16:15 Cork Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

It might be worth taking a chance on ANSWER ME NAY in this wide-open affair. After a tardy start, she warmed to her task on debut at Navan and while well-beaten, finished a never-nearer fifth. Out of Group 3 winner Dingle View, she should come on plenty for that debut effort, and with Wayne Hassett again claiming a valuable 7lb, a bold bid looks likely. Spicy Water is given second preference, dropping back in trip to 6f. She attempted to make all over seven at Limerick and was only headed inside the final furlong there, eventually finishing fourth, a place ahead of subsequent winner Lady Craftsman. Chandigah ran a huge race to finish second at the Curragh on Derby weekend and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a place better now. A case can be made for many others, with West Of Wichita likely to prove popular after filling the runner-up spot on her last two starts. A Lilac Rolla is the most interesting of the newcomers set to take part, with the Paddy Twomey-trained bay closely-related to plenty of winners.

CHANDIGAH was well positioned but still left his debut effort well behind when runner-up in a big-field Curragh maiden (6f) 4 weeks ago and a repeat of that form should see him tough to beat here. West of Wichita has knocked on the door herself in recent weeks and is feared along with Miss Black Jack. A Lilac Rolla is also one of the newcomers to note.

LTO Selection:

16:50 Cork Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TORIVEGA might be a bit flattered by his mark of 98, but should still be good enough to win this ordinary contest. Out of Group 2 winner Viztoria, he finished a fine sixth of 15 in the Lacken Stakes at Naas in May. Since tried in Listed and Group 3 contests at Deauville, he failed to trouble the judge, but back in maiden company now he is the one to beat. A 125,000-euro yearling purchase, Never Shout Never is given second preference. A half-brother to dual Listed winner Servalan, he was well-fancied on debut at Tipperary but ultimately disappointed. With that experience under his belt and upped in trip now to 6f, an improved performance can be expected. Darren Bunyan has strong claims in the opener with Chandigah and he again saddles a leading contender here in the shape of Wooden Head. He ran a fine race to finish fourth on debut over the course and distance in May and should come on plenty for that effort. Blue News, Double Jabbed and Greek Flower are others capable of making an impact.

TORIVEGA sets the bar pretty high for a maiden and should prove hard to beat. The fact Never Shout Never went off at 15/8 on his debut suggests he's thought capable of better than he showed on that occasion and he can leave that form behind and fill the forecast spot. Wooden Head showed promise on his C&D debut and may prove best of the rest.

LTO Selection:

17:22 Cork Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LAUNCH is the highest rated runner in the line-up and should appreciate this drop in class. Highly tried since finishing second on debut over the course and distance in May, she has already picked up some valuable black type, finishing third in Group 3 company on her second start. Asean was behind the selection on debut but has been knocking on the door since. She went down by just a short head on her most recent start at Naas and another bold bid can be expected from her here, with Paddy Hartnett again claiming a valuable 7lb. Carnegie Hall is out of a daughter of Special Duty, winner of the Newmarket and French 1000 Guineas in 2010. The No Nay Never colt has two solid efforts to his name and is a leading contender off a mark of 76. Mary The Priest is the only previous winner in the field and also warrants respect.

CARNEGIE HALL looks interesting now making a quick switch to handicaps for the Aidan O'Brien team and is preferred to Asean, who stepped up on her previous efforts when narrowly denied in maiden company at Naas last time. Veracidad has qualified for her mark over 7f/1m but there's plenty of speed in her pedigree and she's another who could take a step forward now handicapping.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A fiercely-competitive affair, with SO MAJESTIC the suggestion. The Kate McGivern-trained three-year-old is one of four chasing a hat-trick, with her recent wins coming at Down Royal and Naas respectively. She comfortably saw off 22 rivals at the County Kildare venue and while rated much higher now, she might still be ahead of the handicapper on a mark of 77. Successful over the course and distance last month, Running Cool is given second preference. He beat Curraheen Princess into third on that occasion and should be able to confirm the form now. Like the aforementioned trio, Dun Na Sead has also won her last two and is sure to have plenty of supporters, with Oisin McSweeney again taking a valuable 5lb off. A strong case can be made for many others, with Rockingham winner Harry's Hill, the Ken Condon trained-Gabriella's Spirit (first time cheekpieces) and the likeable Little Queenie, a few for the shortlist.

Another strong renewal of this good sprint handicap with 4 runners on hat-tricks and RUNNING COOL fancied to come out on top again after his cosy C&D success 6 weeks ago. Dun Na Sead is feared along with Mymomentintime.

