1st (1) (11/4 +45%) Hero Of The Hour |
11/4(+45%) | (1) Hero Of The Hour 11/4, Course winner. Latest win at Naas in August. 10/1, bit below form seventh of 17 in handicap at Fairyhouse (6f, good) 11 days ago. Has good chance on form. 3-time course winner at 6f; slightly more effective at 6f than 5f; others on better marks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (11/2 +27%) Senado Square |
11/2(+27%) | (2) Senado Square 11/2, C&D winner. Respectable seventh of 22 in handicap (22/1) at Naas (5f, good to soft) 40 days ago. Higher mark to contend with back on all weather C&D winner; out of form on turf this year; return to AW needs to spark revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (5/1 +23%) Hezahunk |
5/1(+23%) | (9) Hezahunk 5/1, One win from 26 Flat runs. Improved on recent efforts to win 9-runner maiden claimer at this course (6f, 11/2) 7 days ago, leading dying strides. Possibilities if replicating that back in handicap company from his basement mark. Won at 26th attempt in maiden claimer here last week at 6f; not sure to follow up at 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/2 +0%) Realtin Fantasy |
11/2(+0%) | (4) Realtin Fantasy 11/2, C&D winner. Two wins from 42 Flat runs. Creditable third of 15 in handicap at Navan (5f, good, 10/1) 27 days ago. Clearly doesn't find winning easy but her consistency is hard to knock of late. C&D winner; yet to win off mark this high but gone close several times this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (12) (25/1 +0%) Jackie Brown |
25/1(+0%) | (12) Jackie Brown 25/1, 25/1, fourteenth of 17 in handicap at Fairyhouse (6f, good) 11 days ago, soon behind and making no impression. Needs to get back on track. Looked regressive over last 18 months; no signs of revival last week; best form 6f+. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (18/1 -29%) Tai Sing Yeh |
18/1(-29%) | (11) Tai Sing Yeh 18/1, 5-time course winner. Twenty runs since last win in 2023. Eleventh of 17 in handicap at Fairyhouse (6f, good, 33/1) 11 days ago. Hasn't looked the force of old in recent months. Five-time course winner but yet to show much for this yard and probably needs further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (10/1 -100%) Stopitnowjulia |
10/1(-100%) | (10) Stopitnowjulia 10/1, 20/1, bit below form ninth of 15 in handicap at Navan (5f, good) 27 days ago, racing off the pace and never a threat. Not one to write off judged on promise of her previous run at Naas and booking of Keane an obvious plus. One of her better runs over this C&D when 3rd last November; generally struggled since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (14) (80/1 -142%) Veracidad |
80/1(-142%) | (14) Veracidad 80/1, Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. 3 lengths fifth of 9 to Hezahunk in maiden claimer at this course (6f, 125/1) 7 days ago, headed before final 1f and weakening. Others make greater appeal. 0-17; minor signs of revival here last week in a maiden claimer but needs to build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (13/2 +7%) Eruption |
13/2(+7%) | (5) Eruption 13/2, Latest win at Bellewstown in July. Below form fourth of 13 in handicap (25/1) at this course (6f) 7 days ago. Can give a good account again. All 3 wins on turf; unplaced in 8 AW starts; 4h over 6f here last week; drops in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (28/1 +15%) Speedwood |
28/1(+15%) | (3) Speedwood 28/1, Tenth of 13 in handicap at this course (6f, 20/1) 7 days ago, weakening final 1f. Visor on 1st time. 2nd in Naas maiden but struggled in h'caps since; beaten 7l here (6f) last week; visor on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (40/1 -60%) Rhasidat |
40/1(-60%) | (13) Rhasidat 40/1, Course winner. 40/1, ninth of 11 in handicap at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 11 days ago. Back down in trip. Hard to warm to at present. Dual AW winner but both those wins have come at 7f; hasn't shown enough in 3 starts at 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (11/2 -10%) Phil's Dream |
11/2(-10%) | (8) Phil's Dream 11/2, C&D winner. 9/1, seventh of 10 in handicap at Laytown (6f) 18 days ago. Visor back on. Not taken lightly returned to this track/trip. Sole win came over C&D; might have needed Laytown return; one to consider. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A C&D winner last November, REALTIN FANTASY has shaped up well with two placed effort on turf of late and is an attractive proposition back on Polytrack in this company. Eruption is closely matched with the selection based on their encounter at Down Royal in June and looks a key player on the revised terms, despite having yet to win on a synthetic surface. No Speed Limit and Hero Of The Hour are previous course winners with some each-way appeal.
A run-of-the-mill sprint handicap with the narrow vote in favour of PHIL'S DREAM. Back on his last winning mark, he's entitled to be sharper for his recent return at Laytown and, with the visor back on, it would come as no surprise to see him firmly in the mix. No Speed Limit, Hero of The Hour and Hezahunk are others to consider.
This could go the way of REALTIN FANTASY who is a C&D winner in good form and she's well drawn for her preferred tactics

