2/9(+50%) | (2) Wodhooh 2/9, Fair on the Flat and has taken well to hurdling, making it 2 from 2 in 6-runner juvenile hurdle at Punchestown (16.6f, good, 11/10) 32 days ago. Should be able to maintain her unbeaten record. Was impressive when running away with a Punchestown novice last time; should take beating. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

4/1(-33%) | (1) Cossack Chach 4/1, Fair maiden on the Flat. Impressive start in this sphere when landing short odds in 11-runner juvenile hurdle at Killarney (17f, good) on NH debut 113 days ago. Should progress and looks the obvious danger to Wodhooh. Won a Killarney maiden in July despite showing signs of inexperience; be closely involved. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The Gordon Elliott team may have unearthed a smart sort when purchasing WODHOOH from Sir Michael Stoute, and the three-year-old made quite the impression last time out at Punchestown when bounding clear of her rivals. She can land the hat-trick, with comfortable Killarney winner Cossack Chach looking best placed to chase her home. A half-sister to the stable's Albert Bartlett winner Martello Tower, Bravewhenineedtobe is one to note too.
WODHOOH has made a big impression on her first two outings in this sphere and is firmly expected to bring up the hat-trick for all that Cossack Chach is promising in his own right. Newcomer Bravewhenineedtobe looks the pick of the rest.
It seems best policy to concentrate on the proven hurdlers in the field, with ready preference for WODHOOH.

150/1(+0%) | (18) Erne Star 150/1, Twice-raced maiden under NH rules. Eleventh of 18 in novice hurdle at Limerick (16f, heavy, 100/1) on hurdles bow 20 days ago. Soundly beaten in a bumper and a maiden hurdle last month; makes little appeal. |

250/1(-25%) | (7) Jimli's Cave 250/1, Thrice-raced maiden under NH rules. Twelfth of 13 in claiming hurdle at Punchestown (19.4f, good to soft, 150/1) 172 days ago. The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
It is entirely feasible that this is within reach for one of the hurdling newcomers. Fast Felix, Royal Time and Whale Harbour all have something to recommend them on paper and are respected accordingly. However, DOWN MEMORY LANE romped home in decent looking point-to-point at Umma House last October before comfortably scoring in a Fairyhouse bumper when last seen in February. Derek O'connor was in the plate on both this occasions and the partnership appears to hold a live chance of completing the hat-trick. The selection's stablemate, Timmy Tuesday, also commands respect.
Gordon Elliott looks to hold a strong hand here and his TIMMY TUESDAY is worth another chance to confirm his hurdling debut promise having run out early at Punchestown when last seen on the track 11 months ago. Stablemate Down Memory Lane appeals on paper and could prove the chief threat ahead of fellow newcomers Earlofbrackenstown and Whale Harbour.
The Gordon Elliott-trained DOWN MEMORY LANE was very impressive in a Fairyhouse bumper in February and looks an exciting prospect

5/1(+44%) | (2) Magic Tricks 5/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2020. Respectable eighth of 17 in handicap hurdle (28/1) at Listowel (16f, soft) 50 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Others more appealing. Not disgraced in mid-division in a Listed contest at Listowel last time; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (2/1 +50%) The Model Kingdom |
2/1(+50%) | (4) The Model Kingdom 2/1, Back on the up when second in Listed Novices Hurdle at Punchestown (16.5f) in April. Fit from a recent run on the Flat and must enter calculatiosn on handicap hurdle debut. Satisfactory return to action in a 2m Flat maiden at Thurles; could go close. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (9/4 +36%) Foxy Girl |
9/4(+36%) | (5) Foxy Girl 9/4, Off the mark over timber at Limerick in December and far from disgraced when eighth of 21 in Dawn Run Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham (16.8f, soft, 13/2) when last seen 8 months ago. Hood on 1st time. Likely more to come on handicap debut. May be well handicapped and could take beating despite her lack of handicap experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (10/1 -100%) Party Central |
10/1(-100%) | (1) Party Central 10/1, Below form eleventh of 19 in handicap hurdle at Galway (16f, good to soft, 14/1) 100 days ago. Claims on best form. Tough task under top-weight but it is not the most competitive contest for the grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(+0%) | (6) Max Flamingo 33/1, 25/1, creditable sixth of 17 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (20f, good to soft) 31 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. Others look better treated. Ran okay in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Punchestown but hard to fancy over this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (22/1 -175%) Dark Note |
22/1(-175%) | (8) Dark Note 22/1, Winner of hurdle at Sligo in July and improved on that when close second of 18 in handicap at Listowel (16f, soft) in September. 4 lb higher now but ought to go well again. Beaten on the Flat at Dundalk latest; entitled to plenty of respect on his Listowel form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (50/1 -127%) Sit Down Lucy |
50/1(-127%) | (7) Sit Down Lucy 50/1, 16/5, sixth of 7 in handicap chase at Limerick (19f, heavy) 20 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. Work to do. Struggled to find her best form over hurdles or fences since the spring; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

