1st (2) (3/1 -9%) D J Zanetti |
3/1(-9%) | (2) D J Zanetti 3/1, Once-raced maiden. Second of 12 in maiden at Sandown (7f, good, 66/1) on debut. Off 16 months. First run for yard after leaving Ian Williams. Interesting to see the market vibes. Promise in one run in August 2022; sold 110,000gns after; absent since; unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (1/5 +20%) Guy Fawkes |
1/5(+20%) | (1) Guy Fawkes 1/5, 3/1 and hooded, won 8-runner minor event at Southwell (7.1f) on debut 27 days ago, bit in hand. Open to improvement and looks well capable of following up. Well backed when overcoming greenness to win cosily at Southwell last month; more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (66/1 +0%) Eadha |
66/1(+0%) | (3) Eadha 66/1, Once-raced maiden. 66/1, seventh of 11 in maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f) on debut 17 days ago. Needs to leave that form behind. Dropped away on recent Wolverhampton debut having shown speed; not easily recommended. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
This is all about GUY FAWKES as he bids to follow up his success over 7f at Southwell on his racecourse debut last month. Jane Chapple-Hyam's charge ran on well on that occasion and any amount of improvement can be expected. The biggest danger is D J Zanetti, who looked promising on his first racecourse start over 7f at Sandown, but that was in August 2022. Eadha looks booked for third.
GUY FAWKES made an impressive debut at Southwell last month and is firmly expected to go in again for all that D J Zanetti could trouble him if retaining ability, albeit he has a long absence to overcome.
The long-absent D J Zanetti still has potential but GUY FAWKES looked promising at Southwell and can make it 2-2.

1st (7) (5/1 -67%) Via Blanca |
5/1(-67%) | (7) Via Blanca 5/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 17/2, creditable second of 8 in nursery at Lingfield (5f, AW) 16 days ago, running on. Has to be taken seriously from same mark. Runner-up in AW nurseries the last twice; should remain competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (22/1 +12%) Unavailable |
22/1(+12%) | (8) Unavailable 22/1, Lightly-raced maiden who ran creditably when eighth of 12 in nursery at Southwell (6.1f, 25/1) 14 days ago. More needed from current mark. Unplaced in her 5 starts but latest Southwell run not devoid of promise; check betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (12/1 -60%) Musical Diva |
12/1(-60%) | (11) Musical Diva 12/1, Not seen to best effect when ninth of 12 in nursery at Newcastle (5f, 25/1) 34 days ago, keeping on when short of room late on. Makes polytrack debut. Not taken lightly. Unplaced in eight starts; improvement required if she's to make an impact. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (9/1 -80%) Sea Of Angels |
9/1(-80%) | (2) Sea Of Angels 9/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/1, creditable fourth of 8 in nursery at Lingfield (5f, AW) 16 days ago. Hood on for 1st time. Merits consideration. Kept on for 4th over 5f at Lingfield last time; hood can help but 6f may suit her better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (18/1 -80%) Krysdanjord |
18/1(-80%) | (1) Krysdanjord 18/1, 25/1 and eyeshields on for 1st time, ninth of 11 in nursery at Lingfield (6f, AW) 8 days ago. Blinkers now tried. Handicapper on top so far; due to be 3lb lower from the weekend; blinkers now added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (2/1 +56%) Bitcoin Profit |
2/1(+56%) | (5) Bitcoin Profit 2/1, Lightly-raced maiden who ran up to best when third of 11 in nursery at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 16 days ago. Makes polytrack debut in first-time cheekpieces and needs considering. Good third on nursery debut 16 days ago; cheekpieces now tried; drop to 5f in his favour. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (8/1 +11%) Gogo Yubari |
8/1(+11%) | (3) Gogo Yubari 8/1, Blinkered for 1st time, respectable fourth of 10 in nursery (10/1) at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 30 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Amy Murphy. Not dismissed. Has been fluffing the start of late but has the ability to feature off this mark; new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (33/1 -106%) Lady Showcasing |
33/1(-106%) | (10) Lady Showcasing 33/1, 14/1, sixth of 10 in nursery at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 30 days ago. Others make more appeal. Poor form since moving into nurseries and opposable despite her much-reduced mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (9/1 +44%) Talking Rubbish |
9/1(+44%) | (6) Talking Rubbish 9/1, Modest maiden who seemed beaten on merit when fifth of 8 in nursery at Lingfield (5f, AW) 16 days ago. Behind two of these at Lingfield last time; well drawn to attack but others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (9/2 +72%) Tiselle Tuendchen |
9/2(+72%) | (12) Tiselle Tuendchen 9/2, Well held in minor events/maiden but at least gets a crack at handicaps now. Modest form in three runs in the summer; this more suitable but she has enough to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
A tentative vote goes to GOGO YUBARI, who had excuses when she finished fourth over 5f at Wolverhampton last time. Dylan Cunha's runner has been dropped 4lb in the ratings for that three-and-a-half-length defeat and is beginning to look very well treated. Via Blanca has finished second on each of her last two starts and she looks sure to run her race, while Bitcoin Profit should also feature.
VIA BLANCA has found only one too good on both her starts in nurseries and is the percentage call to go one better. Bitcoin Profit and Sea of Angels head the opposition.
After a solid third at Wolverhampton 16 days ago BITCOIN PROFIT is marginally preferred to Via Blanca.

