7/2(+65%) | (2) Speriamo 7/2, Sixth of 9 in handicap (7/1) at Yarmouth (10.1f, good) 31 days ago. Others more persuasive despite falling mark. Has made far less of an impact this year; latest was a rare run over 1m2f. |

2nd (1) (9/4 +18%) Silver Nightfall |
9/4(+18%) | (1) Silver Nightfall 9/4, 5/1 and visored for first time, good second of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW) 5 days ago. Back up in trip. Stepping back in the right direction this season and she now looks well weighted. First-time visor when pipped five days ago; ran well over C&D once last term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (5/1 +50%) Platinum Prince |
5/1(+50%) | (7) Platinum Prince 5/1, Unreliable individual. Sixteen runs since last win in 2022. 12/1, creditable third of 8 in handicap at Brighton (9.9f, soft) 10 days ago. Two years since his last win; beaten a neck over C&D in April and also second two runs ago. |

6th (5) (14/1 +13%) Lenny's Spirit |
14/1(+13%) | (5) Lenny's Spirit 14/1, Ninth of 13 in handicap (28/1) at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 12 days ago, hampered at the start but still making little impression. 6-24 on turf, compared to 1-20 on AW; has largely struggled in both spheres this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (7/2 +0%) The Bay Warrior |
7/2(+0%) | (4) The Bay Warrior 7/2, Three-time C&D winner. 4/1, improved on recent efforts to win 9-runner handicap at Southwell (11.1f) 15 days ago, pushed out. Can give a good account. Three creditable runs in a row under apprentice before he scored at Southwell (1m3f, AW). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|DQ| (6) (11/2 +50%) Awtaad Prince |
11/2(+50%) | (6) Awtaad Prince 11/2, C&D winner. Respectable fourth of 10 in handicap at Leicester (10f, good to soft, 12/1) 9 days ago, sticking to his task. Below form lately but he won off this career-low mark over C&D in February. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Preference is for SILVER NIGHTFALL after she went so close at Lingfield last Saturday and she may well build on that performance.

