty to do turning for home. He will have no issue dropping back to 6f now and Nicola Burns looks very good value for her 10lb claim. Off a mark of 75, he should be capable of gaining a fourth win around here. Dontspoilasale ran well on his return to this venue a fortnight ago, when third to Daamberdiplomat, and off a 2lb lower mark he's entitled to be a big player. Moltophino was a decent second at Naas last time and is another to consider.
JERED MADDOX resumed winning ways at Laytown last time and, still on a fair mark, he is taken to follow up back at a course where he has scored seven times in the past. Having returned to form when third over this C&D a fortnight ago, Dontspoilasale gets the nod for forecast purposes ahead of Army of India and Mehman.
Plenty with chances but MEHMAN looks a strong candidate, having been left with plenty to do when upped in trip last time

1st (4) (9/2 +31%) Ja'marr |
9/2(+31%) | (4) Ja'marr 9/2, Definite promise on first 2 starts at up to 1m in the summer and may of needed the run after 3 months off when eighth of 14 in maiden at the Curragh (1m, good to soft) 29 days ago. Sort yard do well with in handicaps and no surprise to see an improved showing. Initial turf promise didn't materialise but potential for more on AW/handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (13/2 +7%) Adrienne |
13/2(+7%) | (6) Adrienne 13/2, Promising individual. 20/1, sixth of 11 in maiden at Naas (8f, good to soft) 34 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. Should improve. Staying on in turf maidens; visor tried for AW/handicap debut with potential for more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (33/1 -230%) You Are Mine |
33/1(-230%) | (1) You Are Mine 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 100/1, tenth of 11 in maiden at Gowran (1m) 55 days ago. Assessor appears to have taken no chances with opening mark and improvement required. Excuses at Gowran last time; potential improver but opening mark looks high enough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (13) (66/1 -100%) Hooz In Court |
66/1(-100%) | (13) Hooz In Court 66/1, Not made much of an impact in 5 starts to date, below form eighth of 16 in nursery (18/1) at Gowran (7f, heavy) 25 days ago. Much more needed on polytrack debut. Modest maiden form and cut no ice in two nurseries on turf; AW debut and 4lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (10/3 -11%) Midnight Stagger |
10/3(-11%) | (7) Midnight Stagger 10/3, 4/1, career best when winning 14-runner nursery at this course (7f) 42 days ago, leading under pressure well inside final 1f. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Can make presence felt. Recent 7f nursery winner here; 3lb higher and cheekpieces on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (14/1 -27%) Junkyard Dog |
14/1(-27%) | (2) Junkyard Dog 14/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Eleventh of 16 in nursery (22/1) at Galway (7f, heavy) 18 days ago. Switch to polytrack needs to have positive effect now. Never competitive in testing conditions at Galway, should appreciate this better surface. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (40/1 -21%) Handmedownmybible |
40/1(-21%) | (12) Handmedownmybible 40/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 100/1, fourth of 12 in maiden claimer at Naas (8f, good to firm) 57 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time but plenty more needed. Showed bit more in maiden claimer last time; cheekpieces on for return to handicap company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (20/1 -25%) Temps Leve |
