14:20 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 6f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Realised has made the frame on each of her last two starts in this grade and she should remain competitive off an unchanged rating. However, the vote goes to LOCHABER, who flopped when finishing ninth at Southwell on his latest outing, but he filled the runner-up spot at Chepstow prior to that effort. Scott Dixon's three-year-old returns to turf and could go close off a 1lb lower rating. Of the remainder, Bear To Dream makes the most appeal.

BEAR TO DREAM could be the way to go if she can bounce back to anything like the form of last month's C&D win. Realised could pose a threat if fully primed after a break, while Muy Muy Guapo is also handicapped to get involved.

Unlucky not to finish a bit closer to the target at Salisbury on Friday, THUNDEROUS LOVE might win this in first-time cheekpieces.

14:50 Brighton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This may turn into a procession for USUARIO AMIGO, who sets a lofty standard in this contest with a rating of 86. The son of Oasis Dream hit the crossbar in a handicap at Newmarket two starts ago and provided he can put his latest underwhelming display at York behind him, James Owen's gelding looks difficult to oppose. Rating sported first-time cheekpieces when failing to land a blow at Newbury last time, but he could get closer stepping back into maiden company. Borealis Thunder can pick up any pieces.

It isn't too hard to forgive USUARIO AMIGO his run in a strong York Ebor handicap last month and this essentially looks a gilt-edged opportunity for him to get off the mark. Rating will give him most to do if anywhere near her best.

This ought to be straightforward for USUARIO AMIGO, who ran to a useful level when going close in a Newmarket handicap last month.

15:20 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Gallimimus beat Long Call is a gutsy display over track and trip earlier in the month and it would be no surprise to see him confirm that form in order to have a say. However, it may pay to side with BEAUTIFUL SURPRISE, who showed improved form in first-time blinkers over a mile here last time and she goes off an unchanged mark. If she can settle better and see out this longer trip, she could be the one to beat. Fighting Poet is another to consider.

The veteran LONG CALL is taken to turn around recent C&D placings with Gallimimus and land a second C&D success 5 years after the first. John Gallagher's charge can give him most to do ahead of Fighting Poet, who has been in good form over 1½m here lately.

In good form over 1m4f here recently, FIGHTING POET benefits from Sean D Bowen's very useful 3lb claim today and gets the nod.

15:50 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Hat-trick seeker SAINT RIQUIER is difficult to oppose on the back of a near 10-length success in an apprentice contest at Leicester last week and, from the same mark, is a strong fancy to extend the winning run. Laser Focus is a threat to the selection with the handicapper giving him a chance after his fourth at Leicester, although Torbellino went down fighting over C&D on her most recent start and commands respect on the face value of that latest effort.

A race which to a large degree revolves around SAINT RIQUIER, who will surely complete a hat-trick if in anything the same form as when bolting up off the same mark at Leicester last week. Torbellino and Laser Focus can fight it out for minor honours.

Falsetto is interesting on her handicap debut but it's hard to make a case against the unpenalised SAINT RIQUIER.

16:20 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A C&D winner on his penultimate start, WALEYFA seems to have been revitalised by a a recent switch in stables and, after a near miss on Southwell last month, the Kublers' mare is an attractive proposition back at this venue from a still workable mark. In-form pair Interestnpenalties and Romanovich can make sure this isn't a cakewalk for the selection, with the former suggested as the chief threat based on his potential to improve over this trip.

The thriving WALEYFA is narrowly preferred to fellow C&D scorer Romanovich, who arrives on the back of a win in a big field at Chepstow 3 weeks ago. Low-mileage 3-y-o Sorontar is another who could go well.

In a competitive race for the grade the suggestion is WALEYFA (nap), who was an emphatic C&D winner on last month's stable debut.

16:50 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Otago showed a likeable attitude when scoring gamely over C&D last week and a 4lb penalty doesn't discount another bold bid from Jim Boyle's charge. That said, preference is for the hat-trick seeking SPLIT ELEVENS. The C&D winner impressed with how he went about his business when scoring narrowly over 7f at Lingfield recently, and he gets the vote to shoulder a 4lb rise returning to the turf. Poetic Force is also noteworthy.

The thriving SPLIT ELEVENS can make it 5 wins in his last 6 starts. Forgotten Treasure and Otago can give John Butler's charge most to think about.

Six-race maiden ASH WEDNESDAY was keeping on well at the end of 5.7f two starts ago and may have some improvement to come over 7f.

17:20 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 5f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ALFRED COVE found only one rival too good when going down narrowly over 6f here earlier this month and, off an unchanged mark sporting cheekpieces for the first time, the son of Ardad looks the one to side with. Bluebells Boy scored with the minimum of fuss over 6f at Lingfield last week and he appears to be the main danger to the selection, despite carrying a 5lb penalty, while Tilsworth Ony Ta completes the shortlist off just 2lb higher than his last winning mark.

ALFRED COVE has Hollie Doyle doing the steering again and can prove too strong for last week's Lingfield 1-2 Bluebells Boy and Don't Fight It in this finale.

Bluebells Boy produced a good performance on Polytrack last week but the runner-up DON'T FIGHT IT might turn the tables here.
