3rd (1) ![]() American State |
9/1(+18%) | (1) American State 9/1, On his two runs to date, this might be tricky; still learning and there has been something to take from his two starts; still only a small chance Fifth in two 7f runs at Southwell this year; place claims with a reproduction. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) ![]() Thornbush |
33/1(-175%) | (7) Thornbush 33/1, 30,000gns Australia gelding; half-brother to Glendower, useful at 10f; dam a 6f Listed winner 30,000gns yearling; closely related to a 1m3f winner but dam a Listed-winning sprinter. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) ![]() For What Its Worth |
200/1(-60%) | (8) For What Its Worth 200/1, Well beaten in a maiden at Wolverhampton only start; hard to recommend although is another that will have learnt on the job last time 66-1 when always in rear on his Wolverhampton debut 17 days ago (7f); best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) ![]() An Fear Beag |
200/1(-300%) | (5) An Fear Beag 200/1, Hard to recommend on what we have seen in two starts so far Big prices and down the field in two Kempton runs (7f) this spring; easy to swerve. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Gelded since a narrow defeat over 6f at Newcastle last month on his first start for the George Boughey team, INNS OF FEAR should appreciate going back up in trip and he can deservedly get off the mark at the fourth time of asking. Not beaten far on his debut at Lingfield last month, Key Witness is entitled to improve for that experience, while the well-related Koge looks to be the pick of the newcomers.
Key Witness can step up on his debut effort but INNS OF FEAR sets the standard and this trip could prove his optimum.

1st (8) ![]() Rich Rhythm |
15/2(-67%) | (8) Rich Rhythm 15/2, Nearly backed up his January win when going down by a neck last time; form of that race is ok; reasonably consistent and is of clear interest In good form this winter and he remains feasibly treated; should make another bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) ![]() Flag Of St George |
9/4(+50%) | (3) Flag Of St George 9/4, Has run a few decent races recently over 1m without winning, including running to form last time; still lightly raced over 7f and he comes here a player Running creditably in stronger 1m handicaps this year; one to consider dropped in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) ![]() Chifa |
12/1(+14%) | (7) Chifa 12/1, Decent record on the AW; ran well after 472 days off when 3rd in March; couldn't back that up last time; can bounce back and have a say Fine return from lengthy absence when 3rd at Wolverhampton last month; not so good latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) ![]() Secret Strength |
5/2(+58%) | (5) Secret Strength 5/2, Started slowly last time and couldn't get into it; won in January and backed that up in February; contender Coaxed back to form by new yard; Rossa Ryan booked for his return to Class 5; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) ![]() Future Cutlet |
50/1(-213%) | (1) Future Cutlet 50/1, Didn't fire last time; may have needed it; patches of form from time in Ireland; significant jockey booking Promise in Ireland but he made a low-key stable debut at Kempton this month; sharper today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) ![]() G'daay |
5/2(+38%) | (4) G'daay 5/2, Mostly consistent in the last year; 7f is fine; not seen to best effect last time; 3rd from start before that has won again, but winner has disappointed; in with a chance Caught wide when 4th at Lingfield latest; second over C&D on penultimate run; back up 3lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) ![]() Nammos |
5/1(+9%) | (9) Nammos 5/1, Back from a break when 4th on last start when G'Daay was 2nd; 3lbs better off with that rival this time; can come forward from that run to be a challenger Two C&D wins last year; promising return to action three weeks ago; handy mark; yard run 2. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) ![]() Vinatera |
28/1(-250%) | (6) Vinatera 28/1, First two starts held some promise, below par last time; can be keen; needs better from this mark; this longer trip should be ok Third in two 7f Polytrack events before finding 6f too sharp last time; handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) ![]() Rogue Soldier |
100/1(-614%) | (2) Rogue Soldier 100/1, Looked well treated when winning on last start (July); not had many goes at 7f; needs to show it suits Two wins for former stables; sold £1,000 in September; best watched after nine months off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Narrowly denied in his attempt to land a double at Southwell last month, RICH RHYTHM looks to be more than capable of gaining compensation off just 1lb higher. Harriet Bethell's charge may have too much for Nammos and stablemate Flag Of St George, who is likely to appreciate the drop back to 7f. G'daay has strong claims if bouncing back to the form of his second over C&D two starts ago.
