12:25 Down Royal Conditions Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Although PRAIRIE ANGEL must defy a 6lb penalty for her winning hurdles bow at Ballinrobe in August, she has been progressive on the Flat since, with victories at Bellewstown and Roscommon. The daughter of Territories is taken to remain unbeaten in this discipline at the main expense of Lakota Blue. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding scored on his sole start in a French bumper and market support would be interesting now tackling timber. The selection's stablemate Janes Harbour completes the shortlist.

PRAIRIE ANGEL has been successful on her last 2 Flat starts and surely has plenty more to offer back over hurdles, so she shades the vote. Janes Harbour, Lakota Blue and Slurricane are all interesting rivals, though.

Joseph O'Brien has a strong hand with PRAIRIE ANGEL (nap) preferred to Janes Harbour, though Lakota Blue is also respected

13:00 Down Royal Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Runner-up in the Champion Bumper before finishing fifth in another Grade 1 at Punchestown, ROMEO COOLIO looks just the type that could excel over hurdles this season and he can strike on his jumping debut for leading connections. A well-bred sort by Linda's Lad, his stablemate Lygon Lad may be able to give him the most to think about on debut, while Cutthewire is can build upon a promising third at Fairyhouse last month. Harry's Legacy and Viceregent have been plying their trade on the Flat of late and cannot be ruled out either.

A race which revolves around Champion bumper runner-up ROMEO COOLIO who will surely be a cut above this opposition if taking to his new discipline. Presenting Max and fairly useful Flat performer Harry's Legacy might be the pair to fight it out for the forecast spot.

This should be straightforward for the Champion Bumper runner-up ROMEO COOLIO, who was an expensive purchase after a maiden point win

13:35 Down Royal Handicap Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This looks wide-open and only a tentative vote can go to LIEBER NICC. Henry de Bromhead's gelding won his maiden at Wexford in July before chasing home a now 132-rated rival at Killarney last month, and a revised figure of 119 might prove lenient now pitched into a handicap. Kala Conti claimed Grade 2 honours last Christmas before being far from disgraced in the Spring Juvenile Hurdle. Returning from an opening mark of 130, she looks a player. Others to note include Ninth Titan, Enniskerry and Banana Three.

Lots with chances but the vote goes to DAME RAPIDE who had a bit up her sleeve when going in at Fairyhouse last time. Wajaaha is weighted to go close and next on the list with Walhaan, Lieber Nicc and Dark Note all worthy of consideration too.

Very open but a chance is taken on the handicap debutant LIEBER NICC off what looks a workable mark

14:10 Down Royal Handicap Chase 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SHAJAK has made a pleasing start to life over the larger obstacles, taking the silver medal on both of his chase starts this term, and this represents a good opportunity for him to go one better. The JP McManus-owned runner looks to be the first string for the powerful Gordon Elliott yard, and an opening handicap mark of 119 doesn't appear out of his reach. Stablemate Valsorpresa is likely to appreciate this extra yardage and he could be on an exploitable mark with Carl Millar's 7lb claim to aid his cause, while Hascoeur Clermont heads the remainder.

SHAJAK stepped up a bit on his chasing debut form despite being unsuited by the drop back in trip when second at Gowran, which suggests he has more to offer still now going up in distance. Hascoeur Clermont is a potential threat if able to back up his latest run, with Charlie Luciano another to consider.

Beaten by a stablemate in two beginners' events, SHAJAK has a realistic chance of stepping into the limelight on his handicap debut

Beat Envoi Allen here last year, Gold Cup runner-up, runs well fresh, hard to oppose.

Beat the useful French Dynamite at Gowran, hard to to make a case for him at this level.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GERRI COLOMBE made a winning return in this race last season and went on to fill second place in the Savills and Gold Cup prior to his success in the Bowl at Aintree. The eight-year-old will obviously take plenty of stopping if running to the same high level. Envoi Allen was only a neck behind him 12 months ago and could give him plenty to think about once again. Hewick's best form would also give him a chance and his recent effort at Punchestown should help him here.

A good starting point for last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up GERRI COLOMBE, who won 2 Grade 1s last year, including this race on his return. Envoi Allen was beaten only a neck by the selection in this 12 months ago and rates the main threat again.

Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up GERRI COLOMBE can repeat his 2023 defeat of Envoi Allen in this race and should have more to spare

(1) Found A Fifty 11/10, Quick to make into a very smart chaser last term, successful twice prior to an excellent second in the Arkle at Cheltenham. Signed off with a hard fought success in Grade 1 Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree in April and serious claims on return/back up in trip.
Top-class novice last year, two Grade 1 wins, trip not an issue, big weight concession.

Galway Plate winner, has a big chance against Found A Fifty at these weights, race-fit.

Creditable third of 17 in Kerry National at Listowel (23.8f, soft, 28/1) 38 days ago, that trip possibly at the very limit of his stamina. May be sharper with that run under his belt but he may have to settle for a minor role again at this level.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Galway Plate hero Pinkerton did nothing but improve last term and, fit from a satisfactory effort when third over 1m6f on the level at Navan recently, another bold bid looks imminent. That said, FOUND A FIFTY edges preference. He lost little in defeat when finishing second behind brilliant Arkle winner Gaelic Warrior at Cheltenham, before justifying favouritism in a Grade 1 over 2m at Aintree. Stepping back up in trip, he should be tough to stop. Lucid Dreams is also noteworthy.

FOUND A FIFTY signed off a highly productive novice season in this sphere with success in Grade 1 company at Aintree in April and, despite conceding weight all round, he's fancied to make a bold bid with his yard boasting a fine record in this race. Galway Plate winner Pinkerton rates the chief threat ahead of Lucid Dreams.

The Galway Plate winner PINKERTON has a theoretical edge at the weights. Race-fitness may be enough to see him beat Found a Fifty

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Gordon Elliott-trained duo Classical Creek and KOKTAIL BRUT both won their sole point-to-point starts and are highly noteworthy debutants in the Gigginstown House Stud colours. The former is a half-brother to a bumper winner and can make an impact, but his stablemate set connections back 250,000 euros and is a shade more intriguing at this stage. Mileview and Dance Monkey are a couple of other appealing Rules newcomers to consider.

Gordon Elliott introduces two exciting recruits from points and it's likely to develop between the pair, with CLASSICAL CREEK fancied to edge out stablemate Koktail Brut in what should be a fascinating duel. Hunsaker also makes some appeal on paper.

Gordon Elliott's points' winners are likely the ones to concentrate on, CLASSICAL CREEK getting the nod over Koktail Brut