1st (5) (11/4 +0%) Valiant Force |
11/4(+0%) | (5) Valiant Force 11/4, Caused a huge shock at Royal Ascot last season but seems to have completely lost form, 8¼ lengths last of 11 to Givemethebeatboys in Phoenix Sprint Stakes at the Curragh (6f, good to firm, 50/1) just under 8 weeks ago. Makes polytrack debut and this is a significant drop in grade. Top-class as a juvenile, struggling this year, drops in class but hard to be confident. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (15/8 +16%) Harry's Bar |
15/8(+16%) | (3) Harry's Bar 15/8, 4-time C&D winner. Came on significantly from his stable debut when second of 10 in handicap at Laytown (7f, 4/1) 18 days ago. Back down in trip. Cheekpieces back on. Has to be taken seriously. Won this race in 2021 and last year, 15 AW wins in all, heps to give trainer a strong hand. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (15/2 -36%) Arnhem |
15/2(-36%) | (1) Arnhem 15/2, Course winner. Fifteen runs since last win in 2023. Merely hinted at a revival after just 2 days off when fourth of 6 in handicap (11/2) at Down Royal (5f, soft) 4 days ago. Modest strike-rate (2-35) but placed 14 times, three of these are better off at weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (13/8 +28%) Betsen |
13/8(+28%) | (2) Betsen 13/8, Useful gelding. 80/1, seemingly flattered when 3¼ lengths tenth of 11 to My Mate Alfie in Renaissance Stakes at the Curragh (6f, good to soft) 5 days ago. Makes all-weather debut. One to consider. Useful sort but took a while to win a race, sights lowered after a Group 3 bid last Sunday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (150/1 -355%) Tamazu |
150/1(-355%) | (6) Tamazu 150/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. 22/1, again finished well held in minor event at Laytown (7f) 18 days ago. Back down in trip. Very hard to make a case for. Turf winner; has made little impact on this surface; no apparent chance at these weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HARRY'S BAR showed much improved form when making his second start for the Jack W Davison yard and hitting the crossbar over 7f at Laytown last time. The nine-year-old is a four-time C&D winner and it would be no surprise to see him gain a 16th career victory. Valiant Force sets the standard with a rating of 101 but has failed to fire in his three starts for the Adrian Murray stable, while Betsen is another to keep an eye on.
A trappy sprint but HARRY'S BAR came on significantly from his stable debut when runner-up at Laytown last month, so he's fancied to notch C&D victory number 5 refitted in cheekpieces at the expense of Betsen, who was seemingly flattered in a Group 3 at the Curragh last Sunday and makes his all-weather debut. Valiant Force should find this much easier than recent assignments, so he rounds off the shortlist.
Jack Davison holds the aces. Betsen has youth on his side but the experience of 15-time AW winner HARRY'S BAR may prove crucial

