17:55 Carlisle Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having returned to form when scoring over 5f at Hamilton earlier this month, Giselles Izzy commands respect raised only 1lb for that head success, but a chance can be taken on COUNT D'ORSAY. Tim Easterby's runner has plummeted down the handicap after struggling to beat many rivals home so far this term, but a return to any kind of form would see the eight-year-old go close off a lowly mark of 70 - he won rated 75 last July - with Thomas Easterby claiming a useful 5lb. Burj Malinka is also worthy of consideration.

BURJ MALINKA continues in form and could be the way to go. Willingly and Hamilton winner Giselles Izzy are a couple of the other likely players.

The vote goes to WILLINGLY who is suited by testing ground, is on a fair mark and should have no problem with the return to 5f.

18:25 Carlisle Maiden (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KISS ME MY LOVE made a very pleasing start to her career when she was beaten just more than a length over 5f at Hamilton on her racecourse debut and this looks a good opportunity for Charlie Johnston's charge to go one better. Larchill Lass is feared most after a brace of seconds on her two starts to date at Beverley and a win looks just around the corner for Karl Burke's runner, while her stablemate Party Bear makes most appeal of the newcomers.

KISS ME MY LOVE made a promising start at Hamilton and could be the one to beat with improvement likely. Larchill Lass won't be far away again, while stablemate Party Bear and Final Angel are interesting newcomers.

Preference is for KISS ME MY LOVE who finished well clear of the third when second of five on her Hamilton debut.

18:55 Carlisle Stakes (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having been sent off favourite in Listed company last time, this looks a good opportunity for IT AIN'T TWO to gain some compensation for connections. Hugo Palmer's runner scored on her first taste of racecourse experience over 5f at Newmarket in a race that has thrown up three subsequent winners and she looks set to get back to winning ways. Rex Carver is feared most after a decent second on debut over 6f at Redcar, while Almanjoor heads the remainder.

Newmarket debut winner IT AIN'T TWO wasn't beaten far from a poor draw at York and she can get back on the up with victory. Rex Carver looks the danger being open to improvement from his first run at Redcar when well backed.

This can go to IT AIN'T TWO who had excuses when a beaten favourite in a York Listed contest last time.

19:25 Carlisle Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Blufferonthebus seems likely to prove popular after winning over a furlong shorter here last time out, but she has a 6lb penalty to carry and may struggle to confirm that effort with both the runner-up Oceanic Wonder and third placed JESMOND DAWN. The selection was a beaten favourite when pulling too hard for his own good but he remains open to improvement and is taken to get off the mark.

BLUFFERONTHEBUS was a decisive winner here earlier this month and looks well in under a 6 lb penalty. She can follow up. Infinite Honour and Top Flight Century rate the principal dangers.

Preference is for INFINITE HONOUR who has run well to be placed the last twice despite hanging left. There is stamina in his pedigree.

19:55 Carlisle Stakes (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Haya has a race in her after coming home in the first four on every start, including when second at Windsor last time out, and she can go well in receipt of her sex allowance. GALYX caught the eye with a comfortable success over a mile at Windsor when powering clear on soft ground and there may be more to come. Bebeto might be the best of the Jim Goldie trio and could be booked for third.

This can go to GALYX, who opened his account in good style at Windsor earlier this month and remains with potential. Haya looks the obvious danger on form, whilst positive market vibes for fairly-useful bumper winner Bolton on his return to action could prove significant.

This may become a straight fight between GALYX and Haya. The former is given the nod as he may be open to more improvement.

20:25 Carlisle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MAMBHA was beaten only a neck upped to 7f for the first time at Redcar on her handicap debut. She looks up to winning off her current mark if proving as effective on this soft ground. Kode Secret also found one too good at the same Redcar meeting as the selection and should be in the mix once again, while Calafrio will be sharper for a recent comeback run at Ripon and makes more appeal than Grid Iron Maiden.

KODE SECRET and Mambha were runner-up in the 2 divisions of the 7f 3-y-o handicap at Redcar last week and looks the pair to focus on, with both due to go up 2 lb from the weekend. The former is narrowly preferred.

Mambha and KODE SECRET finished runner-up at Redcar ten days ago, but the latter may cope better with the forecast soft ground.

20:55 Carlisle Handicap (Class 6) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The withdrawal of Federated has made VAMPIRE SLAYER's task a bit easier and Daragh Bourke's four-year-old can build on his Catterick second to get off the mark. Bella Bluesky began 2024 in fine form on the all-weather and is a lively threat if she can translate that to turf. Sonning is gradually working his way back into form and was ahead of Star Start when third at Ripon.

VAMPIRE SLAYER split next-time-out winners when runner-up at Catterick last month so looks well treated off only 1 lb higher. Bella Bluesky and Federated arrive in good form from AW and head the dangers in a competitive finale.

This can go to VAMPIRE SLAYER (nap) who seemed to appreciate the stiffer test when second over 1m4f on soft ground at Catterick.
