1st (2) ![]() Birkenhead |
18/1(-29%) | (2) Birkenhead 18/1, Not been at best in three starts this year; raced freely beaten 6l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; looks to have a bit to do Has three wins, a second and two thirds to his name in seven runs over C&D; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) ![]() Hurt You Never |
15/2(+53%) | (3) Hurt You Never 15/2, Probably needed race well beaten in a handicap over 6f at Thirsk latest; hasn't been in any sort of form in most recent runs; plenty to find Didn't offer much on her comeback, so others look stronger on today's course debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) ![]() Fortunate Star |
12/1(-50%) | (6) Fortunate Star 12/1, Did not get a clear go at it last time when 1 1/4l behind; unproven on fast ground; generally consistent and down 1lb here; looks a likely contender Unlucky not to go closer behind Kyber Crystal latest; is one of the likelier winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) ![]() Let's Go Hugo |
7/1(+13%) | (5) Let's Go Hugo 7/1, Ran well last time, making up ground from the back on first start since November; can come on for that and should be competitive here Consistent, made a pleasing comeback and is fairly treated, so has to be considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) ![]() Kyber Crystal |
14/1(-155%) | (8) Kyber Crystal 14/1, Game when landing a handicap by a short-head off 54 at Musselburgh last time ahead of Fortunate Star; likely to be there at the business end Likes Musselburgh and duly won there on her comeback; needs a bit more again upped 3lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) ![]() Ifonlytheycudtalk |
10/1(+17%) | (12) Ifonlytheycudtalk 10/1, Yard won this last year; did not get a clear run beaten 8l in a handicap at Pontefract last time; usually consistent and can get involved down 1lb Better than able to show on his comeback and is another to consider in an open handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) ![]() Refuge |
14/1(+44%) | (7) Refuge 14/1, A winner in July off 58 (58 today); hasn't shown much since then; others are more reliable On his last successful mark but might just need this at his age after seven months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) ![]() Glory Fighter |
10/3(+17%) | (1) Glory Fighter 10/3, Ran to form beaten 2 1/4l off 66 at Doncaster last time when returning to turf; down 1lb here and has a good chance down in class Has plenty of near-misses here to go with a C&D win and is on a career-low mark; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) ![]() Langholm |
20/1(+0%) | (9) Langholm 20/1, Was back from a long break last time, so may have needed it; enjoys making it and seems to love Catterick; down in trip Does a lot of racing now at 7f and hasn't run over this trip since his 2yo debut; outsider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (13) ![]() Golden Prosperity |
33/1(-32%) | (13) Golden Prosperity 33/1, Below par beaten 6l in a handicap here last time where Jamie's Choice was 6l ahead; a bit to find Hasn't been in much form but the cheekpieces returning should help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) ![]() Dash Gordon |
22/1(-120%) | (11) Dash Gordon 22/1, No wins on turf yet; not totally reliable Dual Tapeta winner who can pull hard and often hangs left; is far from without risk. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) ![]() Crocodile Power |
22/1(-38%) | (4) Crocodile Power 22/1, May have needed the run last time when distant last; usually consistent; unproven on fast ground; bit to find 3-5 here but whether they'll come back to him over 5f (stays 7f well) is the question. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (10) ![]() Jamie's Choice |
9/2(0%) | (10) Jamie's Choice 9/2, Ran to form beaten a head off 53 here last time; that was behind Stroxx, who was just behind Kyber Crystal on start before; chance Close to career-best effort on her C&D comeback; this is tougher from a wide stall though. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Kyber Crystal made a winning return to action at Musselburgh earlier in the month and commands plenty of respect off a 3lb higher mark. The form was given a quick boost by the runner-up winning here the following week but the second from that more recent contest, JAMIE'S CHOICE, is fancied to go one better. Tracy Waggott's mare only went up 1lb for that display and a similar effort may suffice. Others to note are Glory Fighter and Let's Go Hugo.
Paul Midgley holds a strong hand, with GLORY FIGHTER, who's on a career-low mark, preferred to C&D specialist Birkenhead.

