17:25 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HARRY THE HAGGLER made all to score over 1m4f at Southwell last month and another bold bid from the front looks likely, especially with the five-year-old able to utilise his stamina over a shorter trip. Fellow last-time-out winner Major Major looks the main danger to the selection upped 3lb for that recent victory over this distance at Lingfield. Persian Phoenix is respected most out of the remainder.

HARRY THE HAGGLER ended his long losing run in uncomplicated fashion when making all at Southwell and a 2 lb rise doesn't look insurmountable. Fellow last-time-out winner Major Major is next best ahead of Curtiz.

It may be worth siding with MAJOR MAJOR who bounced back to winning ways at Lingfield last time and remains well treated on old form.

18:00 Chelmsford Maiden (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In what should prove to be an informative affair, PANTILE WARRIOR gets the nod. The gelded son of Frankel was last seen finishing an admirable second behind a subsequent winner over a mile at Goodwood when last seen and, stepping up in trip, he gets the nod to gain a breakthrough victory. Reasoning has an eye-catching profile on paper and it would be no surprise if this daughter of Justify was able to make her presence felt first time up. Andersen completes the shortlist.

PANTILE WARRIOR sets a high standard on last season's form so should take the beating. Soy Loco left his debut run well behind when third at Kempton and is next best ahead of newcomers Too Darn Seanie, Reasoning and Andersen.

With the form of his three second-place finishes last year having worked out so well, PANTILE WARRIOR should take all the beating.

18:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DESERT CHAMPION lost little in defeat when finishing a close-up third at Wolverhampton last month and, sporting a visor for the first time on handicap debut, he gets the vote to go two places better this time around. Just Like Magic showed a likeable attitude when getting off the mark at the first time of asking in handicap company recently and he looks the main danger off 3lb higher. Commendation can also go well.

JUST LIKE MAGIC was much improved when making a winning handicap debut at Lingfield 5 weeks ago, leaving the impression there's more to come in the process. He can defy a 3 lb rise in the weights and follow up. Desert Champion, who is fitted with a visor for his respective handicap debut, and another last-time-out winner, Commendation, head the dangers.

Just Like Magic and Oakley Boy are closely matched but top of the list is the well-bred DESERT CHAMPION on handicap debut.

19:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having filled the runner-up spot here and at Wolverhampton in recent months, compensation could be on the cards for SILKY ROBIN. Brian Toomey's gelding makes plenty of appeal running off the same mark and he looks ready to open his account. The biggest threat may emerge from Papa Don't Preach, who arrives on the back of a close-up third over C&D, while fellow in-form rival Due Date is also likely to be involved.

With a strong pace forecast, this may be run to suit the free-going PAPA DON'T PREACH who last time settled better than he has done previously and is on a fair handicap mark if putting it all together. Poetic Jack and Silky Robin both tend to race prominently but have some strong form around this track and merit plenty of respect.

Despite being a 14-race maiden the vote goes to SILKY ROBIN (nap). He has run well in both starts over C&D and looks ready to strike.

19:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Stella Hogan supplemented her victory at Kempton in mid-January with creditable efforts in defeat at that same venue and most recently at Southwell. Mick Appleby's mare is likely to post another bold bid off just 1lb higher, but WINDSOR PASS is slightly more compelling. The seven-year-old accounted for reopposing second Mashaan on her penultimate start over C&D and she is taken to confirm her superiority over the Kodiac gelding once more.

STELLA HOGAN didn't entirely convince with her head carriage under pressure at Southwell on her most recent start, but is holding her form well nonetheless and is taken to notch a second win for current connections. Match Anthem and Windsor Pass are a couple of potential threats in a competitive affair.

The vote goes to STELLA HOGAN who has been running well lately and who may find a bit more with an eyeshield fitted.

20:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Kitaro Kich has won three of his four starts so far this year and another good effort looks likely on the back of a convincing success at Lingfield earlier in the week. Mr Fustic has also scored at Lingfield recently and is another of interest, but ANGELICA K makes most appeal. The five-year-old appreciated the return to today's shorter distance when beating a subsequent winner at Kempton and there looks more to come from her on the strength of that form.

Stall 11 isn't ideal, but KITARO KICH is in the form of his life at present and is difficult to oppose under a 5 lb penalty having run out a most decisive winner at Lingfield earlier in the week. Waleyfa is still lightly raced for her current yard and goes well fresh, so must enter calculations, along with Angelica K, who remains unexposed at this trip.

It's hard to oppose KITARO KICH in his current mood. He looked to win with plenty in hand at Lingfield on Wednesday.

20:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

VELVET VORTEX may prove a more potent force over this extra furlong after finishing an encouraging fourth over 7f here on his reappearance and debut for Mike Murphy. A bold bid is expected off his current mark and he gets the vote ahead of Boujee Gold. The latter had been in fine form before disappointing at Southwell, while Heerathetrack has a couple of recent placed efforts under his belt and could also feature.

The vote goes to the least exposed in the field VELVET VORTEX, who is capable of better still now stepping back up in trip. Boujee Gold can have a big say if shrugging off a lesser effort at Southwell, with Repartee and Heerathetrack two others to consider.

It may be worth siding with VELVET VORTEX who appears to be gradually improving and who should be suited by the return to this trip.