1st (11) (66/1 -267%) Lady With The Lamp |
66/1(-267%) | (11) Lady With The Lamp 66/1, Winner at Bath in June. Very good 1½ lengths third of 8 to Powerful Nation in minor event at this C&D (12/1) 14 days ago, driven over 1f out and keeping on. That may not prove her limit but a step back up in trip may suit on that evidence. Won Bath maiden and best run when C&D 3rd latest but needs more up in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (13) (5/2 -25%) Revoke |
5/2(-25%) | (13) Revoke 5/2, Blue Point filly who justified strong market support to make a winning debut in 12-runner maiden at Naas (5.9f, good to soft) 40 days ago, impressively. Shortlisted with progress anticipated. Well backed facile success at Naas on debut and that form has worked out very nicely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (3/1 +33%) Powerful Nation |
3/1(+33%) | (5) Powerful Nation 3/1, Promising individual. 2 wins from 4 runs this year. 11/4, won 8-runner minor event at this C&D 14 days ago by 1½ lengths from Amazing Athena, cosily. Looks competitive on form. Improving sort who has 2 wins over 5f, including over C&D latest; may improve again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (11/2 +0%) Arizona Blaze |
11/2(+0%) | (1) Arizona Blaze 11/2, Dual 5f/6f winner at the Curragh in the spring and he has continued in good form, travelling strongly long way when second of 20 in conditions event at York (6f, good to firm) 22 days ago. Can go well again back at 5f. Group 3 winner earlier in year; held form well since; Group penalty a little off-putting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (25/1 +11%) Morning Vietnam |
25/1(+11%) | (4) Morning Vietnam 25/1, C&D maiden winner. Latest win at Cork in July. 5½ lengths fifth of 7 to Ides of March in Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh (6f, good, 18/1) 34 days ago, seeming stretched by the step up in trip. Not out of things. C&D winner on debut; followed up career best Cork win with Gr 3 5th; needs more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (14) (10/3 +33%) Sayidah Dariyan |
10/3(+33%) | (14) Sayidah Dariyan 10/3, Promising type. 1 win from 2 runs this year. 1/6, won 12-runner maiden at Lingfield (6f, AW) 24 days ago, impressively accelerating clear through the final 2f. That effort was backed up by the clock and well worth her place at this higher level. Off the mark at 2nd attempt in Lingfield maiden; couldn't have won any easier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (100/1 -52%) Flash The Cash |
100/1(-52%) | (10) Flash The Cash 100/1, Fair filly. Good second of 14 in maiden at this course (6f, 7/2) 14 days ago. Looks to have her work cut out upped markedly in grade. 0-6; best run came when beaten 6l in Queen Mary; back to form when 2nd in 6f maiden here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (40/1 -43%) Oxford Rock |
40/1(-43%) | (12) Oxford Rock 40/1, Fairly useful filly. Didn't need to improve to win 10-runner maiden at Navan (5f, good, 4/9) 13 days ago, kept up to work. Makes polytrack debut. Needs to pull out more. Beaten 5l in Queen Mary; off the mark at 6th attempt last month; much more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (28/1 -12%) Snapdragon |
28/1(-12%) | (8) Snapdragon 28/1, Fairly useful colt. Last of 4 in minor event (evens) at Navan (5.8f, good) 27 days ago, finding little. Blinkers go back on and no surprise to see him bounce back. 0-7; went close in h'caps off 83 twice; disappointing evens fav latest; needs career best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (8/1 +11%) Sir Yoshi |
8/1(+11%) | (7) Sir Yoshi 8/1, Useful colt. Winner at Tipperary in May. Very good 1½ lengths third of 16 to Tropical Storm in listed race at York (5f, good to firm, 28/1) 41 days ago, that despite making his move out wide. Claims of getting involved again on that evidence. Maiden winner in May and solid form since, including York Listed 3rd latest; shortlisted. |

