Slight preference is for Joseph O'Brien's filly GREEN SENSE, with the stable having landed this contest last year. A daughter of freshman sire Starman, she shouldn't lack for pace on debut and that may be enough to see off Extravagant, who is a half-brother to Arc de Triomphe second Cloth Of Stars. Frescobaldi could be a sharper type from the Aidan O'Brien yard, being by No Nay Never, and he must also enter calculations.

The market should be the best guide, a token selection being GREEN SENSE, whose yard won this last year

Having scoped dirty after finishing last in the Listed Bosra Sham at Newmarket in November last season, it could be worth chancing COLD HEARTED in these calmer waters. The daughter of Blue Point had previously finished a close-up second at Naas and a reproduction of that performance may prove sufficient. Spodo Komodo offered plenty to work with on his opening fourth at Dundalk 22 days ago and improvement is forecast, especially dropping in trip, while No Return and newcomer No Alibi are also noted.

The 80-rated Cold Hearted sets a solid standard but a chance is taken on Paddy Twomey's NO ALIBI to be a class above on debut

Stop The Nation is the only contender who brings form to the table and will be looking to put the experience from his debut second at Dundalk to good use, but the vote goes to newcomer AEGINA. Her dam is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Twilight Spinner and it would be no surprise to see her make an instant impression. Charles Darwin and Neolithic both warrant market checks on their racecourse bows.

BETSEN found only a progressive sort too good when runner-up over course and distance a fortnight ago. This is less competitive and the unexposed son of Invincible Spirit looks to have plenty more to offer off his current mark. A 6f winner at Kempton, Gutsy Girl made a promising debut for Joseph O'Brien's yard when fourth in a Listed sprint at Cork. She makes more appeal than last week's Bellewstown winner Emerald Harmony, who is upped in class.

There is plenty of depth to this race and several should make headlines this year. WHIRL is suggested as the most appealing option at this stage as she lays here Guineas and Oaks credentials on the line. A Group 3 winner here on her final start as a juvenile, the daughter of Wootton Bassett certainly seems to be heading in the right direction. One Look, Azada and Bright Thunder are others to bear in mind.

NEO SMART was far from disgraced when fourth over a mile at Leopardstown last month and was kindly dropped 1lb. The four-year-old's sole victory came over this distance and she could return to winning ways. Touch The Sound made a pleasing handicap debut when a respectable fourth at Dundalk in December and is an interesting contender back on turf. Imperial Dream is the pick of the remainder.

In the absence of stable companion and last year's Arc third Los Angeles, the unbeaten JAN BRUEGHEL has been presented with a golden opportunity on his return to action. The son of Galileo progressed with each start of his three-year-old campaign which culminated with defeat of another high-class stable companion in the St Leger. Crystal Black won five on the bounce, including at Royal Ascot and in Group 3 company at Leopardstown, and commands plenty of respect, while Tower Of London, who is better over further, and Crypto Force head the remainder.

A strong Ballydoyle challenge but at the trip CRYSTAL BLACK (nap) could prove a bit of value

GAZELLE D'OR won a competitive nursery at Navan at the end of last season. There looks to be plenty more to come from the daughter of Equiano as a three-year-old and she can defy a 3lb rise on her return to action. Sakakawea ran well for a long way at Naas last month and she's entitled to be sharper. She can feature in the finish, while La La Lucrative will appreciate this return to sprinting having won over 6f last year.