1st (10) (6/1 -71%) Lion Ring |
6/1(-71%) | (10) Lion Ring 6/1, C&D winner. Two wins from 47 Flat runs. 11/1, won 5-runner handicap at Lingfield (5f, AW) 9 days ago. Carries penalty, which may anchor him. Infrequent winner but comes here on the back of a recent Lingfield win (5f, AW); e-w shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (7/2 -5%) The Defiant |
7/2(-5%) | (7) The Defiant 7/2, C&D winner. Last of 4 in handicap at Brighton (5.3f, good to soft, 8/1) 17 days ago, doing too much too soon. Eased further 2 lb and he's very dangerous if ridden with more restraint. On a lowly mark and his last two wins have come over C&D; one to take seriously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (3/1 +79%) Sankari |
3/1(+79%) | (4) Sankari 3/1, Seventh of 10 in handicap at Newmarket (6f, good, 16/1) 34 days ago. Tumbling in the weights and cheekpieces could galvanise him. Fair 2yo but struggling this season; drops in class with cheekpieces now tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (17/2 +39%) Hi Hoh Tonto |
17/2(+39%) | (11) Hi Hoh Tonto 17/2, Unreliable type. 10/1, first run since leaving Colin Teague when bit below form third of 6 in handicap at Brighton (5.3f, good) 18 days ago. Modest maiden but has hinted at low-level ability; others look stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (15/2 -50%) Thismydream |
15/2(-50%) | (1) Thismydream 15/2, Latest win at Bath in August. No impression on the winner when second of 5 in handicap at Brighton (5.3f, soft, 13/2) 10 days ago. Same mark here. Not at his absolute best the last twice but his earlier Bath win brings him right into it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (10/1 +0%) Spanish Angel |
10/1(+0%) | (6) Spanish Angel 10/1, Ninth of 11 in handicap (9/1) at Southwell (5f) 20 days ago. Given a chance by the handicapper but others still more persuasive. Dangerous mark and he has run well over C&D in the past; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (66/1 -230%) Lady Nagin |
66/1(-230%) | (9) Lady Nagin 66/1, Latest win at Lingfield in May. 40/1, twelfth of 13 in handicap at Bath (5.7f, good to firm) 64 days ago. Can make presence felt returned to the AW. 5f AW winner in May but short of that level in three subsequent runs; others safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (100/1 -203%) Belvoir Kitten |
100/1(-203%) | (12) Belvoir Kitten 100/1, 25/1, last of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 10 days ago. Unplaced all 13 starts; low-key return to action ten days ago; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (10/1 +60%) Bankrupt |
10/1(+60%) | (8) Bankrupt 10/1, Ninth of 11 in handicap at this course (7f, 50/1) 19 days ago. Back down in trip and was prolific on the AW to end 2023 but need to see more spark. Five wins last year; nothing this time around; revival likely to be foretold by the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (20/1 +20%) World Of Darcy |
20/1(+20%) | (5) World Of Darcy 20/1, Tumbling in the weights without remotely looking ready to cash in, 66/1 when last of 8 in handicap at this course (6f) 35 days ago. Down further in class but easy to have reservations. Going the wrong way at a rate of knots; drops in class but with lots to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (17/2 -21%) Man On A Mission |
17/2(-21%) | (3) Man On A Mission 17/2, 7/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at this course (6f). Off 119 days and this is a slight drop in class so not out of this if he's been freshened up by a break. Conditions to suit; on fair mark but his record fresh doesn't suggest this will be the day. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Lion Ring made most when successful at Lingfield recently and he merits respect under a penalty, but a chance is taken on SANKARI. Recent form figures wouldn't suggest he is a winner in waiting, but his handicap mark is reflective of that. The son of Ribchester drops in both trip and grade, with newly-applied cheekpieces. He is completely unexposed on the surface and should the headgear have a positive effect, he might represent some value. Thismydream is also noted.
Hard to make a compelling case for any of these but stall 1 and this sharp 5f is probably just what THE DEFIANT needs so he gets the tentative nod. Thismydream is more likely than most to give his running, with Man On A Mission another to consider back from a break.
The Defiant ought to make a bold bid but this could be the day things fall back into place for SPANISH ANGEL.

1st (3) (10/11 +34%) Saint Riquier |
10/11(+34%) | (3) Saint Riquier 10/11, Has made a positive return from a long absence, successful at Lingfield (12f) before bolting up at Leicester (10f) next time. Things didn't pan out ideally for him when runner-up at Brighton on Tuesday and fancied to come out on top on these favourable terms back up in trip. Well handicapped with a penalty if he can keep up the good work after just a two-day break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 +60%) Le Rouge Chinois |
4/1(+60%) | (1) Le Rouge Chinois 4/1, Latest win at Nottingham in June. 18/1, creditable fifth of 11 in handicap at Southwell (16.5f) 21 days ago, never threatening in a steadily-run affair. Fancied to give a good account. Got upset in the stalls when below form on latest start; player if straight back to form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (16/1 -167%) Beautiful Crown |
16/1(-167%) | (2) Beautiful Crown 16/1, Course winner. 3 wins from 7 runs this year. Latest win here in August. 1¾ lengths fourth of 7 to Saint Riquier in handicap (10/3) at Lingfield (12f, AW) 19 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Likely he'll be thereabouts. Record at short of 1m4f remains more persuasive; more to prove on this first crack at 1m6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (6/1 -100%) Kinetic |
6/1(-100%) | (7) Kinetic 6/1, Has made a highly positive start for her new yard, completing quick-fire hat-trick at Musselburgh (12.5f) 23 days ago, all out to hold on. Revised mark demands more but she's unexposed at this sort of trip and may not have finished improving yet. Hat-trick over about 1m4f in August; 1m6f plausible and rash to rule out further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (25/1 -25%) Delta Legend |
25/1(-25%) | (4) Delta Legend 25/1, Two 1m AW wins at Lingfield this year. Respectable third of 7 in handicap (11/1) at this course (10f) 19 days ago, albeit never travelling well and making only late headway. Significantly up in trip. Good places over 1m2f here on last two outings, when it looked as if he would stay further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (11/2 -10%) Standbackandlook |
11/2(-10%) | (6) Standbackandlook 11/2, Ready winner of back-to-back Wolverhampton handicaps (at 14f) prior to a respectable third of 7 in handicap back on turf at Nottingham (14f) 4 weeks ago. Improved model since tackling this trip and he's fancied to figure. Second of his two wins at Wolverhampton (1m6f, AW) this summer was easily his best form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (66/1 -313%) Manu Et Corde |
66/1(-313%) | (5) Manu Et Corde 66/1, One win from 23 Flat runs but did run his best race for some time having fallen plenty in the weights when third of 8 in handicap at this C&D (40/1) 28 days ago, weakening final 1f. However, he may well be vulnerable again for win purposes here. Way down weights and took minor honours on last two outings, making most over C&D latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Saint Riquier (ran on Tuesday) and Le Rouge Chinois need major respect but KINETIC (nap) is tipped to complete her four-timer.