Rich Rhythm and SECRET STRENGTH appeal most and the latter can capitalise on the drop in class and return to Polytrack.

1st (9) ![]() Fat Gladiator |
5/1(+29%) | (9) Fat Gladiator 5/1, Off for the best part of two years before running with some promise in early March; not at that level in two starts since, but back to 7f today and down another 2lbs Ran well after long layoff in March; less good without hood since but headgear returns now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) ![]() Thomas Equinas |
3/1(+40%) | (7) Thomas Equinas 3/1, 57 looks manageable (last winning mark), but he will need to be a bit less keen that he was last time; goes well here; is in the mix Conditions to suit and this is less demanding than last week's C&D assignment; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) ![]() Dashing Donkey |
11/1(-57%) | (11) Dashing Donkey 11/1, Put in some good efforts last season; returns from a break here, but has a chance if reproducing some of his better form Two turf wins last season but also effective over C&D; well drawn but absent for 5 months. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) ![]() Stacey Racey |
17/2(-6%) | (8) Stacey Racey 17/2, Slightly below par last time; dropped to 1lb above last winning mark; looks very dangerous back in a Class 6 Two AW handicap wins in 2024; not at best so far in 2025 but capable of better; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) ![]() Mashaan |
11/2(+27%) | (3) Mashaan 11/2, Not at best when beaten odds-on favourite last time; that was over 6f and back to 7f here should see him in better light; has 9lbs more to carry today which makes this tougher Returning to 7f is a positive but he's now 9lb higher than for last month's Lingfield win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) ![]() Kessaar Power |
16/1(-60%) | (12) Kessaar Power 16/1, 1lb above last winning mark; didn't run very well last time so needs to bounce back; can't be totally discounted Prominent racer with a handy draw; goes well at Chelmsford; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) ![]() Overlooked |
11/4(+63%) | (2) Overlooked 11/4, A reasonably consistent type; needs to prove that 7f suits; can't be discounted with a handful of winners coming out of last few runs; first start on polytrack 14-race maiden but capable at a modest level and he's dropping down the weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) ![]() Shot Of Love |
18/1(+28%) | (5) Shot Of Love 18/1, Mark is falling, but looks an unlikely winner; out of form recently Run to form in just one of his six starts for this yard; others have more pressing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) ![]() Mitigator |
50/1(-25%) | (4) Mitigator 50/1, Returning from over a year off when last of eight last time; some patches of better form, but looks to be better suited to further Low-key stable debut/reappearance 12 days ago (1m2f, good); best watched over 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) ![]() Scarlet Lady |
22/1(-193%) | (10) Scarlet Lady 22/1, Hasn't been running to form this year and was a disappointing favourite last time when on turf; hard to be confident Disappointing since an easy Yarmouth win last summer, including when well backed latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) ![]() South Kensington |
50/1(-25%) | (1) South Kensington 50/1, Best run was back in November 2023; not shown much since then; down another 6lbs after 9l adrift last time; down into a Class 6; not the most convincing Well held at big prices in two runs for new yard; down in class; market should guide. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
This looks like an ideal opportunity for TRIGGERED to regain the winning thread, with Billy Loughnane returning to the saddle after a narrow defeat over C&D last time out. A taking winner at Lingfield on his penultimate outing, Mashaan can follow him home, while Thomas Equinas scored over C&D in October. Others to note include Dashing Donkey, Overlooked and Stacey Racey.
Triggered and Thomas Equinas can feature prominently but STACEY RACEY is back to a dangerous mark and could be the answer.