125/1(-150%) | (2) Lethimfly 125/1, Fairly useful colt. Winner at Bellewstown in July. Respectable sixth of 22 in minor event at the Curragh (6.3f, good, 25/1) 19 days ago. Back down in trip. The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Only worn down late on in a highly valuable sales contest at York's Ebor meeting, ARIZONA BLAZE is likely to be well suited to dropping back to 5f for the first time since finishing third in the Norfolk. Adrian Murray's charge can overcome a 5lb penalty for winning a Group 3 in May, with Revoke looking best placed to chase him home after an impressive debut success at Naas in August. British raider Sayidah Dariyan looked good when bounding clear at Lingfield last time out and is another to consider, along with recent C&D winner Powerful Nation.
Several progressive types in opposition with Richard Hughes' filly SAYIDAH DARIYAN getting the nod to come out on top. She marked herself down as a pattern-class performer in the making when bolting up at Lingfield 24 days ago and she's well worth her place at this higher level. Revoke and Powerful Nation are similarly upwardly mobile types and are feared along with Arizona Blaze.
It's difficult to get away from REVOKE (nap) who made easy work of her debut when well backed and that form is working out nicely

10/1(-43%) | (1) Admirador 10/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 10/1, sixth of 12 in maidenclaimer at Naas (8f, good to firm) 15 days ago. Switch to handicaps should see him in a better light. Not beaten far in Naas maiden on second start but low key efforts either side; tough mark. |

15/2(-15%) | (8) Annie Lavinia 15/2, Ninth of 14 in maiden at this course (6f, 16/1) 14 days ago. Booking of Lee a plus. Makes handicap debut and there should be a bigger performance in her. Minor promise in 3 maidens and shaped like 7f may be okay here last time. |

25/1(-178%) | (3) Sassy Sox 25/1, Eighth of 16 in claimer at Fairyhouse (7f, good, 14/1) 11 days ago, slowly away. Makes handicap debut. Not disgraced on debut here (6f) but has gone backwards in 2 7f turf runs since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (10/1 +38%) Boutella |
10/1(+38%) | (5) Boutella 10/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, creditable fourth of 12 in nursery at Down Royal (7.1f, good to firm, 9/1) 28 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Unplaced in 5; one of her better runs when 4th last month; h'capper slow to relent. |

28/1(-211%) | (4) Bamako 28/1, 22/1, last of 12 in nursery at the Curragh (6f, good to firm) 48 days ago. Not taken lightly on best form but clearly a big bounce back is required. Minor promise in maidens; failed to get competitive in h'caps; return to 7f should suit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The penny seemed to drop with MIDNIGHT STAGGER at Down Royal last time. Beaten less than a length when caught by the winner in the closing stages, he will likely launch another serious challenge with an apprentice's 5lb claim further helping his cause. Katie Ross could only manage fourth behind the selection, though she wasn't beaten that far, and looks worthy of another try over today's distance. Zaraahmando was no match for the winner when runner-up at the same Down Royal fixture, but Bamako may prove more of a threat representing last year's winning trainer.
MIDNIGHT STAGGER displayed improved form when runner-up at Down Royal a month ago and with that up there with the most persuasive form on offer, he looks the way to go from a handy draw. Eric Lock ought to be a factor from his current mark, with Annie Lavinia a potential improver now tackling a nursery.
This can go the way of MIDNIGHT STAGGER who was only just touched off last month and Wesley Joyce takes 5lb off this time.

66/1(-164%) | (8) Queens Fury 66/1, Fairly useful filly. 13 lengths fifth of 7 to Bernard Shaw in maiden at this course (8f, 10/3) 50 days ago. Failed to stay 1m in the race won by Bernard Shaw, held by Va Va Vroom on Gowran running. |

8th (4) (66/1 -32%) Kahu |
66/1(-32%) | (4) Kahu 66/1, Twice-raced maiden. 14/1, third of 9 in maiden at Listowel (7.1f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Tough ask. Has made the frame in 7f maidens at Gowran and Listowel, unlikely to be good enough here. |