20/1(-25%) | (5) Temps Leve 20/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Tenth of 14 in nursery (22/1) at this course (6f) 9 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Significantly up in trip. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Too much to do here last time; steps up in trip here and cheekpieces tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (20/1 -25%) Petit Fusee |
20/1(-25%) | (10) Petit Fusee 20/1, Lightly-raced filly. Below form seventh of 12 in nursery (10/1) at Down Royal (7.1f, good to firm) 70 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Never counted latest in Down Royal nursery last month; hard to fancy on AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (100/1 -203%) Legendsoftheland |
100/1(-203%) | (8) Legendsoftheland 100/1, Visored for 1st time, below form seventh of 16 in nursery (33/1) at Gowran (7f, heavy) 25 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Cheekpieces/tongue tie now the headgear of choice. Last month's handicap debut at Gowran leaves him with plenty to find; tongue-tie tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (8/1 +20%) Bad Timing |
8/1(+20%) | (9) Bad Timing 8/1, Mehmas filly who showed little in trio of quick-fire maidens at up to 6f in September. Up markedly in trip for handicap debut and she's in good hands, so one to monitor in the betting for positive vibes. Three sprint turf runs in September didn't offer much; step up in trip for AW/handicap bow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (3) (9/2 +10%) Great Mover |
9/2(+10%) | (3) Great Mover 9/2, Respectable third of 12 in nursery (3/1) at Bellewstown (7.9f, good to soft) 43 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Enters calculations. Solid turf runs at this trip of late; should be thereabouts if handling the surface. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (11) (66/1 -230%) Shangar |
66/1(-230%) | (11) Shangar 66/1, Soldier's Call filly who again showed little on qualifying run when tenth of 12 in maiden at this course (6f, 125/1) 16 days ago, slowly away and always behind. Progress required now attentions switch to nurseries. Never sighted in three maidens; back up in trip for handicap debut and hard to fancy. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MIDNIGHT STAGGER may be able to follow up on his victory here early last month. The Galileo Gold gelding was a bit green when hitting the front then, lugging to his left in the closing stages, and was probably value for a bit more than his winning margin of half a length. He is just 3lb higher now and cheekpieces are fitted. Great Mover has been placed on her last two outings and looks like the obvious danger on her all-weather debut. Ja'marr ran well for a long way in a decent Curragh maiden last time and could be a player now off a mark of 68 on his handicap debut.
This looks wide open and it could pay to side with ADRIENNE, who looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind and the application of a first-time visor could well put an extra edge on her. Ja'marr is another entitled to hold more chance now handicapping and is a threat. Recent course winner Midnight Stagger and Great Mover can also figure.
Recent winner Midnight Stagger and the consistent maiden Great Mover demand respect but a chance is taken on ADRIENNE