1st (3) ![]() Smokey Malone |
5/1(-43%) | (3) Smokey Malone 5/1, Last three starts have all been up to form, including a win over 12f; ran well last time over 13.5f; likely contender Running well lately including second of 12 here (13.3f) last time; should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Merry Minister |
11/4(+21%) | (2) Merry Minister 11/4, Has won off this mark before (2m) and was 2nd by a nose in this race last year; needs to be ready to go after a long time away from the track; one to think about 2lb lower than when beaten a nose in this race last year; off 11 months; watch market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) ![]() Forglen |
11/4(+39%) | (5) Forglen 11/4, Hung left when 4th last time; can do better and the 7th has won since; not tried at the trip before, but ought to cope and be competitive Fourth in last two starts; still unexposed; has shaped as though worth a go over this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) ![]() Yakhabar |
6/1(+0%) | (7) Yakhabar 6/1, Looked to stay 2m 1/2f last time, just didn't have clearest run; wins have come over 12.5f; not the most reliable overall, but on a low mark and one to consider Running better of late as when second at Southwell last time; player if able to repeat it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) ![]() Trackman |
9/1(+10%) | (8) Trackman 9/1, Winless in his career; below form last time after a fair run before that (both at Wolves over 14f); unlikely winner Third at Wolverhampton in February, but didn't repeat it there last month and now 0-17. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) ![]() Unification |
40/1(-21%) | (6) Unification 40/1, Form this season has been poor, most recently over 2m 1/2f; little to suggest he will turn things around today Out of the frame in all 12 starts under rules despite a sliding mark; hard to recommend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) ![]() National Health |
11/2(-10%) | (4) National Health 11/2, Never tried over this trip on the flat (PU in 2m hurdle); has put together a string of placed efforts this season; needs to find a bit to be winning today 0-15 under rules and has never attempted this far on the Flat; something to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) ![]() Elvington |
66/1(-230%) | (1) Elvington 66/1, Very little in three runs so far to suggest she will be winning this; up in trip on handicap debut; significant jockey booking Little in three starts last year; improvement needed on handicap debut; off seven months. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SMOKEY MALONE occupied the runner-up berth in this class here in February and competes off an unchanged mark. The seven-year-old clearly remains on a workable rating and it would be no surprise to see him go one better. Yakhabar was only beaten a length into second at Southwell at the start of the month and can go well, while Merry Minister is another to consider.
Preference is for SMOKEY MALONE (nap), the only previous course winner in the field who finished second over shorter here last time.

1st (2) ![]() Woodhay Whisper |
11/4(+8%) | (2) Woodhay Whisper 11/4, Ran to form beaten 2 1/2l off 55 at Lingfield last time; was in front of a few of these and behind Hala Joza; penultimate start would also put her in the mix and she didn't get the clearest run that day; Exposed maiden but she comes here on the back of two placed efforts in 6f AW handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) ![]() Hala Joza |
10/3(+5%) | (4) Hala Joza 10/3, Came forward from penultimate start to run to form last time; 3/4l ahead of Woodhay Whisper; up 1lb, but if in that form, she should be right there at the end Had a few of these behind her when 2nd at Lingfield two weeks ago; not so well drawn here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) ![]() Sarabi |
33/1(-408%) | (5) Sarabi 33/1, 7.5l behind last time when Hala Joza was second; needed a bit more room; largely out of form; would need to improve to figure here Quite a lot went wrong for her at Lingfield last time; bigger effort could be forthcoming. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) ![]() My Boy Harry |
14/1(+50%) | (9) My Boy Harry 14/1, A bit below par in two handicaps this year; 1m may not have suited last time; needs to find a bit more to challenge here Only had two handicap runs but neither has suggested he was a likely winner today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) ![]() Top Biller |
16/1(-33%) | (6) Top Biller 16/1, Last of 10 last time (behind Hala Joza, Woodhay Whisper, She's A Dark Horse and Sarabi); may have needed it after 51 days off but would have to show better today 6f win at Wolverhampton in January; behind some of these on stable debut (wide draw). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) ![]() Castellina |
6/1(+0%) | (1) Castellina 6/1, Beaten at 100/1 most recently in Newmarket novice; first start in a handicap can see her in a better light; looks to have a bit to find From a fine family; should leave her 2yo form behind her now handicapping at a low level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) ![]() She's A Dark Horse |
10/1(-25%) | (8) She's A Dark Horse 10/1, Wide trip when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; cheekpieces first time and could figure Has shown some promise in handicaps but others bring more compelling claims; new headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) ![]() Duffus Castle |
3/1(+67%) | (3) Duffus Castle 3/1, Appeared not to stay beaten 9l in a handicap over 8f at Yarmouth last time; generally out of form; blinkers first time; needs better Well beaten in two 1m handicaps this year; down in trip with blinkers tried; R Ryan booked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) ![]() Metamora |
40/1(-344%) | (7) Metamora 40/1, Huge price when last last time; can show better on this first go at a handicap; not out of it completely with 6f more up her street Poor form so far but several reasons to expect a more prominent showing today. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
HALA JOZA had Woodhay Whisper (third) and She's A Dark Horse (fifth) behind when she filled the runner-up spot at Lingfield earlier in the month and that looks the key piece of form to focus on. The daughter of Twilight Son may only need to reproduce that effort in order to go one better. Castellina is an interesting contender on her handicap bow in a first-time tongue-tie.