12/1(+45%) | (9) Captains Nephew 12/1, Third of 10 in novice chase (14/1) at Limerick (19f, heavy) 20 days ago, faring best of those held up. Switches from chase to hurdles. Needs a couple of these to falter. Well beaten in a Listed at Listowel before a couple of okay runs in beginners chases. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (50/1 -317%) Bestaline |
50/1(-317%) | (13) Bestaline 50/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 15/8, third of 18 in novice hurdle at Limerick (16f, heavy) 20 days ago. May do better now sent handicapping although opening mark could have been kinder. Would appear harshly handicapped but unlikely that she has finished improving. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (10/1 -43%) Palace Rock |
10/1(-43%) | (3) Palace Rock 10/1, Found further improvement over hurdles when second in Leopardstown handicap (16f, soft) in December and arrives on back of creditable fourth on Flat. Shortlisted. Nice comeback when staying fourth in a 1m4f handicap at Dundalk last month; should contend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (40/1 -122%) Legacy Thor |
40/1(-122%) | (10) Legacy Thor 40/1, Unreliable sort. Below form fourteenth of 25 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (23.6f, good to soft, 80/1). Off 6 months. Down in trip. Others more persuasive. Close second in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Cork in April; best watched after 7 months off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Noel Meade's THE MODEL KINGDOM could take some stopping. The mare looked well up to winning in Listed company when beating everything bar dual subsequent scorer Shecouldbeanything at Punchestown in the spring, and will have been tuned up by a recent spin on the Flat. Foxy Girl, with a hood introduced, is another who looks potentially well treated, while Palace Rock could throw up some each-way value.
Preference is for PALACE ROCK, who ran a cracker when last seen over timber in December and ought to be spot on after a solid recent run on the Flat. The Model Kingdom and Foxy Girl head the list of dangers.
This might go to THE MODEL KINGDOM, unsuited by the Cheltenham hurly-burly in March but should be far better suited by this

1st (3) (4/7 +37%) Gerri Colombe |
4/7(+37%) | (3) Gerri Colombe 4/7, Unbeaten in bumpers and hurdles before making a seamless transition to chasing last term, his only defeat coming by a very small margin in Brown Advisory at Cheltenham Festival in March. Ended campaign with impressive victory at Aintree (25f) in April and surely has more to offer this term. Exciting young chaser; has to improve now tackling open Grade 1 company but that is likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (16/5 +33%) Envoi Allen |
16/5(+33%) | (2) Envoi Allen 16/5, High-class performer who got back on track last term, winning this contest and adding Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham in March. Looked in need of outing on Gowran return 6 weeks ago and bold show expected. Won this last year and added Ryanair since; goes well fresh and a big run is likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (8/1 -55%) Conflated |
8/1(-55%) | (1) Conflated 8/1, Notched his second Grade 1 success over fences when landing the Savills at Leopardstown last Christmas and performed to an even higher standard when third in the Gold Cup next time. Shaped as if need of run at Punchestown last month and better expected here. Top-rated but beaten nearly 20l by Minella Indo on return at Punchestown and questions now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (17/2 -89%) Minella Indo |
17/2(-89%) | (4) Minella Indo 17/2, Been rather in and out since landing 2021 Gold Cup at Cheltenham but got back to winning ways in Grade 3 at Punchestown (23.3f) last month and will be dangerous if in same form here. Showed enthusiasm to win a Grade 3 on return; can run a big race if improving from that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Despite just four runners lining up here, this is still a high-class renewal with GERRI COLOMBE expected to come out on top. Gordon Elliott's charge lost his unbeaten record when beaten just a short head in the Grade 1 Brown Advisory at Cheltenham before creating quite the impression in the Grade 1 Mildmay at Aintree and, should he return to the track in similar form, he will be tough to beat. Minella Indo is feared most after a pleasing seasonal reappearance at Punchestown. Last year's winner Envoi Allen is never easily ruled out, while Conflated is the highest rated of these.
GERRI COLOMBE made a huge impression in his first season over fences and, with the likelihood of more to come this term, he is taken to make a winning return here. Last year's winner Envoi Allen should be spot on after his Gowran reappearance and is feared most.
GERRI COLOMBE is stepping out of novice company for the first time but has tremendous potential and is taken to pass this test.