1st (5) (9/2 -50%) Pandora's Gift |
9/2(-50%) | (5) Pandora's Gift 9/2, Promising type. 20/1, second of 9 in minor event at this C&D on debut 10 days ago. Should have learned plenty from that experience and is likely to be on the premises. Second over C&D on debut ten days ago; more to come but suspicion it will be needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/2 +31%) Majorelle Blue |
11/2(+31%) | (4) Majorelle Blue 11/2, Twice-raced maiden. 200/1, ninth of 22 in minor event at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) 75 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. Her two runs in the autumn weren't without hope but others have achieved more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (10/3 +5%) Star Mind |
10/3(+5%) | (1) Star Mind 10/3, First run since leaving Kevin Ryan when 13/2 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, won 8-runner maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 33 days ago, driven out. May prove vulnerable under a penalty. Impressed over 7f on last month's stable debut; penalised but could have more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (9/4 -38%) Twirler |
9/4(-38%) | (7) Twirler 9/4, Promising individual. 17/2, third of 10 in minor event at Newcastle (6f) on debut 12 days ago. Type to do better and may well have enough to open her account. Promising 3rd at Newcastle 12 days ago when green under pressure; should be more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (5/1 +38%) Say You'll Never |
5/1(+38%) | (6) Say You'll Never 5/1, Once-raced maiden. 3¼ lengths third of 8 to Star Mind in maiden (8/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) on debut 33 days ago, running on. Likely to improve and is worthy of respect. No match for Star Mind at Wolverhampton (7f) on debut; 7lb turnaround unlikely enough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (66/1 -100%) Impelling |
66/1(-100%) | (3) Impelling 66/1, Twice-raced maiden. 18/1, sixth of 8 in minor event at Kempton (6f) 31 days ago. Modest form in two 6f events last month; needs to raise her game to trouble the principals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (14/1 +13%) Cherryblossom Time |
14/1(+13%) | (2) Cherryblossom Time 14/1, Twice-raced maiden. 11/1, eighth of 12 in maiden at Lingfield (6f, AW) 26 days ago, not knocked about. Run to just a modest level in her two starts to date; handicaps more suitable after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (100/1 -525%) They |
100/1(-525%) | (10) They 100/1, Once-raced maiden. Sixth of 10 in maiden (10/1) at this course (7f) on debut 35 days ago. Outpaced in the straight over 7f here on debut; drop to 6f not the obvious move. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (200/1 -400%) Ms Barbaro |
200/1(-400%) | (9) Ms Barbaro 200/1, Foaled March 26. Buratino filly. Half-sister to temperamental 5f winner Jaas Yard. Dam 2-y-o 7f/7.4f winner. Only minor appeal on paper and she'd be a surprise winner on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (150/1 -200%) Amarilla Girl |
150/1(-200%) | (8) Amarilla Girl 150/1, Foaled February 11. £3,000 yearling, Camacho filly. Dam maiden half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f/7f winner Firey Speech out of useful winner up to 1m (2-y-o 6f winner) Firey Red. Just minor appeal on pedigree and she looks best watched on debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
TWIRLER made a very pleasing start to her career when running on well over 6f at Newcastle on debut and plenty of improvement can be expected from Charlie Fellowes' filly. The two-year-old was beaten under a length into third on that occasion and she's entitled to take a step forward. Star Mind shed her maiden tag at the third time of asking over 7f at Wolverhampton and she appears likely to offer another bold bid, while Pandora's Gift rates best of the rest.
TWIRLER impressed with the way she travelled when third at Newcastle 12 days ago and that's the best piece of form on show, so she takes narrow preference over Pandora's Gift, who also shaped well (over C&D) first time out. Star Mind isn't a forlorn hope.
Star Mind was impressive on her stable debut but TWIRLER shaped nicely 12 days ago and may be able to take a good step forward.