1st (7) ![]() Military Girl |
7/2(+56%) | (7) Military Girl 7/2, Raced too freely at Musselburgh last time; returns today from long layoff; has stall 1; can find some improvement Best judged on her closing nursery third off 2lb higher; will need to improve on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) ![]() Lucius Aurelius |
2/1(+50%) | (9) Lucius Aurelius 2/1, Unproven at the trip; ran up to form last time; can contend Plenty of toe in two runs back over 6f since being gelded; won't be any excuses this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) ![]() I'm Next |
7/1(-8%) | (6) I'm Next 7/1, Looked to have a bit in hand landing a handicap by 2l off 66 at Nottingham last time ahead of Jm Jhingree in second; up 6lbs today; unproven on fast ground; contender Handled heavy ground well on his final run last year; remains lightly raced upped 6lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) ![]() Indy's Angel |
40/1(-60%) | (10) Indy's Angel 40/1, Struggled under a penalty on last start; back to 5f today; likely has a bit to find on return from long break 3lb higher back from seven months out; not certain to be suited by the drop to an easy 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) ![]() Jm Jhingree |
12/1(-41%) | (1) Jm Jhingree 12/1, Suited by the testing ground beaten 2l off 74 at Nottingham last time; first time hood and first start for new trainer; ground would have to be a bit of a concern Plenty of rain would suit on last year's evidence and make his wide stall less of an issue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) ![]() Tees Aggregates |
5/1(-67%) | (8) Tees Aggregates 5/1, Ran to form beaten a head off 65 here last time; has a chance with conditions to suit Gelded over the winter; solid comeback from the same stall on his C&D return; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) ![]() Commander Atkinson |
9/2(+72%) | (5) Commander Atkinson 9/2, Well below par last time; in good form prior; cheekpieces first time; ground may be a bit quick today Not seen since poor one on Tapeta in December (never travelled); first-time headgear today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) ![]() Rock N Roll Rocket |
16/1(-60%) | (3) Rock N Roll Rocket 16/1, A couple of good efforts in last four starts; ran to form last time; down to 5f today; should be in the mix Trainer currently 3-13 with 3yos here; interesting to see how he goes in the market. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
TEES AGGREGATES bounced back from a couple of below-par efforts at the end of the last campaign when runner-up over C&D a fortnight ago and Adrian Nicholls' gelding may well take advantage on this occasion, especially with the majority of the line-up returning from a break. Military Girl won here on her second start last May and remains open to improvement, while J Street and Beaujolais Nouveau appear best of the remainder.
Only two of these have run recently and LUCIUS AURELIUS (nap) has plenty in his favour returned to 5f. Tees Aggregates is next best.

1st (7) ![]() Tralee Girl |
3/1(-60%) | (7) Tralee Girl 3/1, Has run well on first two starts; looked in need of further and goes up in trip today; the one to side with Two good runs in maidens on AW as 2yo; this stiffer test seems sure to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Belgravian |
5/4(+55%) | (2) Belgravian 5/4, Just the two starts; was well-backed last time, but failed to fire; if improving today, he can run into a place Beaten favourite both starts but evidently felt capable of better; right up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() Brave Emerald |
66/1(-136%) | (4) Brave Emerald 66/1, Well beaten in a novice over 10f at Redcar only start; top course trainer; up in trip and hard to recommend Step up in trip can suit but was beaten a long way on Redcar debut this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) ![]() Not Now Nathaniel |
4/1(+27%) | (1) Not Now Nathaniel 4/1, First start on the flat today; probably needed last start over hurdles; down in trip; market can guide Bumper/dual hurdle winner but below par latest and may be one for handicaps later. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) ![]() Doddington Guy |
15/2(+17%) | (6) Doddington Guy 15/2, Plugged on for third when beaten 10l in a maiden at Wolverhampton debut; may improve and hit the frame Big price and well off the front pair on AW debut; entitled to improve but needs to. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) ![]() Dubaian |
14/1(-27%) | (3) Dubaian 14/1, 8,000 euros Wooded gelding; dam smart at 12f; see what the market signals are Sold for 8,000euros in February; stamina in pedigree; market can guide. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Having let down favourite-backers on both starts to date, BELGRAVIAN is expected to benefit from stepping up in trip in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Tralee Girl is bred to stay well and has to enter the reckoning based on her placed efforts at Wolverhampton. Newcomers Cayman Dancer and Dubaian can fight it out for the minor honours.
Maybe the step up in trip will prove the answer for Belgravian but the concession of weight to TRALEE GIRL might prove beyond him.

