The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
An eyecatcher when keeping on well to snatch fourth from off the pace at Kempton earlier in the month, CY TWOMBLY is likely to improve plenty for that effort and he can get off the mark from a good draw. Runner-up at Kempton last month, Fifth Column must enter calculations, along with War Hawk, a stablemate of the selection who ran a race full of promise when third on debut at Newcastle.
FIFTH COLUMN is going the right way and can get off the mark in the opener. Cy Twombly and War Hawk head the list of dangers.
The Crisford pair, Cy Twombly and War Hawk, both shaped nicely on debut, but FIFTH COLUMN sets a fair standard.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Now that EPIC EXPRESS has regained the winning thread with a taking performance here last time out, the six-year-old can follow up on the rise in distance for a seventh career success. Narrowly denied at Windsor, Abolish is capable of being in the shake-up, along with Airshow and C&D winner Nammos, who has been a revelation since rejoining the Jane Chapple-Hyam team.
Preference is for NAMMOS. who has got back on track since rejoining Jane Chapple-Hyam and remains feasibly treated. Epic Express and Abolish rate the principal dangers.
An open contest but EPIC EXPRESS appeared to have benefited from wind surgery here (6f) last time and is taken to follow up.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A promising runner-up on her introduction over 5f at Doncaster back in May, FIORELLA PRINCESS shaped on that occasion as though she would suited by going up in trip. Amy Murphy's filly gets the vote ahead of Leicester third Baylando and On Key, who has strong claims on his debut effort at Redcar. Lady Modena and One For Harvey are capable of being in the shake-up as well.
FIORELLA PRINCESS sets the standard with her second at Doncaster 5 months ago and there's more to come, so she's preferred to Lady Modena, who could also step forward from her debut. Syzygy is a notable newcomer on paper.
The standard set by those who have run is not high. ONE FOR HARVEY, Fiorella Princess and Baylando head that group.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
LITTLE SHE overcame a tardy start to finish a promising fourth at Kempton on debut. The winner is now rated 85, so this looks an easier assignment, and Marcus Tregoning's filly appeals as one to keep on the right side of. My Mate Kev ran well for a long way before fading in the closing stages at Yarmouth and is another likely improver. Al Baarez is a newcomer to note.
LITTLE SHE should have learnt plenty from her encouraging Kempton debut and can get off the mark. Oasis Sunrise looks the likeliest danger on form, whilst Swizzle may be the pick of the newcomers.
Oasis Sunrise (also declared at Bath) and the promising LITTLE SHE have fair form and the rest have shown comparatively little.

PRADA ON PAROLE has placed off her current mark on a couple of occasions, including when third over C&D last time. She swept by the weakening She's A Dark Horse and Amy Murphy's filly can confirm her superiority in the process of making another bold bid. Fly Liberty Fly steps up in distance representing last year's winning trainer, while Limegreentangerine is one to note now handicapping.
PRADA ON PAROLE posted a good third here last month and looks the safest option in a race where plenty have questions to answer. Lady Lovebug and Fly Liberty Fly can also make their presence felt.
Prada On Parole is solid, while Ballarat Bertie has attracted attention but also note SECRET MISSION and Limegreentangerine

4th (4) (5/1 -25%) Bint Havana Gold |
5/1(-25%) | (4) Bint Havana Gold 5/1, 9/4, shaped as if still in form when second of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 6 days ago, no match for winner. Has slipped to an appealing mark and got to be respected. Well treated based on some spring form but an each-way player on more recent efforts.. |

5th (8) (9/1 +18%) Katie G |
9/1(+18%) | (8) Katie G 9/1, Latest win at Southwell in August. 11/1, tenth of 14 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 17 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Type to bounce back quickly. Each-way player from this mark but does have two below-par efforts to put behind her.. |

7/2(-17%) | (6) Gultari 7/2, Winner at Yarmouth in August. Respectable third of 14 in handicap at Kempton (7f, 15/2) 17 days ago. Has to be taken seriously. Best two AW efforts have been on her last two starts; each-way player on that evidence.. |

7th (9) (16/1 -60%) Zachary |
16/1(-60%) | (9) Zachary 16/1, C&D winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. 12/1, good fifth of 11 in handicap at this course (7f) 14 days ago. Not discounted. C&D winner; not beaten far here (7f) latest but others have stronger claims.. |