1st (6) (4/5 +0%) Qazaq |
4/5(+0%) | (6) Qazaq 4/5, Foaled February 24. 300,000 gns yearling, Kingman colt. Dam 7f winner (including at 2 yrs), won Nell Gwyn Stakes and finished third in 1000 Guineas, from a very good family. Interesting newcomer (entered for Irish 2000 Guineas). 300,000gns yearling; first foal from 7f Group 3 winner (RPR 110); has a high-profile entry. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (25/1 -56%) Pagliacci |
25/1(-56%) | (5) Pagliacci 25/1, Gleneagles gelding. Brother to 2-y-o 1¼m winner Top Brass. Dam, 1¼m-1¾m (Lillie Langtry Stakes) winner, half-sister to useful performer up to 1¼m Drumbeat. 80/1, seventh of 11 in novice at Southwell (7.1f) on debut 9 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Slowly away and green throughout when never dangerous seventh at Southwell (7f) last week.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/10 +0%) Annafel |
11/10(+0%) | (1) Annafel 11/10, Twice-raced maiden. 6/1, much better effort when close second of 11 in novice at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 58 days ago. Clear form pick. Solid level of form on both starts, narrowly beaten at Wolverhampton (8.5f) latest.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (66/1 -230%) Namrud |
66/1(-230%) | (4) Namrud 66/1, $19,000 yearling, €110,000 2-y-o, Bernardini gelding. Closley related to minor winner in US by Malibu Moon. Dam runner-up at 1m in US from a good US family. 22/1, green when eighth of 11 in novice event at Southwell (8.1f) on debut 14 days ago. Too green to do himself justice on debut at Southwell (1m novice; 22-1) a fortnight ago.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (80/1 -300%) Givitawhirl |
80/1(-300%) | (2) Givitawhirl 80/1, Twice-raced maiden. Seventh of 10 in novice (50/1) at Kempton (8f) 15 days ago. Hooded for 1st time. Modest form; headgear (hood) fitted for third start; perhaps the type to require more time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
ANNAFEL took a nice step forward from his debut effort to fill the runner-up berth over an extended mile at Wolverhampton in October and he is likely to improve even further for that effort. The son of Blame drops back in distance, which shouldn't pose him any problems and he can go one better. Newcomer Qazaq could prove to be the main danger after he changed hands for 300,000gns last year, while Pagliacci is noted too.
ANNAFEL stepped up on his debut when only just edged out at Wolverhampton and can put that experience to good use up against well-connected newcomer Qazaq.
Roger Varian's QAZAQ is the first foal from the 2019 Nell Gwyn Stakes winner Qabala. She can make a winning start to her career.