1st (1) ![]() Troia |
5/6(+33%) | (1) Troia 5/6, Tried in a Group 3 after a good debut win; could only manage 5l fourth there; right back down in class today and looks the strongest contender Newbury winner last summer and fourth in a Newmarket Group 3; back in much calmer waters. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Magna Grecia Star |
5/4(-37%) | (2) Magna Grecia Star 5/4, Bolted up by 5l after shaping well on debut; ought to go close Built on an encouraging debut when an easy winner at Wolverhampton last month; turf debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) ![]() Marsh Meadow |
14/1(+13%) | (3) Marsh Meadow 14/1, 22,000gns Raven's Pass filly; half-sister to Conversant, fair at 6f; dam useful at 7f; yard in good form Stable has the occasional winning newcomer, but this looks a tough starting point. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) ![]() Invincible Ruby |
50/1(-25%) | (4) Invincible Ruby 50/1, 8,000 euros Invincible Army filly; half-sister to Danni California, very useful at 16f; half-sister to Che Bella, useful at 10f; dam poor at 10f Stable has few winning newcomers and this looks a daunting task in any case. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
TROIA won a decent-looking maiden at Newbury last summer and was then held on to until pitched into the Oh So Sharp at Newmarket in October. A respectable fourth in that Group 3, Ed Walker's Kingman filly has bags of scope and dropping back down in class provides an ideal platform for a confidence-boosting return. Magna Grecia Star eclipsed her promising Kempton debut with a facile success at Wolverhampton last month. Switching to turf, she is feared more than the newcomers Marsh Meadow and Invincible Ruby.
Magna Grecia Star remains promising but she may find TROIA a touch too classy with that filly having run well in Group 3 company.

1st (4) ![]() Capital Guarantee |
9/4(+50%) | (4) Capital Guarantee 9/4, 7.5f was possibly a touch too far last time; back to 7f today; has had wind surgery since last run in September; a possible contender Potentially well handicapped if wind surgery since last seen seven months ago has helped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) ![]() Leap Day |
16/1(+36%) | (8) Leap Day 16/1, Pretty easy to discount; form last season was not very good Returns from ten months off today; has been dropped 4lb in the interim; bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) ![]() Jenni |
11/1(+31%) | (7) Jenni 11/1, Generally out of form and below par last time; hard to recommend Well held for her new yard, having been picked up for 7,000gns, at Doncaster last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) ![]() Outrun The Storm |
5/1(+58%) | (5) Outrun The Storm 5/1, Well below par last time; has better form prior to that; one to consider for the places Often makes the running and is drawn to attack in stall 3; has been patchy at best lately. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) ![]() Misemerald |
28/1(-40%) | (9) Misemerald 28/1, Unlikely to be good enough to take this based on last season's form Want to see some support before considering her on this return from over six months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) ![]() Another Baar |
5/1(-43%) | (6) Another Baar 5/1, Possible that he didn't last home over this trip last time and that tempers enthusiasm a bit; does have form that entitles him to be competitive though; comes here race fit; probably the one to be with Stamina looked to give way on his 7f Leicester comeback; today's easier course will help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) ![]() Speeding Bullet |
18/1(-50%) | (3) Speeding Bullet 18/1, Not up to form last time; back from 6 month break; unproven on fast ground Hard to place last year before being sold for 11,000gns; an easy 7f looks a bare minimum. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) ![]() Petra Celera |
5/1(+55%) | (10) Petra Celera 5/1, Down the field last time; usually more consistent No better back on turf at Doncaster last month and is some way down the pecking order. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) ![]() Animate |
8/1(-300%) | (2) Animate 8/1, Slightly hampered last time when likely needing the run; up to 6f and needs to show this ground is alright Pleasing comeback here a fortnight ago and won't mind going back up to 7f; considered. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ANOTHER BAAR is back on a nice mark and appeals strongly after making up for a slow start with an eyecatching finish over this trip on his seasonal return at Leicester. Animate struck over 6f here last June and, equally effective over this trip, he could be on the premises if he copes with being drawn widest of all. Capital Guarantee has fared better on that score and is another to bear in mind on his first start back after wind surgery.
All eyes will be on last year's winner RED MIRAGE as he bids to take his first-time-out record to 5-6. Another Baar is next best.