1st (3) (8/15 -6%) Ash Tree Meadow |
8/15(-6%) | (3) Ash Tree Meadow 8/15, Very smart chaser. Career best when winning 22-runner handicap chase at Galway (22.5f, good to soft, 13/2) 101 days ago, going with enthusiasm. Obvious claims again. Galway Plate winner should have no trouble dropping in trip; well-treated at the weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (11/8 +15%) Visionarian |
11/8(+15%) | (2) Visionarian 11/8, Smart chaser. Six wins from 19 NH runs. 2 wins from 4 runs this season. 15/8, won 2-runner minor event chase at Listowel (20f, good to soft) 55 days ago. Not dismissed. Beaten 11l by Ash Tree Meadow in the Galway Plate, giving him 3lb; the outsider of these. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ASH TREE MEADOW was last seen scoring readily in the Grade 3 Galway Plate over an extended 2m6f in August and he appeared to be a gelding on an upward trajectory. Gordon Elliott saddled last year's winner of this race (Fury Road) and he looks to have a good chance once again with the seven-year-old. The hat-trick seeking Visionarian is no forlorn hope despite having a bit to find on official ratings.
ASH TREE MEADOW put up a bold front-running display to land the Galway Plate 3 months ago and should be able to follow up in a race where he sets the standard. Feronily remains with potential in this sphere and should ensure that it's not all plain sailing for the selection, and Visionarian is no forlorn hope.
ASH TREE MEADOW has plenty in his favour, so the confident vote goes to Gordon Elliott's Galway Plate winner.

CAVE COURT's progress has shown no sign of relenting lately, winning each of his last four starts, and Noel Kelly's gelding is fancied to defy his latest hike in the ratings to complete the five-timer today. At the foot of the handicap, Gordon Elliott's Reddys Island looks set to make her presence felt having finished a good second at Downpatrick last month. Others to note include Menindee, Harvey's Quay and Soloman Lane.
CAVE COURT is thriving at present and, open to further progress as a chaser, is taken to complete the 5-timer. Harvey's Quay is getting the hang of things as a chaser now and is feared most ahead of Reddys Island and Clonmeen.
The one to be on could be HARVEY'S QUAY(nap) who stepped up to this trip with aplomb at Listowel and can follow up

CLEATUS POOLAW changed hands for 120,000 euros in April shortly after winning a point-to-point. The son of Clovis Du Berlais goes for the in-form Gordon Elliott stable and he could make a big impression on his debut under Rules. The main threat might be Big Dee, who shaped with plenty of promise at Listowel on his first outing and should go well. Any market support for Bonavena would also be of interest.
CLEATUS POOLAW readily laned his latest outing in points and is fully expected to follow suit starting out under Rules for a powerful outfit. Big Dee ran well at Listowel on debut and looks the main danger, while Bonavena would come into the reckoning if the market spoke in his favour.
Gordon Elliott has won the last eight runnings of this bumper and point winner CLEATUS POOLAW is likely to be good enough
Ths is the racecard key.