15/2(+0%) | (6) Maverick Style 15/2, 15/2, respectable fourth of 12 in nursery at this course (8f) 10 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. Needs headgear to draw out some improvement. Showed ability but also hung badly left over 1m here last time; now gets blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (10/3 +17%) Notre Dame |
10/3(+17%) | (5) Notre Dame 10/3, Lightly-raced maiden. Very good third of 9 in nursery at this course (6f, 28/1) 42 days ago, nearest finish. Makes plenty of appeal. Fair third over 6f here last time; still low mileage and returning to 7f in her favour. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/1 -17%) Come On You Spurs |
7/1(-17%) | (4) Come On You Spurs 7/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 11 in minor event (50/1) at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 28 days ago, needing stiffer test. Type to do better switched to handicaps/upped in trip. No impact in three 6f runs at Wolverhampton; much better can be expected this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (11/8 +21%) Desert Raider |
11/8(+21%) | (2) Desert Raider 11/8, Lightly-raced winner. 3/1 and visored for 1st time, career best when winning 9-runner nursery at this C&D 82 days ago, just holding on. Worth a chance to follow up. Made all to beat two subsequent winners over C&D in September; up 3lb; gelded since; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (33/1 +0%) Majolica |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Majolica 33/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Eighth of 11 in minor event (250/1) at Kempton (6f) 64 days ago. Visored for 1st time. Worth a market check.eckec Poor form in five starts; the addition of a visor needs to spark a transformation. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (9/2 +25%) Terratino Fire |
9/2(+25%) | (3) Terratino Fire 9/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Visored for 1st time, creditable sixth of 12 in nursery at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 20/1) 29 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Didn't run badly in two 1m nurseries last month; needs more for this drop back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (80/1 -142%) Flocon |
80/1(-142%) | (9) Flocon 80/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 66/1, last of 7 in maiden at Catterick (6f, soft) 89 days ago. First run for yard after leaving David O'Meara. Makes handicap debut. Poor form in three 6f runs for David O'Meara; plenty to prove on stable/nursery debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (20/1 -122%) Sapphira |
20/1(-122%) | (1) Sapphira 20/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Ninth of 10 in minor event (100/1) at Kempton (7f) 50 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Bred to do better. Bred to be useful and yard's record in nurseries this year stands up to close scrutiny. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (100/1 -300%) Rosadilly |
100/1(-300%) | (10) Rosadilly 100/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Ninth of 10 in maiden at this C&D (150/1) 35 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Hasn't got home in three starts, most recently over C&D last month; not easily recommended. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
DESERT RAIDER showed a liking for a first-time visor when justifying favouritism over C&D on his latest outing, and he has been raised just 3lb for that display. The son of Advertise has also been gelded since, so that could eke out even more. Notre Dame produced the best effort of her career so far to hit the frame over 6f here last month and should go well, while Terratino Fire is another to note.
DESERT RAIDER improved to open his account over C&D last time and, while there wasn't much to spare, his pedigree gives him the scope for further progress, so he takes preference over Notre Dame, who finished to good effect over 6f here in November. Come On You Spurs has the potential to improve for the longer trip, so she's a notable nursery debutante.
The form of DESERT RAIDER's C&D win in September has been boosted and he looks the safest option. Come On You Spurs is feared most.

6/1(+33%) | (4) Miami Thunder 6/1, Winner at Newcastle in June. Tenth of 11 in handicap (9/2) at Newcastle (8f) 76 days ago, ridden too aggressively. First run for yard after leaving Darryll Holland. Worth a market check. Chance on his peak AW form this summer; drops in trip on stable debut; contender. |

2nd (8) (13/2 +28%) Love De Vega |
13/2(+28%) | (8) Love De Vega 13/2, 6/1, respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 12 days ago, left poorly placed. Could make his presence felt if the race is run to suit. Behind Sterling Knight on penultimate start; excuse latest; fair mark but others stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (5/1 -67%) Riot |
5/1(-67%) | (5) Riot 5/1, 3-time C&D winner. 4 wins from 16 runs this year. 5/1, won 13-runner handicap at this C&D 14 days ago. Strong claims in the hat-trick bid. Chasing a C&D hat-trick and did well to score two weeks ago; this looks tougher though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (9/1 +10%) Revolutionise |
9/1(+10%) | (7) Revolutionise 9/1, C&D winner. Eighth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 17/2) 12 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Remains on a handy mark but needs them to go quick up front. Not found his best so far this winter but on a good mark and type to bounce back soon. |