1st (3) (7/2 +0%) Blue Collar Lad |
7/2(+0%) | (3) Blue Collar Lad 7/2, Making first start since leaving Alice Haynes, ran better than for a while when second of 6 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW, 9/4) 15 days ago. Enters calculations with cheekpieces back on. Pleasing stable debut at Lingfield a fortnight ago (7f); strong claims at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (7/2 +13%) Lewis Barnes |
7/2(+13%) | (6) Lewis Barnes 7/2, Ran well from his reduced mark when second at this course (5f) in August. Not in the same form when last of 4 in handicap at Lingfield (5f, AW, 8/11) 15 days ago, but he could bounce back with blinkers on 1st time. 12-race maiden; disappointed last time but earlier third here (5f) gives him claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (17/2 +15%) War Zone |
17/2(+15%) | (10) War Zone 17/2, Produced his best performance when runner-up in minor event at this C&D in August. However, failed to repeat that effort when sixth of 7 in similar event here (9/2) 28 days ago. More needed back in a handicap. Conditions fine but he wasn't at his best last time and needs more back in a handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (15/2 -7%) Poetic Jack |
15/2(-7%) | (5) Poetic Jack 15/2, Sole win at this course (7f) last year. Has returned to form on his last 2 outings, fourth of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW, 13/2) a fortnight ago. Capable of getting involved. Offered more the last twice and this course winner (7f) is more appealing than many. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (6/1 +20%) Q Twenty Boy |
6/1(+20%) | (4) Q Twenty Boy 6/1, Three wins this year, with latest success at this course (5f) in August. Not quite in the same form last 2 starts, fourth of 9 in handicap (13/2) at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 10 days ago, but he's not discounted back here. Three wins this year, the latest here (5f) last month; each-way claims again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (33/1 -106%) Zelma |
33/1(-106%) | (11) Zelma 33/1, In first-time blinkers and tongue strap, unsuited by drop in trip when fourth of 6 in handicap at Lingfield (5f, AW, 14/1) 2 weeks ago. Back up in distance but she still has work to do. 5f too sharp last time but made some late headway; 6f can help but others look safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (13/2 +46%) Araifjan |
13/2(+46%) | (2) Araifjan 13/2, Four-time C&D winner. However, he was struggling for form when last seen, last of 8 in handicap at Wetherby (5.5f, good to firm, 50/1) in June. Off 108 days (has had wind op) with tongue strap on 1st time. Conditions ideal and he returns from another wind op on a paltry mark; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (33/1 -230%) Falmouth Boy |
33/1(-230%) | (9) Falmouth Boy 33/1, Form has gone the wrong way this year, last of 6 in handicap (11/2) at Lingfield (5f, AW) 2 weeks ago. Falling in the weights but others more persuasive at present. 0-10 but has shown enough to think a similar race could fall his way; return to 6f a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (12/1 -60%) Don't Fight It |
12/1(-60%) | (8) Don't Fight It 12/1, Stepped up on reappearance run when second of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW, 40/1) 9 days ago, with the winner having scored again since. Well treated on old form and she can make her presence felt. Back to form when 2nd at Lingfield last week (6f, AW); dangerous if building on it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (11/1 -120%) Overnight Oats |
11/1(-120%) | (1) Overnight Oats 11/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. Back down in trip, raced freely when seventh of 9 in handicap (5/1) at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 12 days ago. It remains early days with his current yard, though, so he's not written off. Return of the hood may help and he's dangerously well treated if it does. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
BLUE COLLAR LAD was only beaten a head into second over 7f at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago and the five-year-old merits the utmost respect on the back of that effort, despite a 2lb rise. Q Twenty Boy has not been disgraced on either start since winning over 5f here in mid-August and he should not be discounted, while Lewis Barnes and Poetic Jack are also noted.
LEWIS BARNES produced one of his better efforts for his current yard when runner-up at this course on his penultimate start, so with blinkers applied he is taken to leave his latest run behind having eased further in the weights. Don't Fight It is also on a handy mark and could be the main danger, with Blue Collar Lad also considered.
Araifjan is always feared around here but OVERNIGHT OATS has a hood back on here and is tentatively preferred.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (15/2 -50%) Maverick Style |
15/2(-50%) | (5) Maverick Style 15/2, C&D winner. Respectable third of 7 in handicap (7/2) at Chepstow (8.1f, good to firm) 17 days ago, slowly away. Blinkers back on. C&D winner; in and out this year but she can't be discounted in a weak race. |