9th (6) (200/1 -100%) Actin Like A Diva |
200/1(-100%) | (6) Actin Like A Diva 200/1, Winner at Navan in September. First run since leaving David Marnane when 6¾ lengths sixth of 7 to Rebel Diamond in listed race at Fairyhouse (6f, good, 125/1) 11 days ago. Sixth of seven in a 6f Listed race at Fairyhouse, trainer continues to set the bar high. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Having posted a solid third over a mile in the Group 2 Champions Juvenile Stakes at Leopardstown last month, BERNARD SHAW makes plenty of appeal dropping into Listed company. The son of Into Mischief showed plenty of early speed on that occasion and a return to 7f holds no fear. The biggest threat may emerge from Comanche Brave, who justified strong support in the market when coasting home at Cork 23 days ago. Va Va Vroom and Beckman are unlikely to be far behind.
Having won a 1m maiden here on second start, BERNARD SHAW still looked a work-in-progress when third in Group 2 company 3 weeks ago. The application of blinkers will help in that regard and he's the one to beat at listed level, with Beckman and Comanche Brace fancied to offer most resistance.
Having been the trainer's second-string in a four-runner Group 2 event at Leopardstown, BERNARD SHAW gets the chance to shine here

16/5(+60%) | (8) Mags 16/5, Fair filly. Good second of 13 in handicap at this C&D (6/1) 14 days ago. Needs considering. Best run yet with C&D 2nd in h'cap latest but suspicion a return to maidens could be tough. |

5th (11) (13/2 -63%) Princess Aurea |
13/2(-63%) | (11) Princess Aurea 13/2, Fair filly. Didn't enjoy a clear run when good sixth of 13 in handicap at this C&D 14 days ago. Merits serious consideration. Showed ability in maidens before C&D 6th on h'cap bow; tougher task here and drawn widest. |

6th (14) (12/1 -167%) Tiffany Twisted |
12/1(-167%) | (14) Tiffany Twisted 12/1, Twice-raced filly. 7/1, sixth of 11 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 11 days ago, slowly away. Hard to make a case for. Last on debut but showed more on belated return; might come on for that. |

7th (12) (33/1 -106%) Profit Surge |
33/1(-106%) | (12) Profit Surge 33/1, Thrice-raced filly. 28/1, eighth of 11 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 11 days ago so needs to get back on track. Low-key debut before Gowran 6th; didn't build on that at Fairyhouse since. |

8th (10) (33/1 +0%) Overdue Revival |
33/1(+0%) | (10) Overdue Revival 33/1, Twice-raced filly. 66/1, good fourth of 11 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 11 days ago. Can give a good account. Stepped forward from low-key debut with maiden 4th last week; needs another step forward. |

9th (9) (50/1 -100%) Our Katie Girl |
50/1(-100%) | (9) Our Katie Girl 50/1, Twice-raced filly. 28/1, seventh of 10 in maiden at Navan (10.2f, good) 13 days ago. Significantly down in trip. 7th on debut wasn't devoid of promise but struggled 1m2f since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (10/1 +38%) Louiescall |
10/1(+38%) | (4) Louiescall 10/1, Fairly useful gelding. Remains a maiden after 8 Flat runs. 15/2, last of 12 in handicap at Listowel (7.1f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Needs to bounce back. Now 0-8 and didn't beat a rival at Listowel last week; AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (150/1 -329%) Silk Degrees |
150/1(-329%) | (5) Silk Degrees 150/1, Twice-raced gelding. Sixth of 7 in maiden at Down Royal (7.1f, soft, 125/1) 4 days ago. Shown very little in two runs at huge odds so far, including at Down Royal on Monday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (13) (150/1 -200%) Sliogan |
150/1(-200%) | (13) Sliogan 150/1, Once-raced filly. Twelfth of 13 in maiden (80/1) at this C&D on debut, missing break. Off 6 months with her fitness to prove. Showed very little when 80-1 for her debut over this C&D back in March. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Having shaped with promise on both previous visits to this track, PRINCESS AUREA can get her head in front here. A staying-on third over a mile in July, she subsequently ran well in two turf maidens, before finishing mid-division on handicap debut back on the Polytrack last time. Although drawn widest, the Andrew Slattery-trained filly can come stands side into the straight to deliver her challenge. An Mhi Abu has yet to tackle this surface but has shown enough on five starts to suggest he can win races. Ordinarily a maiden might have been too steep for the Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding but this looks a weak contest. Recent course and distance runner-up Mags has work to do at these weights but has proven her ability to act around here.
Plenty with chances but PRINCESS AUREA didn't enjoy the rub of the green when a good C&D sixth last time out so edges the vote. Gavin Cromwell's in-form An Mhi Abu could emerge as the main danger on his first go on polytrack, with Yaxchilan, Black Storm and Louiescall all in the mix too.
It was a promising debut from BLACK STORM last month and with a less exposed profile than the remainder, he may progress past these