8th (7) (11/1 +8%) Sassy Redhead |
11/1(+8%) | (7) Sassy Redhead 11/1, C&D winner. Bit below form sixth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f, 4/1). Off 7 months. Likely to strip fitter for it. C&D winner; couldn't get a run latest and should be very competitive from 1lb lower.. |

8th (3) (11/2 +61%) Em Jay Kay |
11/2(+61%) | (3) Em Jay Kay 11/2, Latest win at Nottingham in July. Eighth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 20/1) 17 days ago. Given a chance by the handicapper but not firing at present. Handicapper in control since he won in July; now 1lb higher so may be more competitive.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
GULTARI found 7f just beyond her when placed at Kempton on her latest start. However, she won under Harry Burns over this trip at Yarmouth in August and the daughter of Oasis Dream gets another chance competing off only a 1lb higher mark. Sassy Redhead has won four times on the Polytrack and returns to this surface with a shout, while Bint Havana Gold looks likely to run her usual solid race.
BINT HAVANA GOLD has been shaping like she's ready to capitalise on a reduced mark and this race could set up perfectly for her, so she gets the nod. Gultari and Sir Rodneyredblood are both players but there's a chance they'll take each other on for the lead.
Having been a shade unlucky last time, SASSY REDHEAD may be able to get her nose in front again now back over this C&D.

5/1(+17%) | (6) Marcus 5/1, Bit below form second of 5 in handicap (6/1) at Brighton (5.3f, heavy) 14 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Not ruled out. Placed over C&D; a similar effort would see him pick up prize money but below par lately.. |

20/1(-122%) | (8) Battle Point 20/1, One win from 28 Flat runs. Second of 4 in handicap (22/1) at Lingfield (5f, AW) 57 days ago. Could be involved. Back to form at Lingfield latest; player if backing that up but inconsistency a concern.. |

10/3(+44%) | (1) Tilsworth Ony Ta 10/3, C&D winner. Latest win at Lingfield in July. 28/1, creditable fourth of 10 in handicap at this course (6f) 5 days ago. C&D winner; a few pounds below his best since his last win, so has to raise his game.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
STREET LIFE appeared to have plenty in hand when scoring over this distance at Wolverhampton just under two weeks ago and 4lb rise for that success may not be enough to stop him here. Battle Point was only narrowly denied on his most recent outing at Lingfield and is likely to be in the mix once again. War Zone and Tilsworth Ony Ta are the pick of the remainder.
A weak race in which it might pay to side with last-time-out winner STREET LIFE, who remains well treated on past form. War Zone and Battle Point at least arrive in form, so there's a chance they'll be on the premises.
C&D winner SUANNI has to shrug off a couple of lesser efforts but is on the sort of mark from which he can strike again.

1st (2) (4/1 -146%) Lokana |
4/1(-146%) | (2) Lokana 4/1, 9/4, good second of 8 in handicap at Thirsk (8f, good) 45 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Hood on 1st time. Worth chancing to go one better. On a competitive mark now and goes on the shortlist off the back of two placed efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (11/2 +61%) Saved Lizzie |
11/2(+61%) | (7) Saved Lizzie 11/2, Lightly-raced maiden on Flat. Good fifth of 12 in handicap (125/1) at this C&D 19 days ago. Took a step forward last time and it's still early days, so could do better still. Hard to know what to make of latest run here but that gave something to build on down 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (13/2 +35%) Arenas Del Tiempo |
13/2(+35%) | (3) Arenas Del Tiempo 13/2, Twenty runs since last win in 2021. 18/1, twelfth of 14 in handicap at this course (10f) 19 days ago, slowly away. Visor on 1st time. Has a bit to prove. Lacks consistency now and a lot will hinge on how she responds to the first-time visor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (5/2 +17%) Arabian Rose |
5/2(+17%) | (6) Arabian Rose 5/2, Thrice-raced maiden. Tongue strap on for 1st time, fifth of 12 in maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 80/1). Off 108 days. Appeals as the type to do better switched to handicaps after a break (has had breathing operation). Well related; has undergone wind surgery; this is more realistic in weak handicap company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (11/1 -22%) Go Wild |
11/1(-22%) | (4) Go Wild 11/1, Winner at Lingfield in September. Tenth of 11 in handicap (16/1) at Southwell (7.1f) 26 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Others more persuasive. Hung right throughout on her handicap debut (7f, Tapeta) last time; now tried in headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (4/1 +50%) New Heights |
4/1(+50%) | (1) New Heights 4/1, Seventh of 8 in handicap at Newmarket (9f, good, 8/1) 40 days ago. Sliding in the weights without threatening to take advantage. Struggled this year, coming 9lb down the weights; needs a revival back from six weeks off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (14/1 -40%) Liberty Mountain |
14/1(-40%) | (5) Liberty Mountain 14/1, 2/1, below form third of 6 in claimer at Leicester (7f, heavy) 3 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Needs to bounce back after a quick turnaround. Wins for Joseph Parr both came on the AW in October; well held on heavy going on Monday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (125/1 -213%) Disquietude |
125/1(-213%) | (8) Disquietude 125/1, Last of 8 in handicap at Yarmouth (11.5f, soft, 25/1) 9 days ago. Significantly back down in trip. Likely to struggle from out of the weights. Beaten a long way in six runs; is readily opposed unless there's good support this time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
LOKANA filled second place at Thirsk when last seen in September and the first-time application of a hood could see David O'Meara's three-year-old go one better here. Arabian Rose put in a career best on her latest outing in maiden company and should not be underestimated now handicapping following wind surgery. New Heights and Saved Lizzie are others who make the shortlist.
LOKANA is on a feasible mark and travelled with fluency when second at Thirsk last time, so she's fancied to go one better in a thin race. Arabian Rose is a potential improver switched to handicaps, so she's regarded as a danger along with Saved Lizzie.
A weak fillies' handicap in which all roads lead to LOKANA, who's related to AW winners and has found her level on turf lately.

