Fifth of 11 in novice hurdle (14/1) at Punchestown (20f, heavy) on hurdles bow 76 days ago. Should progress. Didn't get home on hurdles debut, this looks a weaker maiden though. |

2nd (8) (5/1 -11%) Milanaway |
5/1(-11%) | (8) Milanaway 5/1, Fair hurdler. Respectable fourth of 14 in novice hurdle at Fairyhouse (20f, heavy, 20/1) 81 days ago. Likely to give another good account. Heavy ground against her of late, some sort of claims on earlier form on better ground. |

9th (3) (40/1 -21%) Buttoned Up |
40/1(-21%) | (3) Buttoned Up 40/1, Doyen mare. Sister to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/high-class chaser Andy Dufresne and fair chaser Ellis Boyd Redding,. Dam 2m hurdle winner. Well-bred but points' form doesn't suggest she'll make an immediate impact on Rules debut. |

150/1(-50%) | (2) Thebeautifulgame 150/1, Fairly useful Flat winner. Twice-raced maiden over hurdles. 200/1, fifteenth of 19 in novice hurdle at Naas (16f, soft) 10 days ago. Up in trip. Dual Flat winner but ground against her so far hurdling; best watched. |

11/2(+21%) | (12) Spice Diva 11/2, Modest hurdler. Remains a maiden after 8 hurdle runs. 40/1, pulled up in listed hurdle at Doncaster (24.4f, heavy) 43 days ago. Each-way claims. Seemingly exposed handicapper, hard to see her making the breakthrough here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (5/1 +9%) Cooltubrid Eva |
5/1(+9%) | (5) Cooltubrid Eva 5/1, Twice-raced maiden. Went backwards from a promising hurdling debut when sixth of 11 in maiden at Punchestown (20f, heavy, 18/1) 76 days ago. May well bounce back. No show at Punchestown but strong claims on Limerick debut second on heavy. |

11th (15) (25/1 -25%) Wishes And Dreams |
25/1(-25%) | (15) Wishes And Dreams 25/1, Fair maiden on the Flat, making GB/IRE jumps debut. Visored for 1st time, fourth of 14 in handicap at Dundalk (12f, 12/1) 30 days ago. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (200/1 -100%) Churchtown Girl |
200/1(-100%) | (4) Churchtown Girl 200/1, £4,000 4-y-o, Arcadio mare. Dam, unraced, closely related to useful hurdler/chaser (stays 3m) Caius Marcius. Wears tongue strap. Long absent pointer, can only be watched on belated Rules debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MILANAWAY posted an encouraging fourth behind subsequent Grade 1 runner-up Spindleberry at Fairyhouse in January and a reproduction of that performance may suffice in these calmer waters. Cooltubrid Eva was somewhat underwhelming when a well-beaten sixth at Punchestown last time out, but the five-year-old's close-up second at Limerick in December gives her a chance. Spice Diva will find this easier than the Listed event she contested at Doncaster last month and is also noted.
The step back up in trip should suit PALLAS ATHENE and she gets the nod in an open-looking maiden. Cooltubrid Eva and Milanaway head the list of dangers.
Down in class COOLTUBRID EVA gets the vote to confirm Limerick form with Pallas Athene, who seems to have lost her way

12/1(+25%) | (10) Portnacoo 12/1, Seventh of 10 in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (20.6f, heavy, 11/1) 50 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Handicap form so far disappointing and still to convince over this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (28/1 -100%) Malton Groove |
28/1(-100%) | (1) Malton Groove 28/1, Sixth of 10 in handicap chase at Navan (23.4f, heavy, 14/1) 22 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. Tongue strap on 1st time. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Plenty to find on form. Ex Gordon Elliott; not progressing, headgear added but remains opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (150/1 -500%) Kalsman |
150/1(-500%) | (11) Kalsman 150/1, 250/1, below form thirteenth of 20 in novice hurdle at this course (16.9f, soft) 28 days ago. Hood back on. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Poor Flat maiden and only glimpse of form hurdling came on better ground last summer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (5) (33/1 -106%) Spatman De Cerisy |
33/1(-106%) | (5) Spatman De Cerisy 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 80/1, fifteenth of 22 in novice hurdle at Cork (16f, heavy) 99 days ago. Back up in trip. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Potential improver. Opening mark looks on the high side but unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (25/1 +24%) Joe's Turn |
25/1(+24%) | (13) Joe's Turn 25/1, Pulled up in handicap hurdle at Limerick (22.3f, heavy, 16/1) 35 days ago, behind when pulled up after 3 out. Stamina test too much at Limerick latest so drop back to 2m4f should suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (12) (14/1 +13%) Glenabo Bridge |
14/1(+13%) | (12) Glenabo Bridge 14/1, C&D winner. Latest win in hurdle at Fairyhouse in November. 28/1, bit below form eleventh of 24 in handicap hurdle at Naas (18.8f, soft) 10 days ago, barely adequate test. Blinkers back on. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (3) (5/1 -82%) Gamigin |
5/1(-82%) | (3) Gamigin 5/1, Course winner. Latest win in hurdle here in December. 10/3, creditable third of 18 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (16f, soft) 42 days ago. Back up in trip. Shortlist material. Progressive over 2m this term but not sure if this return to 2m4f will suit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
GAMIGIN is versatile regarding the trip and, with ground conditions not expected to cause any issues, there are solid reasons to expect another big run form Noel Kelly's six-year-old. Jacenry finished sixth behind the selection over the extended two miles here at the Christmas fixture but, having returned to win over this course and distance last month, he rates a strong contender with his stamina now proven. Perfect Pupil and Portnacoo are a couple of others with solid each-way claims.
There's likely more to come from last month's course scorer JACENRY so a 7 lb rise may not prevent him following up. Noel Kelly's Gamagin is another who has tasted success here this winter and is second choice ahead of Stockdale and Spatman de Cerisy, a potential improver in handicaps for Paul Nolan.
Not too many appeal here and perhaps an opportunity for the still unexposed JACENRY to follow up on last month's C&D success