1st (4) (11/8 +50%) Tough Talk |
11/8(+50%) | (4) Tough Talk 11/8, 13/8, won 6-runner minor event at Laytown (7f) 18 days ago, easily. Makes polytrack debut. Yard having good spell. Another bold show likely back in a handicap. Has run well in defeat on turf this year, runaway winner at Laytown, should be in the mix. |

2nd (2) (8/1 -167%) I Am Superman |
8/1(-167%) | (2) I Am Superman 8/1, Course winner. 22/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, eleventh of 17 in handicap at Leopardstown (7f, good) 20 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Vastly experienced, retains plenty of ability, went close at Gowran on penultimate start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (33/1 -106%) Hightimeyouwon |
33/1(-106%) | (3) Hightimeyouwon 33/1, C&D winner. Seventh of 10 in handicap at Laytown (7f, 9/2) 18 days ago in a rare run without headgear. Blinkers back on. Seven-time winner including two on AW, out of form since C&D win March, others preferred. |

4th (1) (8/1 -23%) Malex |
8/1(-23%) | (1) Malex 8/1, First run since leaving Jorge Delgado and career best following 19 months off when winning 4-runner minor event (4/1) at Tipperary (7.5f, good) 33 days ago, kept up to work. More needed from this mark. No trouble winning at Tipperary after a long absence, up 8lb but may remain competitive. |

5th (7) (18/1 -13%) Current Option |
18/1(-13%) | (7) Current Option 18/1, Latest win at Fairyhouse in June. 22/1, fourteenth of 16 in handicap at the Curragh (7f, good to soft) 6 days ago. Eight-time turf winner, has rarely competed at this track, placed twice from three visits. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (15/2 -25%) Daamberdiplomat |
15/2(-25%) | (5) Daamberdiplomat 15/2, Course winner. Hooded for 1st time, respectable eighth of 17 in handicap at Leopardstown (7f, good, 50/1) 20 days ago. AW record is a positive one. Useful AW form last winter, including a course 6f win, ran in a premier handicap last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (7/2 +0%) Pier Pressure |
7/2(+0%) | (8) Pier Pressure 7/2, C&D winner. Latest win at Gowran in July. 17/2, respectable sixth of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good) 43 days ago. Back down in trip. Stable in good form. Shortlist material as he's on his last winning mark. Fair run over 1m1f at Leopardstown last time, this trip is probably more suitable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (14/1 -155%) Bellaphina |
14/1(-155%) | (6) Bellaphina 14/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time, career best when winning 8-runner handicap at Fairyhouse (7f, good, 8/1) 11 days ago, driven out. Makes polytrack debut and 6 lb rise asks for more but she's clearly in good order. Added to last year's two wins with recent Fairyhouse success, raised 6lb, no AW experience. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
I AM SUPERMAN, who is one-from-one at this track, can maintain his unbeaten record. A winner here in December, the Michael O'Callaghan-trained eight-year-old followed up back on turf next time. Having run with credit in Group races and premier handicaps subsequently, the eight-year-old should find this easier. Malex was well supported when making a winning reappearance after a long absence at Tipperary last month. While there has to be a slight concern about him replicating that effort on his second run back, he would be a serious threat if doing so. Impressive Laytown winner Tough Talk is hard to assess on his first start on the Polytrack. Provided he acts on the surface, the Ger Lyons-trained four-year-old can play a leading role.
This has an open feel to it but the return to the AW should suit DAAMBERDIPLOMAT so he gets the tentative nod. Pier Pressure is back on his last winning mark so he enters the reckoning, with Tough Talk also dangerous if building on his Laytown win.
This looks open and it may be worth taking a chance with DAAMBERDIPLOMAT who ran in a premier handicap at Leopardstown last time
Ths is the racecard key.