1st (4) (7/2 +65%) War Chant |
7/2(+65%) | (4) War Chant 7/2, Six wins from 18 Flat runs. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Latest win at Wolverhampton in September. Eighth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 5/1) 31 days ago. Not ruled out. Never been this far and, while this is an easy 1m2f, he has stamina to prove off this mark. |

2nd (5) (10/3 +39%) Rocket Warrior |
10/3(+39%) | (5) Rocket Warrior 10/3, C&D winner. Creditable 3 lengths sixth of 10 to Tribal Wisdom in handicap (3/1) at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 12 days ago. Can make presence felt. Didn't look to have any excuses behind Tribal Wisdom latest; needs to improve on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (7/1 -180%) Tribal Wisdom |
7/1(-180%) | (6) Tribal Wisdom 7/1, 3 wins from 12 runs this year. 13/2, won 10-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 12 days ago, overcoming pace bias. Expected to be bang there again. Had Rocket Warrior behind latest; is fine on Polytrack too and has fair claims upped 4lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (11/2 +45%) Knockbrex |
11/2(+45%) | (1) Knockbrex 11/2, 40/1, creditable sixth of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (10.2f) 16 days ago, better placed than most. Makes polytrack debut. Not taken lightly. Pulled hard and didn't see it out behind No Surrender back from a break; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (10/3 +33%) No Surrender |
10/3(+33%) | (2) No Surrender 10/3, Creditable third of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (10.2f, 6/1) 16 days ago, faring best of those held up. Definite player from a sliding mark. Latest third was better than it looked, with him held up off a steady pace; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (17/2 -183%) Imitate |
17/2(-183%) | (8) Imitate 17/2, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/2, very good third of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 10 days ago, conceding first run. Makes polytrack debut. Longer trip will suit and strong claims. Longer trip should be fine, both on Wolverhampton evidence and pedigree; decent claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (40/1 +20%) Educate |
40/1(+20%) | (3) Educate 40/1, Ninth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (12.1f, 125/1) 26 days ago. Others more persuasive. Two poor efforts for this yard, having been picked up for 32,000gns and gelded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (25/1 0%) L'ennemi |
25/1(0%) | (7) L'ennemi 25/1, 50/1, seventh of 10 in handicap at Redcar (10f, good to soft) 36 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Has work to do. Didn't look to see out 1m2f from the front latest; needs to settle better on his AW debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Tribal Wisdom has to be respected following his win at Wolverhampton recently, but a 4lb rise will make life tougher for him. With that in mind, preference is for IMITATE, who put in a career best when a close third at the same venue 10 days ago and she can race off the same mark here. No Surrender is another who has strong form claims.
IMITATE took a positive step forward when third at Wolverhampton last time and promises to be well suited by this extra distance, so she gets the nod over Tribal Wisdom, who did well to get up from an unpromising position at the same course recently. No Surrender is another definite player.
This can go to IMITATE (nap), who did better on her AW debut last time out and promises to be suited by the longer trip.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