80/1(-300%) | (8) Kodi Hawk 80/1, 80/1 and visored for 1st time, fourth of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 14 days ago, never nearer. The odd promising effort and stepping back up to 7f may help; far from solid though. |

9/2(+25%) | (1) Top Button 9/2, Winner at Wolverhampton in July. 11/2, respectable sixth of 11 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 16 days ago. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. 7f win at Brighton in July; didn't get home over 1m latest; contender back at this trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
This is weaker than the C&D handicap in which TWITCH was a game second last month and he can rate higher on this surface.

9/2(+18%) | (8) Laguna Boy 9/2, 5/1, career best when winning 7-runner handicap at this C&D 21 days ago, making all. More needed again but remains unexposed. Improved to win a C&D handicap three weeks ago; 3lb rise fair and he retains potential. |

7th (1) (11/1 -57%) Thapa Vc |
11/1(-57%) | (1) Thapa Vc 11/1, Latest win at Doncaster in July. Creditable second of 12 in handicap (5/1) at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 33 days ago. Can make presence felt. Hold-up performer; comes here on the back of a string of good turf runs; high on the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (13) (7/1 -75%) Master Dandy |
7/1(-75%) | (13) Master Dandy 7/1, 7/4, career best when winning 5-runner handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW) 8 days ago. Can follow up off same mark. Unpenalised for last week's 6f win at Lingfield; 3lb well in; stamina not assured. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (16/1 +0%) Sir Oliver |
16/1(+0%) | (6) Sir Oliver 16/1, C&D winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2023. Respectable sixth of 13 in handicap (10/1) at Newcastle (6f) 9 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. On a good mark and conditions are no problem; other prominent racers to deal with though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (40/1 -100%) Letmelivemylife |
40/1(-100%) | (4) Letmelivemylife 40/1, 3-time C&D winner. First run since leaving Barry Brennan when ninth of 12 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm, 33/1) 31 days ago. Conditions to suit and he's down to a lowly mark; sharper for last month's return; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (9/2 +31%) Jackson Street |
9/2(+31%) | (11) Jackson Street 9/2, Fairly useful maiden. 11/4, very good second of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 9 days ago. Not taken lightly. Still a maiden but he's been threatening and this should be run to suit; shortlisted. |