The ground may help to bring the best out of SILMANIYA who has a fighting chance of reversing Curragh form with Harry's Hill

LTO Selection:

18:32 Cork Stakes 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Paddy Twomey looks to have found a nice opportunity for VAIN GLORIA to follow up on her recent debut success. A 75,000-euro yearling purchase, she made the perfect start at Killarney, comfortably beating 13 rivals, with Letiza, who reopposes now and is better off at the weights, back in third. Pink Sorrel made the breakthrough on her fourth start at the Curragh and she is given second preference after that convincing success. Kayhana is the highest rated of those with a mark and is likely to have plenty of supporters. She was fifth of 11 in a Listed contest at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend but disappointed on her return at Killarney in May. Michigan State is the most interesting of the remainder. Long absent after winning on debut at Wolverhampton in November of 2021, he made his debut for Fozzy Stack on his return at Bellewstown earlier this month, finishing a solid third behind Party Central. Back in trip now to a mile, he should be able to make his presence felt.

VAIN GLORIA looked a useful prospect when scoring comfortably on her recent Killarney debut and can make it 2-2, perhaps at the main expense of fellow 3-y-o filly Pink Sorrel who got off the mark in maiden company at the Curragh on Irish Derby weekend. Dermot Weld's Kayhana may prove best of the rest.

LTO Selection:

19:07 Cork Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ANNO MANNA won with plenty in hand at Killarney and while many dangers are lurking here, she should be able to follow up. A half-sister to 98-rated stable companion Anno Syra, she went up 9lb for her recent success. However, that rise is now offset by Hugh Horgan's valuable 7lb claim. Lilac Lady, Lucky Question and Givemefive all finished ahead of the selection when second, third and fourth behind Slaney Tide at Naas earlier this month. Lucky Question and Givemefive both met with trouble in running and while there is likely to be little between the trio again here, the Johnny Murtagh-trained latter is taken to reverse the form. The progressive O Merisi is sure to have plenty of supporters, with this step up in trip likely to play to his strengths. Handicap debutant Lady Kai is an interesting contender, in the colours of Mick Kinane's wife Catherine. A half-sister to classy five-time winner Mikhail Glinka, she is surely better than what she has shown to date.

SO MESSI improved again when just failing at Killarney 10 days ago and looks ready to strike. Lilac Lady and Givemefive head the dangers.

LTO Selection:

19:40 Cork Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

It might be worth taking a chance on BORN INVINCIBLE in this wide-open affair. The seven-year-old chestnut has a course win to her name and while she failed to make an impact on her most recent start at Killarney, she was a solid eighth of 23 on her penultimate outing at the Curragh. Now down to a mark of 44, the three-time winner should be able to make her presence felt here, with any ease in conditions likely to help her cause. My Girl Sioux is another towards the bottom of the handicap and coming from the in-form yard of Andy Slattery, she is given second preference. Fourth on her most recent starts at Bellewstown and Navan respectively, it'll come as no surprise if she manages to go a few places better now. A solid fifth of 23 on debut for Denis Hogan, Hot Whispers should give a good account of herself, while others for the shortlist are Californiagoldrush, Carlton Banks, Jazzy Dancer and last year's winner Samrogue.

JAZZY DANCER doesn't find winning easy but he's more reliable than most at this level and his third-place finish in a big-field contest at Naas a month ago is just about the most persuasvie piece of recent form. The money for Carlton Banks last time suggests he's considered to be well handicapped and he's a threat, along with Gobi Star, who got no luck at Fairyhouse.

Just a hint of promise in two handicaps and needs a fair bit more even down 5lb.

20:15 Cork Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SHOEBOX KING could follow up on his Navan victory. That run was in a higher grade and the 6lb rise in the weights he received from the handicapper is more than offset by Conor Stone-Walsh's 7lb claim. There is one of these sprint handicaps in Catherine Chroi and she has been dropped 2lb to a very handy mark of 49, so a big run wouldn't be surprising. Racing Royalty kept on for third on handicap debut over 7f at Limerick last month which gives him a chance of making the breakthrough. James Ryan's 7lb claim certainly brings Teddy Boy into the equation after the veteran wasn't beaten far into fifth at Bellewstown while American In Paris was only caught close home in Naas, but cut in the ground wouldn't appeal to her.

CATHERINE CHROI has been shaping up well for a while now and is taken to gain deserved success. Shoebox King and Improving are a couple of potential threats.

Running well enough on ground a bit livelier than ideal lately, CATHERINE CHROI could get back on the scoresheet on this softer surface