5th (1) (4/1 +0%) Sterling Knight |
4/1(+0%) | (1) Sterling Knight 4/1, Latest win at Wolverhampton in November. Respectable third of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW, 6/1) 15 days ago, left poorly placed. Not taken lightly. Good efforts the last twice and he's a solid contender in a modest race for the grade. |

6th (6) (15/8 +37%) Prince Of Zenda |
15/8(+37%) | (6) Prince Of Zenda 15/8, Winner at Chester in September. Eleventh of 14 in handicap (17/2) at Newmarket (8f, heavy) 47 days ago. Needs to bounce back. Well beaten in a Newmarket handicap last month; career best required to take this. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (22/1 -100%) Darwell Lion |
22/1(-100%) | (3) Darwell Lion 22/1, 16/1, first run since leaving John Butler when eighth of 10 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 12 days ago. Others preferred. Four AW wins to his name; needs to better recent stable debut that's quite likely. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
RIOT has been victorious over C&D the last twice, with the latest of those efforts coming in a class 4 event. The six-year-old was raised 2lb for that victory and it would be no surprise to see him bring the hat-trick up. Top-weight Sterling Knight performed well for third in this grade at Lingfield earlier in the month and could get into contention, while Prince of Zenda struggled on heavy ground at Newmarket last month but could go well back on the all-weather.
RIOT looks back in top form and is still well treated on past efforts, so he's worth a chance to complete the hat-trick at the possible expense of Sterling Knight, who was better than the result at Lingfield last time. A return to form from Prince of Zenda would make him of serious interest given there's the chance of an easy lead.
Sterling Knight should go well once again but a chance is taken on a change of scenery rekindling MIAMI THUNDER's enthusiasm.

10/3(-21%) | (9) Havechatma 10/3, Career best when winning 12-runner handicap at Southwell (6.1f, 11/1) 14 days ago, easily. Can make presence felt strongly again. Up 12lb for two wins but if able to repeat her latest effort she'd be a big player.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Recent C&D winner DICKO THE LEGEND was unfortunate to have finished second over 5f at Wolverhampton last time, having been denied a clear run for some distance approaching the furlong pole. Just 1lb higher and back over 6f, Roger Ingram will be hopeful of a clearer passage for his gelding and he can make amends. Havechatma looks set to mount another stern challenge having been on target at Lingfield and Southwell in recent weeks, while Fiscal Policy heads the remainder.
HAVECHATMA has reacted well to blinkers lately and, having had plenty in hand at Southwell a fortnight ago, she's capable of landing the hat-trick. In-form Dicko The Legend is a threat for all that he's not the most straightforward and there's a case to be made for Fiscal Policy.
One who arrives in good form is DICKO THE LEGEND (nap), who may be capable of further progress now back up in trip.

Six of SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD's 13 career wins have come at this venue, and he might add another to his tally. He's now 4lb below his last winning mark, with recent efforts suggesting he is coming back to the boil. Thank The Lord cruised to success over track and trip a fortnight ago, so a subsequent 7lb rise might not be enough to prevent him from mounting another bold bid. Legende d'Art is also noted.
THANK THE LORD confirmed himself on the upgrade when a decisive winner over C&D 2 weeks ago and looks one to keep on the right side of at this level. Legende d'Art only just failed here last time and is next best ahead of Sir Rodneyredblood.
Preference is for DAYTONA LADY, who came back to form when a shade unlucky not to finish closer at Wolverhampton last time.

PHILOS was said to have benefitted from the application of a first-time visor (retained) when winning over 1m4f at Kempton last month. The son of Teofilo was going away at the finish on that occasion, so he might have more to offer now upped in trip. Grand Duchess Olga continues to run well and she is unlikely to be far away, along with Royal Athena, who reverts to the Flat having posted a couple of decent performances, including a win, over hurdles recently.
PHILOS got back on the up when resuming winning ways at Kempton and remains of interest given how quickly he settled matters that day. Perthshire is worth another chance to build on his belated reappearance returned to a suitable trip so may emerge as the biggest threat ahead of Grand Duchess Olga.
Preference is for PHILOS, who is taken to defy a 5lb rise for his authoritative Kempton win.
Ths is the racecard key.