1st (10) (5/1 +38%) Sunriseontheboyne |
5/1(+38%) | (10) Sunriseontheboyne 5/1, Off the mark at Killarney (1m) in August and shaped better than bare result when sixth of 16 in nursery (12/1) at Galway (7f, heavy) 18 days ago, finishing with running left. Worth considering back at this trip. Killarney nursery winner well held four times since; looking exposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (12) (6/1 +33%) Your Call |
6/1(+33%) | (12) Your Call 6/1, Fifteenth of 16 in nursery (11/2) at Galway (7f, heavy) 18 days ago, folding tamely over 2f out. Previous Gowran second was a solid effort and bounce back rates distinctly possible. Galway run disappointing, contender on previous form if handling this surface. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (14) (11/2 +31%) Movin And Groovin |
11/2(+31%) | (14) Movin And Groovin 11/2, Creditable fourth of 14 in nursery at this course (6f, 9/2) 9 days ago. Significant step up in trip needs to unlock some improvement. Respectable runs in nurseries here; steps up in trip and claims if she improves for it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (14/1 +0%) Fairhaven |
14/1(+0%) | (1) Fairhaven 14/1, Ninth of 11 in nursery at this course (5f, 18/1) 21 days ago, losing place early in straight. Significantly back up in trip. Needs to get back on track. Not progressing; tries 1m for the first time and needs to improve for it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (8/1 +33%) Pompano Beach |
8/1(+33%) | (4) Pompano Beach 8/1, Lightly-raced filly. Ran no sort of race when last of 13 on nursery debut at Sligo (5.7f, soft) in August. Absent since and she could yet have more to offer back from a break. Potential improver now upped in trip for AW debut (sister won over this trip on AW). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (11/1 -10%) Kitty Bear |
11/1(-10%) | (11) Kitty Bear 11/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/2, eleventh of 16 in claimer at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 53 days ago, the run best excused given where she raced. Unexposed at this trip and better showing anticipated returned to nursery company. Penultimate Down Royal third off 1lb higher puts her right in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (33/1 -106%) Weegeebear |
33/1(-106%) | (9) Weegeebear 33/1, 7/1, last of 11 in nursery at this course (5f) 21 days ago. Needs to get back on track tackling this significantly longer trip. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Never travelled here on latest; cheekpieces replace blinkers now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (13/2 +54%) Tam Lin |
13/2(+54%) | (2) Tam Lin 13/2, Thrice-raced maiden. 25/1, seventh of 19 in maiden at Navan (5.8f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Significantly up in trip for handicap debut with cheekpieces now reached for. Upped in trip and cheekpieces fitted for AW/handicap debut; not one to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (28/1 -12%) Whats New |
28/1(-12%) | (8) Whats New 28/1, Soldier's Call colt. Little to shout about in trio of 1m maidens and significant step forward required if he's to figure on nursery debut. Penultimate Thurles run at this trip mildly encouraging; 10lb claimer's first ride. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (13) (3/1 +25%) Senior Montecristo |
3/1(+25%) | (13) Senior Montecristo 3/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, good third of 14 in nursery at this course (7f, 16/1) 42 days ago. Has good chance on form. Recent third augurs well, providing he stays this extra furlong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (28/1 -250%) Esque Elegance |
28/1(-250%) | (5) Esque Elegance 28/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Eleventh of 16 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, good to soft, 200/1) 41 days ago, not knocked about. Makes handicap debut and worth noting if the market spoke in her favour. Some Curragh promise but opening mark still appears on the high side for AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (50/1 -52%) Miss Ariana |
50/1(-52%) | (7) Miss Ariana 50/1, Didn't offer a great deal of promise all 3 starts in maidens at up to 1m on turf in recent months and progress required from what looks a stiff opening mark. Not too much to take from 3 runs, hard to see her having an immediate impact off this mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
POMPANO BEACH looks of interest here off a lowly enough mark of 66 on her second handicap appearance. The Ten Sovereigns filly didn't appear to act around Sligo when last seen in August and a more galloping track should suit. She had run well at Down Royal previously when fourth in a decent enough maiden won by Wizard Of Odds, and looks nicely treated on that form. Senior Montecristo ran a big race when third here over 7f last month and, having been eased 1lb, he has to have a big shout. Your Call ran poorly on heavy ground at Galway last time but has a chance on previous form, and the quicker surface here may suit.
SUNRISEONTHEBOYNE shaped better than the bare result when sixth in a big-field nursery at Galway (7f) 18 days ago and, back at 1m/re-united with the same pilot as when successful at Killarney back in August, he could be worth siding with to build on the promise of that effort. Senior Montecristo, following his good third over 7f here 6 weeks ago, Kitty Bear and Your Call are others to consider.
If staying the extra furlong recent course third SENIOR MONTECRISTO could prove the one to beat