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

13/2(-117%) | (7) Pipers Boreen 13/2, Winner in hurdle at Punchestown in February. Creditable second of 12 in handicap hurdle (7/1) at Leopardstown (20f, heavy) 41 days ago. Shortlist material. A 9l runner-up at Leopardstown over 2m4f last time; 1lb rise but longer trip will suit. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (11/1 -57%) Bestaline |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) (12/1 -60%) El Capitaine |
12/1(-60%) | (1) El Capitaine 12/1, 10/1, first run since leaving Michael Lynch when last of 9 in handicap hurdle at Navan (20f, heavy) 43 days ago, finding little. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Well beaten on handicap debut for this yard last month but should have improved from that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Dgalwaygallivantor has picked up minor money twice since breaking through at Cork and should run his race once more. PIPERS BOREEN has been much improved since going handicapping and teaming up with Conor McNamara, though, and Shane Nolan's mare could still have more to offer judging by her Leopardstown second. Annaghbeg is interesting now he steps out of maiden/novice company for the first time, with similar remarks applying to Squire Ohara.
PIPERS BOREEN is going the right way over hurdles and can register her second success. Dgalwaygallivantor and San Martino should also go well.
The proven stamina of PIPERS BOREEN can prove decisive and she is just 1lb higher than when a running on second at Leopardstown.

125/1(-150%) | (3) Tony's Pet 125/1, First run since leaving J. J. Lambe when 100/1, unseated rider in handicap hurdle at Naas (18.8f, soft) 10 days ago. Lightly-raced maiden looks high in the weights for what he has achieved. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Tankardstown Diva beat Ballycairn (sixth) when denied by the smallest of margins over 2m4f here last month and the extra distance could unlock further improvement, so she ought to go close. However, preference is for A GREAT BUZZ, who is only 1lb higher than when an encouraging third at Cork. Robert Tyner's five-year-old makes only her third handicap start and she could progress to shed her maiden tag. Doonbeg Don and Mahler Appeal are others to watch out for.
A GREAT BUZZ shaped well back from a break at Cork last month and there's a race in her from a mark in the 90s on that evidence. There should be more to come from Henry de Bromhead's Doonbeg Don in handicaps so he's second choice ahead of Mahler Appeal and Tankardstown Diva.
The well-bred A GREAT BUZZ looks to be getting the hang of things now handicapping and she can improve on her third place at Cork.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
NOW IS THE HOUR found a decent amount of improvement earlier in the year, getting off the mark over hurdles at Fairyhouse before following up in a Grade 2 at Haydock. The seven-year-old has since made his chasing debut, finishing second over an inadequate 2m at Cork, and stepping back up in trip is likely to see him go one better. Duffle Coat enters calculations based on his runner-up displays at Punchestown and Gowran, while others capable of being in the mix include Extrapolation and Dreal Deal.
NOW IS THE HOUR is the pick on hurdling form and shaped encouragingly when second at Cork on chasing debut. With the return to this trip in his favour, he's preferred to Duffle Coat, with Dreal Dreal a potential player if he can return to form back over fences.
Grade 2-winning novice hurdle winner NOW IS THE HOUR (nap) should be able to go one better than on chasing debut at Cork.

10/1(+50%) | (7) Soldier Of Honour 10/1, 28/1, respectable 16¼ lengths fourth of 8 to He Fitz In in handicap chase at Limerick (24.6f, heavy) 21 days ago. Others more persuasive. Modest fourth behind He Fitz In at Leopardstown latest so plenty more needed here. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The value may lie with TANGENTAL, who went well for a long way over further at Navan before being slightly hampered and carried right three out. The eight-year-old may have weakened into fourth on that occasion, but he was well backed and this could be the day to catch him over a more suitable distance. Twice a winner over the smaller obstacles this season, Don't Talk returns to fences off a 15lb lower mark than his timber figure so must enter calculations, along with recent Limerick scorer He Fitz In.
TANGENTAL offered more over fences at Navan when last seen 3 months ago and could be the way to go in a thin handicap. Hunt Museum is interesting now handicapping for his top owner, while Limerick-winner He Fitz In can go well again.
With a recent hurdles run under his belt it could pay to take a chance on DON'T TALK off a 15lb lower chase mark

Potentially well treated but hard to rely on. Dual chase winner returned to form at Limerick last time and be involved after a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (9/2 -13%) Atacanter |
9/2(-13%) | (5) Atacanter 9/2, 16/1, creditable second of 8 in handicap chase at Limerick (24.6f, heavy) 21 days ago, clear of rest. Well worth a chance to go one better. Maiden was just denied over 3m at Limerick last time; this longer trip fine and go well. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
In open event, marginal preference is for ATACANTER, who was a close second off a 2lb lower mark over an extended 3m at Limerick a few weeks ago. The Abbey ran well when fourth in Listed company at Leopardstown on his most recent outing and that form suggests that he may be the main threat to the selection, although Routine Excellence and Marronstown could also go well.
ATACANTER came clear of the rest when second at Limerick 3 weeks ago and, with a performance of similar merit, he might well be able to go one better. Routine Excellence and The Abbey could pose the main threats.
A C&D winner who ran a cracker on his return at Leopardstown, THE ABBEY can improve enough from that run to score.
Ths is the racecard key.
