LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

KARIA DES BLAISES may be able to confirm form with stablemate Paggane. There was only half a length between the pair at Fairyhouse just over three weeks ago when they filled the places behind another Willie Mullins-trained mare, Zenta. This slight drop in trip may suit the selection better than her rival, who won over 3m1f over timber. The Henry de Bromhead-trained Look To The West is an interesting one on her chase debut. She was last seen finishing fifth in the Grade 1 mares novice hurdle at Fairyhouse last Easter and is a former point-to-point winner.

Henry de Bromhead's string are typically kicking into gear ahead of the spring festivals and his LOOK TO THE WEST gets the nod to make a winning chasing debut having found graded company too much following her winning hurdling debut last season. Willie Mullins looks to have a couple of leading chances in opposition however, with Paggane taken to reverse the placings with Karia des Blaises from their meeting at Fairyhouse earlier this month.

Willie Mullins holds the key with Paggane and KARIA DES BLAISES who met at Fairyhouse; the latter may confirm form if she settles

One good run over hurdles last season, nothing approaching that standard of form since.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

MACIVER comes here in fine form and can complete his hat-trick. The Shirocco gelding was a wide margin winner over fences at Tramore on New Year's Day and followed up over hurdles at Limerick late last month. He is now on the same mark in both codes. Spellacy's Cross ran well back over fences at Fairyhouse last time. Stepping up in trip looked to suit then and he could be the danger despite a 4lb rise. Callmedusty fell on his chase debut and it's interesting that he's tried in handicap company now after a good run over timber last time.

MACIVER has hit top form this year and is fancied to complete the hat-trick back over fences. Spellacy's Cross made an encouraging start to his chase career when third at Fairyhouse 3 weeks ago and rates the main threat ahead of Callmedusty, who arrives on the back of an excellent second over hurdles and is bred to make a chaser.

Several of these showed good form over hurdles last time, notably MACIVER who had previously bolted up over fences. He gets the vote

Fancied to be much closer to that rival with that under his belt.

(4) Cabra Road 250/1, Twice-raced mare who again finished well held when fourteenth of 18 in novice hurdle at this course (16.1f, soft, 200/1) 14 days ago. Hard to fancy even allowing for the drop in grade.
Towards the back in outings at Tramore and Clonmel, safe to leave out of calculations.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

ROBINSTOWN takes a drop in trip here but may be able to land his third claiming hurdle. The Stowaway gelding led his rivals a merry dance again in the two-mile-five contest at Limerick late last month having won the same race the previous year. This looks like another nice opportunity. Cafe Con Leche is top rated with a mark of 121 and should go well despite conceding weight to his rivals. Lightkeeper reverts to the smaller obstacles and is capable of playing a big part in this company.

LIGHTKEEPER hasn't kicked on from a promising start over fences in recent months, yet a return to hurdling/drop in grade can see Gordon Elliott's 7-y-o in a better light and he shades the vote to come out on top with the blinkers retained. Ellaat didn't shape at all badly following a layoff when third behind re-opposing Robinstown at Limerick 4 weeks ago, and that pair head up the dangers.

Having been absent for almost a year ELLAAT possibly needed the run at Limerick. He may reverse form with Robinstown over this trip

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

C&D winner KP'S LADYOFKNOCK may be able to strike again here. She hasn't had the best of luck in her two runs since winning here in December. The Policy Maker mare was carried out subsequently at Fairyhouse and ran a solid race in Down Royal despite being pestered by a loose horse. She is 5lb better off now with Sights Unseen, who chased home Prince Quattro at Down Royal. That mare finished off well then but this ground is an unknown. Philip Rothwell is in flying form and Miss Lia is another that has to be on the shortlist.

GO GILL GO has some solid form over C&D, including when third earlier this month, and she makes appeal from a career-low mark. Sights Unseen showed plenty of promise when second on handicap debut and remains open to improvement while Tingarran Express would be interesting if ready to roll.

This can go the way of SIGHTS UNSEEN who was only narrowly denied on her debut for Gavin Cromwell when 8l clear of Kp's Ladyofknock

ST CUTHBERT'S CAVE looks to have found a nice opportunity to get off the mark. The Gigginstown gelding had some disappointing efforts last season but his two runs this term have been solid. He ran well when third to stablemate Honesty Policy at Navan 18 days ago and this looks an easier task now. Onlymammycanloveme goes hurdling again after a good run in a Fairyhouse bumper. The point-to-point winner looks progressive and is an obvious danger. The Night Agent showed improvement, when a big price, in a Naas bumper last month and is one to note on his jumping debut.

HITAK didn't enjoy the rub of the green when sixth at Naas last time out so is fancied to take a step forward and get off the mark in this open maiden. Wexford fourth Lightup Lightup looks to have more to offer and heads the list of dangers, although Bop Wont Stop and St Cuthbert's Cave both have the form to play a part too.

This is less demanding than the Naas and Navan races contested by ST CUTHBERTS'S CAVE lately and he should be able to take advantage

NEXT STOP PARIS may be able to gain compensation after his fall at Fairyhouse just over three weeks ago. Gavin Cromwell's charge was a well-backed favourite then and was making up ground nicely when crashing out three from home. In-form pair Philip Rothwell and Tiernan Power Roche team up with Mercury Mission and he looks an obvious danger after a solid run to finish third at Naas last time. Moudan won in testing conditions at Limerick late last month and also has to come into calculations off a 7lb higher mark.

NEXT STOP PARIS looked to be moving with purpose when falling 3 out on his handicap debut at Fairyhouse on his most recent outing, so he's well worth another chance. Mercury Mission and Blue In The West head the dangers.

This could be a good opportunity for NEXT STOP PARIS to gain compensation having been firmly in the mix prior to a late fall last time

MUSKERRY ROCK looks on a nice mark here back over timber. The Mouse Morris-trained gelding has been placed a couple of times over fences this season and ran off a mark of 104 on his last outing at Limerick over Christmas. A hurdles rating of 86 looks attractive now. Mullanour showed improvement when going down by half a length at Limerick last month and off just a 1lb higher mark he's expected to run well. Imperial Tune was also only raised a pound after a solid run to finish third at Punchestown and is another who has to come into calculations.

MULLANOUR showed improved form when second at Limerick last month and may be able to go one better off only 1 lb higher. Muskerry Rock can be made to look well treated off this hurdle mark judged on his recent chase exploits and is second choice ahead of Liam Casey's Imperial Tune. Last month's Naas third Dalmatic completes the shortlist.

It was an encouraging handicap debut from MUSKERRY ROCK over fences last time and he looks like a big player from a reduced hurdle mark

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