2nd (2) (7/2 +22%) Scott Lang |
7/2(+22%) | (2) Scott Lang 7/2, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. 33/1, creditable fourth of 20 in handicap at Navan (14f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Weighted to go well. Decent run last time; ran well at this venue early in his career and is one to consider. |

15/2(-15%) | (4) Inchiquin Maid 15/2, 14/1, respectable sixth of 14 in handicap at this course (10.7f) 9 days ago. Possibilities. Beaten 6l over 1m2f here the last twice and has to do more though this trip should suit. |

20/1(+50%) | (6) Bright Start 20/1, Eleventh of 16 in novice hurdle (150/1) at Kilbeggan (19f, good to soft) on NH debut 70 days ago. Regressive. One time useful sort has been regressive this year and poor over hurdles when last seen. |

The Pat Flynn-trained TUDOR MANOR might be able to defy top-weight. Somewhat unlucky in running before staying on well to finish fifth at Navan recently, the eight-year-old is well handicapped if adapting to the surface. Although failing to reach the frame on his only two previous starts here, the gelding did shape with promise. In a winnable race, he arrives here in better form than most of his rivals. Sky Legend, whose only previous career win came in a claimer at this venue, has to enter calculations. Although well beaten here last time, that run came over a mile. Scott Lang, who showed a bit more when fourth at Navan last time, shouldn't be discounted.
SCOTT LANG rates just the pick of these weights so is taken to end a lengthy losing run at the chief expense of the in-form Tudor Manor. Inchiquin Maid and Fine Print also need considering in this tight-knit handicap.
TUDOR MANOR won over this trip on turf this year and has run well in defeat at this track so is selected.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
TRIBAL STAR, who only weakened late on when fourth over 1m4f at the Curragh on his Irish debut, should appreciate dropping back to this trip. Runner-up twice over the distance when trained in Britain, the son of Sea The Stars looked set to play a leading role before stamina came into play last time. With the benefit of that run under his belt, he can strike here for Ado McGuinness. Realism is probably no longer as good as a mark of 92 suggests but the Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding can win races. Third on his reappearance at Killarney last month, the five-year-old was fourth at Cork over hurdles last time. Dahab is another to consider in first-time cheekpieces.
Not nearly as competitive as the numbers suggest and REALISM is fancied to gain a deserved breakthrough victory for the in-form Joseph O'Brien team. Genoah also has the form to play a part and is next on the list ahead of debutants Jessie's Dreamgirl and La Punt.
If running to his rating Realism should win but that isn't certain, so TRIBAL STAR is a viable alternative with improvement likely.

8/1(+33%) | (7) Bloom Vega 8/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/1, below form eighth of 19 in maiden at the Curragh (12f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Likely to find one or two too good. Some decent maiden runs but not at her best over 1m4f last time; needs more on AW bow. |

4th (2) (5/2 0%) Debora's Dream |
5/2(0%) | (2) Debora's Dream 5/2, Useful colt. 2 wins from 6 runs this year, the latest at Sandown in July. 12/1, good third of 8 in handicap at Redcar (10f, soft) 10 days ago. Shortlist material. Three wins for Roger Varian incl' on AW; fine run for this yard last time and a player. |

5th (4) (14/1 -155%) Acotango |
14/1(-155%) | (4) Acotango 14/1, Fairly useful gelding. Twelve runs since last win in 2022. Creditable second of 12 in claimer (10/1) at this C&D 28 days ago. Shouldn't be far away. Sole win from 16 starts came on AW; just denied in a C&D claimer last time; considered. |

6th (6) (80/1 -100%) Effernock Fizz |
80/1(-100%) | (6) Effernock Fizz 80/1, Fair mare. Twenty one runs since last win in 2021. 25/1, last of 12 in handicap at Ballinrobe (13f, good). Off 144 days. Cheekpieces back on. Looks vulnerable. Tough and talented dual-purpose mare but has never won on AW and best watched on return. |

7th (3) (5/4 +58%) Persian Bliss |
5/4(+58%) | (3) Persian Bliss 5/4, Won 14-runner maiden (14/1) at this C&D on debut 21 days ago. This is tougher but he's completely unexposed. Showed a good attitude to win over C&D on debut and should be a player with more to come. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
PERSIAN BLISS, a winner on his racecourse debut over course and distance last month, has the potential to improve further. A son of Advertise, the colt was reluctant to load but did nothing wrong once the stalls opened. In beating a solid yardstick for the grade, the Adrian Murray-trained three-year-old hinted at better to come. UK raider Debora's Dream has to be respected for Jennie Candlish. The booking of champion jockey Colin Keane on the three-time winner certainly suggests that connections mean business. A multiple winner at this track, San Andreas has yet to convince over this extended trip but it would be a mistake for the others to give the veteran too much leeway out in front.
PERSIAN BLISS belied market weakness when making a winning start to his career in a C&D maiden three weeks ago and, with the promise of better to come from this colt, he is taken to maintain his 100% record. The consistent Debora's Dream is feared most ahead of Acotango and Not Just Any Eagle.
Though he had a tough enough race when winning on debut over C&D, PERSIAN BLISS showed a likeable attitude and can win again.