12th (12) (25/1 +50%) Roman Emperor |
25/1(+50%) | (12) Roman Emperor 25/1, Last of 9 in handicap (25/1) at Newmarket (6f, good) 41 days ago. Not easy to make a case for. Out of sorts on turf this summer but he returns to AW on a dangerous mark; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (9) (17/2 -21%) Sovereign Knight |
17/2(-21%) | (9) Sovereign Knight 17/2, Course winner. Latest win here in August. Good second of 11 in handicap (7/2) at Yarmouth (6f, good) 25 days ago. Improving over 6f; has 7f form but an easy lead seems unlikely in this field; opposable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MASTER DANDY responded well for Jack Doughty when landing an apprentices' race over 6f at Lingfield last week and, given he is 3lb well-in after that first handicap success, it should pay to stick with the James Fanshawe-trained gelding, with the longer trip a potential source of further progression. Thapa VC and All Agleam have been holding their form well and have solid chances, while The Waiting Game is dangerous to underestimate.
MASTER DANDY showed improved form to resume winning ways at Lingfield under this rider last week and can further enhance his solid record on the AW off the same mark (due to go up 3 lb). It surely won't be long before Jackson Street gets off the mark judged on his excellent second at Newcastle recently and is next best ahead of the in-form Thapa Vc.
A competitive race but likely to be well run and the in-form THAPA VC is taken to get the better of Jackson Street.

1st (5) (33/1 -106%) Jacks My Boy |
33/1(-106%) | (5) Jacks My Boy 33/1, €16,000 yearling, Kuroshio gelding. Shaped as if better for the run when sixth of 7 in maiden at Lingfield (8f, AW, 13/2) on debut 14 days ago, driven over 2f out and fading. Probably one for later on. Behind a couple of today's rivals at Lingfield on debut two weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (4/9 +28%) Saigon Dream |
4/9(+28%) | (3) Saigon Dream 4/9, Ran to barely a modest level on debut yet, at huge odds, he took a marked step forward when second of 10 in novice (66/1) at Kempton (7f) 22 days ago, well positioned and edged out close home. Obvious claims with a repeat. Improved at the 2nd attempt when runner-up at Kempton (7f) last month; sets the standard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (16/1 -60%) Space Trooper |
16/1(-60%) | (1) Space Trooper 16/1, Lethal Force gelding. Half-brother to smart 6f/7f winner Apollo One and 11f winner Giorgius. Dam 1m-10.3f winner. Betting should prove a useful guide as to expectations on racecourse bow. Half-brother to stable star Apollo One (won on debut); starts in weak race; check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (5/1 -43%) Mauchline |
5/1(-43%) | (2) Mauchline 5/1, Territories gelding. 4/1, showed ability and likely to be better for initial experience when fifth of 7 in maiden at Lingfield (8f, AW) on debut 14 days ago. Looks the type to do better. 4-1 2nd fav for Lingfield debut last month and showed enough to warrant consideration. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (5/1 +9%) Mr Grimes |
5/1(+9%) | (4) Mr Grimes 5/1, €30,000 yearling, Dandy Man gelding. Easy to back, ran to a fair level when second of 7 in maiden at Lingfield (1m, AW) on debut 14 days ago, keeping on without threatening the winner. Should be thereabouts on that form. Beat two of today's rivals when 2nd on recent debut (1m, AW); needs more but it's possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (200/1 -203%) Summanus |
200/1(-203%) | (6) Summanus 200/1, 8,000 gns yearling, Barraquero gelding. Showed only greenness when last of 4 in novice (12/1) at Lingfield (8f, AW) on debut 8 days ago. Can only be watched. Tailed off at Lingfield on last week's debut; hard to recommend on the back of that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (80/1 -21%) Video Games |
80/1(-21%) | (7) Video Games 80/1, Twice-raced filly. 20/1, tenth of 11 in novice at Windsor (6f, good) 13 months ago. Has since left Ralph Beckett and hard to warm to on what she has achieved to date. Poor form in two 6f runs for R Beckett last summer; best watched after long absence. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
SAIGON DREAM progressed from his debut run when a close second to an 80-rated rival at Kempton last month and, with further improvement likely now he steps up to a mile, this is well within reach for the son of Oasis Dream at this stage. Mr Grimes (second) finished a length in front of Mauchline (fifth) in a Lingfield maiden a fortnight ago and can give the selection some food for thought with a step forward.
SAIGON DREAM left his debut effort in his wake when finishing runner-up at Kempton 3 weeks ago, edged out only close home. A repeat should see Jack Channon's 3-y-o tough to contain. Mauchline and Mr Grimes are expected to provide chief resistance.
A weak maiden in which SAIGON DREAM is taken to prove too strong for Mauchline.