1st (2) ![]() An Bradan Feasa |
13/8(+59%) | (2) An Bradan Feasa 13/8, Down the field in a maiden over 8f at Kempton last time; only had one flat race on turf; up in trip today Decent 3yo hurdler who's regressed since; interesting to see how he goes in the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) ![]() Stellarmasterpiece |
11/4(-57%) | (3) Stellarmasterpiece 11/4, Landed a handicap by a neck off 57 here last time; twice a winner here over today's trip; the one to side with Made it 2-3 over C&D when seeing off Magnetic North two weeks ago; leading claims up 3lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Magnetic North |
9/2(-80%) | (1) Magnetic North 9/2, Ran to form beaten a neck off 60 here last time after a few runs over hurdles; contender up 2lbs Pushed Stellarmasterpiece hard over C&D two weeks ago; pair are closely matched upped 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) ![]() Sassy Glory |
12/1(+14%) | (7) Sassy Glory 12/1, Down the field in a handicap at Wolverhampton most recent; in good form prior; may not relish fast ground; returning from a break; chance Off for four months since said to have run flat on the AW; consistent enough prior to that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) ![]() Lawmans Blis |
15/2(-36%) | (4) Lawmans Blis 15/2, Flat form looks a little better over a bit further than today's trip; can play a part Returns to the Flat on a workable mark having been running well enough over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) ![]() Rajawail |
200/1(-203%) | (8) Rajawail 200/1, Well held in a maiden over 8f at Southwell last time; out of form; ground possibly a bit on the quick side; not proven over the trip; has to find a bit Poor maiden who finished well beaten the only two occasions she's gone beyond 1m2f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) ![]() Somebodycomegether |
12/1(+40%) | (5) Somebodycomegether 12/1, May have needed it last time; stays well and not completely out of it Switches from cheekpieces to visor now back on turf and returns to 1m4f; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) ![]() Dubai Venture |
33/1(+50%) | (6) Dubai Venture 33/1, Ground probably too testing down the field in a handicap over 10f at Redcar last time; not the most persuasive; up in trip today Beaten a long way in two runs for new connections last October; seems exposed as moderate. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Hurdling didn't work out for STELLARMASTERPIECE, but she showed her appreciation for the return to the level when successful over C&D a fortnight ago and another bold bid is forecast. A 3lb nudge up the ratings looks more than workable for Micky Hammond's mare and she is preferred to reopposing second Magnetic North. The veteran enjoys a 1lb pull with the selection and he isn't taken lightly. Lawmans Blis is also noted reverting to the Flat.
The C&D handicap in which STELLARMASTERPIECE edged out Magnetic North recently may well hold the key.

3/1(+14%) | (5) Sacred Falls 3/1, Slowly away beaten 2l off 68 over C&D last time; last win on turf was from 66; may well come on for last time Favourite for a similar handicap on her C&D comeback a fortnight ago; is one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) ![]() Dream Deal |
4/1(+75%) | (9) Dream Deal 4/1, First start for new trainer; wide trip when beaten 10l in a handicap here last time; may contend Hasn't been seen since last August and goes without the usual headgear for his new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) ![]() Mojomaker |
9/4(+50%) | (3) Mojomaker 9/4, Well backed beaten 2l off 71 at Thirsk last time; not won since 2021; mark is falling and isn't without a chance Regressive but holds claims on his recent third, under Rossa Ryan from the inside stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) ![]() Quercus |
14/1(-56%) | (8) Quercus 14/1, Went a bit too hard last time; enjoys making it; has won over C&D five times; a bit to find Five-time C&D winner who's never achieved a lot on comeback; entitled to need this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) ![]() Protest Rally |
8/1(-129%) | (6) Protest Rally 8/1, Ran to form beaten 1 1/2l off 66 here last time; was just a neck in front of Sacred Falls there; up 1lb and is a threat Solid C&D comeback two weeks ago; his claims are obvious back in the usual cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) ![]() Daytona Lady |
14/1(+0%) | (2) Daytona Lady 14/1, Never threatened last time; possibly needed a slightly clearer run; better form on AW, but has a squeak Has done most winning on the AW and never off a mark this high; held on her comeback here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) ![]() Soul Seeker |
50/1(-809%) | (1) Soul Seeker 50/1, Put it together off this mark when landing a handicap by 3l over 5f at Sandown last time; off since September and is starting for a new stable; a little bit to find High enough in the weights for his new yard and might just need this at his age. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) ![]() Running Cool |
20/1(+0%) | (4) Running Cool 20/1, Out of form last season; has to find a fair bit to be winning this Resumes another 5lb lower but would want to see some support before considering him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) ![]() Twelfth Knight |
12/1(+25%) | (7) Twelfth Knight 12/1, Largely out of form; hard to see him winning this Tumbled down the weights last year before undergoing wind surgery; worth keeping an eye on. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
PROTEST RALLY returned from a 208-day break to finish a good second over track and trip earlier this month. Liam Bailey's gelding makes plenty of appeal racing off just 1lb higher and he looks primed to strike at this level. The biggest threat may emerge from Mojomaker, who reappeared after almost three months off with a respectable third at Thirsk. Market support for stable debutant Soul Seeker would be interesting.
There's little to choose between PROTEST RALLY and Sacred Falls on recent C&D running, with the former just shading it.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