1st (10) (13/2 +74%) The Real Screamer |
13/2(+74%) | (10) The Real Screamer 13/2, 25/1, sixteenth of 24 in handicap at the Curragh (7f, soft) 24 days ago, weakening over 1f out. Previous effort at Navan wasn't devoid of encouragement by any means and the return to this longer trip may well help. Well beaten in four maidens and not much better in two handicaps. |

2nd (7) (9/2 -29%) Dancing Steve |
9/2(-29%) | (7) Dancing Steve 9/2, Winner at Tipperary in September. Good second of 14 in handicap (11/4) at this C&D 9 days ago, headed close home and no extra. Entitled to be in the mix again. Won at Tipperary and solid over C&D the last twice; up 2lb but considered again. |

4th (2) (6/1 +40%) Castleheath |
6/1(+40%) | (2) Castleheath 6/1, Winner at Sligo in May. 9/1, fifth of 7 in handicap at this course (8f) 9 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Return to this trip looks in his favour with blinkers now reached for. Disappointing in handicaps but a bit better over 1m at this track last time; of interest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (10/1 +17%) Special Angel |
10/1(+17%) | (5) Special Angel 10/1, Winner at Tipperary in September. 8/1, twelfth of 14 in handicap at this C&D 28 days ago, headed early in straight and soon beaten. Given more of a break ahead of this and bounce back distinctly possible. Tipperary winner ran well twice after but has to bounce back from a poor C&D run. |

6th (3) (10/1 -11%) Trethorn |
10/1(-11%) | (3) Trethorn 10/1, Creditable fifth of 9 in handicap at this course (12f, 12/1) 14 days ago. Fitting of first-time blinkers needs to have positive effect here. Disappointing in handicaps over 1m4f here the last twice; blinkers need to eke out more. |

7th (6) (10/1 +29%) Wing Glider |
10/1(+29%) | (6) Wing Glider 10/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 16/1, creditable sixth of 17 in handicap at the Curragh (10f, soft) 24 days ago, never nearer. Makes polytrack debut. Some ability in maidens and not a bad h'cap debut last time; considered on AW bow. |

8th (1) (22/1 -57%) Harbour Gem |
22/1(-57%) | (1) Harbour Gem 22/1, Blinkered for 1st time, eighth of 18 in handicap at Galway (8.3f, heavy, 20/1) 18 days ago. Back up in trip. Makes polytrack debut. Holds good claims on his early-season form but recent efforts hardly inspiring. Won a 1m2f maiden at Cork back in May for Dermot Weld but has been well below that since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (50/1 -52%) Small Bucks |
50/1(-52%) | (9) Small Bucks 50/1, 25/1, bit below form 8¾ lengths eighth of 15 to Special Angel in handicap at Tipperary (9f, good) 75 days ago, never better than midfield. Blinkers reached for now starting out for new yard. Has a squeak if repeating her best form with blinkers added for new yard. |

10th (4) (14/1 -100%) Poyraz Approach |
14/1(-100%) | (4) Poyraz Approach 14/1, Ex-German filly who made final start for Henk Grewe a winning one in 7-runner maiden at Magdeburg (10.2f, good) in July. Acquired by new connections for €14,000 in August and interesting where she figures in the betting now handicapping. Wide margin winner of a 1m2f maiden in Germany this summer; could be well-handicapped. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Denied by the narrowest of margins on his last visit here, KONIAG can gain some compensation. A winner on turf at Leopardstown earlier in the year, the Kieran Cotter-trained gelding has twice finished runner-up on the Polytrack. Despite being raised 2lb for his recent defeat, the three-year-old looks nicely handicapped. Colin Keane, who rode a four-timer here last week, is a significant booking. Dancing Steve, another who has strong recent placed form at this track, looks a live threat. The Ado McGuinness-trained gelding has the aid of Adam Caffrey's valuable claim. Poyraz Approach, a winner on her final start in Germany, is an intriguing contender on her stable debut for Matthew Smith.
KONIAG and Dancing Steve have both been knocking firmly on the door in recent months and may be the pair to fight this out, the former shading the vote under Colin Keane. Ex-German filly Poyraz Approach would also look interesting if the market spoke in her favour now handicapping for her new stable.
CASTLEHEATH showed a bit of spark over 1m here last time and the step-up in trip with blinkers could see him win again.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
