12:25 Curragh Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained DOUBLE VISION, a son of Wooton Bassett out of Irish 1000 Guineas third So Wonderful, is a prime candidate to get off the mark at the first time of asking. However, there several well-bred alternatives to also consider. Not least Mousse, who ticks all the right boxes and paper and is an attractive option with the fillies allowance a big bonus. Josesph O'Brien won this race last year and fields another strong hand, with Cinammon Coco and Kibris spearheading his six entrants. Propose and Game Point complete the shortlist.

IRON FIST sets a reasonable standard for a maiden on the back of his recent C&D second and gets the vote. Game Point and Red King have shown promise and should also have a part to play. Aidan O'Brien pair Propose and Double Vision head the many newcomers who need checking out in the betting.

This is a potential minefield but perhaps GAME POINT has most to offer following a debut fourth behind a group of Ballydoyle colts

12:55 Curragh Stakes 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Big Gossey finished a close-up third in Listed company at Naas last time and he sets a lofty standard with a rating of 105. However, it may pay to side with WEXFORD NATIVE, who was third in a Grade 3 event at Leopardstown in May last year and he now makes his return to action. The son of Teofilo is a previous course winner and might be able to regain the winning thread. Midream can be in the mix for the minor honours.

6-time course winner BIG GOSSEY is a real credit to connections, running another fine race when third at listed level at Naas 3 weeks ago. The step back up to 7f will hold no fears and he looks to hold sound claims. The returning Wexford Native may well emerge as the chief danger, ahead of Nightcliff.

Preference is for last year's winner BIG GOSSEY. He's been running well in stakes company, he is ground versatile and he loves it here.

13:25 Curragh Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Merisi Diamond occupied the runner-up berth over 6f at this venue on his most recent start and should remain competitive off only a 3lb higher rating. However, he could come out second best to PORT LOUIS, who encountered traffic problems when getting up for third at Fairyhouse when last seen in May and competes off a 1b higher mark. Noel Meade's three-year-old could be the one to beat if he can back that performance up. Selective Power completes the shortlist.

DARK VIPER's maiden status is a slight cause for concern, yet he's knocked firmly on the door on several occasions this term so, with his rider taking off a handy 7 lb, he's given the nod to deservedly open his account. Merisi Diamond arrives in fine form and is feared along with Eddie G. 3-y-o Mythical Rock is another worth bearing in mind along with Lust who has tumbled down the weights this year.

A chance is taken on last year's winner ZEPHRON. He won off this mark over C&D in April, and he shaped nicely enough last time out.

13:55 Curragh Handicap 5f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Jon Riggens showed a likeable attitude when scoring narrowly over 6f here last month and he must be of interest once more off 5lb higher, even though the step back to 5f may not be ideal for him these days. With that in mind, MICKEY THE STEEL gets the tentative vote. He rediscovered his form when running out a cosy winner over 5f at Navan latest, and this C&D scorer could shrug off a 6lb rise to complete a quick-fire double. Apache Outlaw won over this track and trip on his penultimate start and is also noteworthy.

MICKEY THE STEEL was value for extra at Navan last time and is taken to land this race for the second year running. Apache Outlaw backed up last month's C&D success with a good third at Naas and is second choice ahead of Jon Riggens, another with a recent course win to his name.

Fourth in this race last season, TWO STARS may exploit this late opportunity to build on two early-season seconds

14:25 Curragh Handicap 8f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GLENEAGLE BAY looked the winner for a long way when collared in the shadow of the post over 7f at Leopardstown on his handicap debut last time out and, upped 3lb on his debut for a new stable, he can atone for that near-miss here. English raider Empirestateofmind was on target over a mile at York last month and he looks the main danger off 5lb higher. No More Porter and Akecheta are a couple of others to consider.

GLENEAGLE BAY made a very encouraging start to his handicap career when second in a big field at Leopardstown in September and can build on that and strike for rookie trainer Stephen Thorne. Akecheta, the mount of Billy Lee, heads the many dangers along with Orandi and British raider Empirestateofmind.

If handling soft ground GLENEAGLE BAY could be hard to beat since he is one of the least exposed runners here

15:00 Curragh Group 3 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Lily Hart appears to be the best of Aidan O'Brien's pair based on her Listed success at Longchamp and is a danger to all at these weights if staying the trip, but HARBOUR WIND could be the one after his Newmarket second to Al Nayyir. The winner was different class that day, but the selection came home clear of the rest and a repeat might be all he needs. Dawn Rising is a tentative suggestion for third spot.

HARBOUR WIND holds a clear edge on form so is fancied to resume winning ways at the chief expense of Cesarewith fifth Dawn Rising. Lily Hart appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

Proven stakes performer HARBOUR WIND has run well the last twice and this looks a good chance for him to gain his first Group 3 win.

15:35 Curragh Listed 12f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HAMISH put in an excellent effort last time out at Longchamp when a half-length second to the classy Goliath in the Group 2 Prix du Conseil over a furlong shorter. Dropped in grade here, he is hard to oppose with conditions in his favour. Rubies Are Red got off the mark over C&D last month and she could be a big danger in receipt of 15lb from the selection, with Layfayette and Lips Freedom others to consider.

HAMISH signalled he is ready to go in again when a good recent second in a Longchamp Group 2 so looks the way to go lowered in grade here. Course-specialist Layfayette appeals as the one to chase home William Haggas' smart veteran, with Falcon Eight, Chally Chute and Kortez Bay all worthy of respect too in the battle for minor honours.

HAMISH can return to winning ways down in class. He has run well here before, soft ground suits and the form of his last run is solid.

16:10 Curragh Maiden 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

There are plenty in with claims, but MOLTO AMICHI has shown ability in a couple of maiden races so far, including when runner-up at Leopardstown last month. Breeding suggests this extra distance will bring further improvement and he is marginally preferred to Tribal Star. The latter ran well in all three outings in the UK for Charlie Appleby and can feature for his new trainer, while Royal Entry has a shout returning to this lower level and the Ballydoyle filly Osprey should be noted on her reappearance.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and Jessica Harrington's JETARA, a smart hurdles winner, is fancied to go in at the first time of asking in this sphere. Molto Amichi is feared most on the back of his good recent Leopardstown second, with Royal Entry also well in the mix now lowered in grade. Osprey, Liltia and Tribal Star are others to consider.

Entitled to come on from her latest run, BLOOM VEGA is given another chance to deliver on the promise of her debut second over 1m2f here

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