Heerathetrack |
(1) (9/2 +31%)9/2(+31%) | (1) Heerathetrack 9/2, Course winner. 13/2, creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at this course (7f) 19 days ago. Stas this far and he's likely to give it another good shot. Two good runs over 7f here last month; has form over 1m; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (11) (10/1 +17%) Bold Suitor |
10/1(+17%) | (11) Bold Suitor 10/1, C&D winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2022. Sixth of 7 in handicap (18/1) at Lingfield (8f, AW) 15 days ago, denied a clear run so a shade better than the result. He hasn't run badly in recent starts but others bring more pressing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/1 -40%) H Key Lails |
7/1(-40%) | (3) H Key Lails 7/1, C&D winner. Good third of 8 in handicap at this C&D (11/1) 28 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. That performance marks him down as a very interesting contender. Goes well here and latest C&D third was a fine effort from the front; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (22/1 -38%) Drifts Away |
22/1(-38%) | (10) Drifts Away 22/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 100/1, seventh of 9 in maiden at this C&D 35 days ago, well positioned. Makes handicap debut and mark asks for more. Latest C&D run is perhaps not solid form but he makes his handicap debut at a low level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (13) (14/1 -40%) Nasneen |
14/1(-40%) | (13) Nasneen 14/1, Fifth of 8 in handicap (11/2) at Catterick (6f, good) 22 days ago, merely closing up late. Significantly back up in trip, which will help her cause. Placed at Windsor in July (1m, good to firm); less good over 6f latest; can go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (14/1 +13%) Handel |
14/1(+13%) | (6) Handel 14/1, Seventeen runs since sole win in 2023. 14/1, creditable fifth of 13 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 24 days ago. Hard to win with but narrowly missed out on his penultimate start; opposable for the win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (125/1 -150%) Kodiac Brave |
125/1(-150%) | (12) Kodiac Brave 125/1, Long-standing maiden in Hong Kong who has finished well held on 4 of his 5 starts since switching to these shores. Hard to fancy. Poor form in Hong Kong and yet to show much since joining current yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (15/8 +17%) Forever Proud |
15/8(+17%) | (8) Forever Proud 15/8, Latest win at Lingfield in May. First run since leaving Mark Hoad when respectable third of 11 in handicap (5/4) at Lingfield (10f, AW) 9 days ago. Expected to build on that for his up-and-coming yard. Couldn't justify favouritism at Lingfield on last week's stable debut; still a key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (22/1 +33%) Baulac |
22/1(+33%) | (9) Baulac 22/1, Eighth of 9 in minor event (18/1) at Lingfield (7f, AW) 19 days ago. Needs to leave that run well behind. Unplaced in all nine starts but some promise last year; yet to fire this time around. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (10/1 -54%) Meng Tian |
10/1(-54%) | (2) Meng Tian 10/1, 7/1, respectable seventh of 13 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 24 days ago, a wide trip not helping his cause. On a winning mark and C&D second two runs back was a fair effort; others preferred though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (14) (50/1 -150%) Explosively |
50/1(-150%) | (14) Explosively 50/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Cheekpieces on for first time, ninth of 10 in handicap (33/1) at Lingfield (8f, AW) 23 days ago, very slowly away and then too free. Visor returned. Lightly raced filly but failed to improve for the switch to handicaps at Lingfield latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (16/1 +36%) United Force |
16/1(+36%) | (5) United Force 16/1, Latest win at Yarmouth in July. Ninth of 13 in handicap (25/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 24 days ago. Yarmouth win in July has been followed by two lesser efforts; others look safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (16/1 -129%) Takes Time |
16/1(-129%) | (7) Takes Time 16/1, Good second of 8 in handicap (11/4) at Chester (7f, heavy) 6 days ago. Makes polytrack debut but previous AW form hardly sets the pulse racing. Her two runs this month have been more encouraging; drops in grade for Polytrack debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
She was a beaten favourite on her stable debut last week but FOREVER PROUD still ran pretty well and she can come out on top this time.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