Handicap debutantes Castellina and METAMORA are bred to be better than Class 6 sprinters and are the most interesting contenders.

1st (7) ![]() Cavalry Call |
7/2(+0%) | (7) Cavalry Call 7/2, Last two starts have been good, including one over C&D; up to form last time when beaten a neck at Bath (turf); visor first time; looks the one to be on 1-16 but only beaten a neck the last twice including over C&D; visor on. |

2nd (2) ![]() Crystal Mariner |
7/1(+30%) | (2) Crystal Mariner 7/1, Keen last time, but plugged on; held up in a slowly run race; winner subsequently went in again; can be seen to better effect today; trip looks to be fine 1lb lower than when chasing home a progressive rival at Kempton in December; tongue-tie on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Ninth Life |
13/2(+19%) | (1) Ninth Life 13/2, Beaten 6.5l last time when allowed to dictate, but probably needed that run; down 1lb and can play a part Looked to need his Newcastle return a fortnight ago; respected with the run under his belt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) ![]() Fox Avatar |
7/2(+36%) | (6) Fox Avatar 7/2, Ground probably too testing when comfortably held in a novice over 8f at Nottingham last time; first two starts much more promising; back up to 10f (winner on turf); open to marked improvement Makes handicap/AW debut after six months off; sire has a good record here; hood on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) ![]() Always A Star |
10/3(+44%) | (9) Always A Star 10/3, Lightly raced and three starts this year have held some promise; well backed favourite when third last time, but that run left room for improvement; can contend 0-4 but steadily progressing, finishing third on handicap debut at Yarmouth this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) ![]() Saturn Five |
10/1(-82%) | (3) Saturn Five 10/1, Ought to come on from his last start (came after 673 days off); usually held up; chance if building on last start Ran with credit when fourth on his return from 673 days off at Newcastle last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) ![]() Caelan |
15/2(+38%) | (8) Caelan 15/2, Stewards were interested in his penultimate start where he stayed on well; hung a little last time and had a bit too much to do; should be able to win off of this mark and he's one for the shortlist 3lb below last winning mark and chased home a couple of thriving rivals last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) ![]() Dr Waksman |
50/1(-257%) | (4) Dr Waksman 50/1, Built on his hurdles debut last time when beaten 7.5l; steadily progressive on the flat last year; off a short-break; has a chance now in a handicap Has run with credit on Polytrack in Ireland and over hurdles for this yard; not dimissed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Fox Avatar failed to supplement his novice victory at Beverley when only fifth at Nottingham in October, but makes his handicap debut with Silvestre De Sousa booked. However, CAVALRY CALL has occupied the runner-up berth the last twice, most recently at Bath on Sunday, and the son of Invincible Army could find the improvement required from the application of a first-time visor. Ninth Life isn't out of it either.
It may be worth supporting CAELAN who is off the same mark as when third behind a couple of thriving rivals at Wolverhampton last time.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
