1st (2) ![]() Rogue Bullet |
10/3(-11%) | (2) Rogue Bullet 10/3, Not clear run beaten 1 1/2l in a nursery at Wolverhampton last time where well back; returning from a break; most exposed of field but pick of form suggests should be bang there Surprising to see the cheekpieces back on but has good form claims at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) ![]() Gennadius |
15/8(+32%) | (4) Gennadius 15/8, Ran to similar level as debut when 5 1/2l third in a maiden over 8f at Bath most recent run; dropped in trip; shows fair pace so 6f may suit, the form pick He's back at 6f but faces weaker opposition than in his first two races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Cables Queen |
3/1(-50%) | (1) Cables Queen 3/1, Runner-up beaten 5l in a novice over 7f at Leicester only start; returning from long layoff; back in trip; should come on for last year's experience but may need the run Second on last summer's debut; 4yo filly having to concede weight to younger males. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) ![]() The Hrse Horse |
7/2(+0%) | (3) The Hrse Horse 7/2, Had benefited for debut experience 1 1/4l third in a maiden over 7f at Lingfield most recent run; trainer in form; back in trip; turf debut; big threat Ran a lot better from the front at Lingfield, going down by just over a length. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) ![]() Repo Depo |
33/1(+18%) | (5) Repo Depo 33/1, Well beaten in a maiden over 5f at Southwell only start; up in trip; will need marked improvement to get involved, difficult to fancy Beaten a long way over 5f at Southwell a month ago and risky for now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
THE HRSE HORSE improved from first to second start when a highly promising third from the front over 7f at Lingfield last month. The drop in trip looks like a perfect move for Jamie Osborne's charge. He gets the vote ahead of Cables Queen on her first start for the James Owen team and Gennadius, who ran well for a long way before weakening late in the piece over 1m at Bath recently.
The drop back to 6f might not hurt GENNADIUS who has displayed a fair amount of speed in two 1m maidens won by smart prospects.

40/1(-21%) | (8) Blossom In The Air 40/1, 30 Mar; Land Force filly; full-sister to Daisy Inthe Breeze, useful at 5f; dam useful at 5f; the filly's sister won on 2yo debut at this track over extended 5f last season, could go well Has plenty of speed in pedigree and yard was 2-3 with 2yos here last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) ![]() Akabusi |
50/1(-100%) | (2) Akabusi 50/1, 18 May; 32,000gns Mohaather colt; half-brother to Favourite Child, very smart at 5f; dam very useful at 6f at 2yo; may just need this debut run 32,000gns yearling; has fair target to aim at and could be one for further down the line. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) ![]() The Boreham Bullet |
50/1(-79%) | (7) The Boreham Bullet 50/1, Beaten 10l in in the Brocklesby at Doncaster on debut; more needed but showed some early pace in that Class 2 event and takes a significant class drop here Weak 12-1 shot and he ran green before finishing 13th of 17 in the Brocklesby. |

|U| (1) ![]() A'ali G |
22/1(+12%) | (1) A'ali G 22/1, 16 Feb; 8,000gns A'Ali colt; dam fair at 6f; cheaply bought but a speedily bred colt; others make more appeal Makes some appeal on paper and he needs checking in market on debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Runner-up to what looked a smart sort from Amo Racing on debut at Wolverhampton recently, KESTA sets the standard on the back of that and he can go one better for connections that have an excellent record at this venue. A well-related sort by Cotai Glory, Buenos Dias looks capable of being in the shake-up first time out, along with Alkuwarrior, who went close at Leicester last week and should appreciate an extra half-furlong in distance.
Alkuwarrior was a much-improved second at Leicester but slight preference is for KESTA who made a promising start at Wolverhampton.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (13) ![]() Don't Fight It |
25/1(0%) | (13) Don't Fight It 25/1, Below par beaten 7l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; out of form on the AW but turf form is superior; likes fast ground; return to these conditions could revive fortunes, interesting On workable mark but her form is up and down and both wins were as a 2yo. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) ![]() Fast Flo |
11/1(-10%) | (11) Fast Flo 11/1, Raced freely beaten 2l off 46 over 7f at Yarmouth last time; back down in trip a positive; handles conditions; the pick of recent Classified form offers every hope 0-35 but she's had some close calls this year and has possibilities back in trip. |

8/1(-7%) | (9) Bear To Dream 8/1, Not clear run fourth beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 7f at Lingfield latest but lost a shoe; CD winner; value selection based on balance of form Not easy to predict but last win was over C&D and she's well treated on that form. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) ![]() Shalaa Asker |
11/1(+8%) | (7) Shalaa Asker 11/1, Raced freely beaten 3l off 57 at Kempton last time; handles fast ground; significant jockey booking; off a short-break; regressing and no sign of revival despite sliding mark Six-time AW winner but he's 1-27 on turf and last win was in June 2023; tongue-tie back on. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
A tentative vote goes to FAST FLO, who caught the eye on her return to turf when going from the front and eventually finishing third over further at Yarmouth last week. Dropping back in trip looks ideal and she may be able to finally get off the mark. Course winner Notre Maison looks best placed to chase her home following a creditable effort at Wolverhampton last time out. Tilsworth Ony Ta and Time Patrol have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.
This looks tricky but TIME PATROL gets the vote ahead of Fast Flo and Tilsworth Ony Ta.

6/1(+25%) | (8) Annexation 6/1, Not clear run beaten 3l off 68 over 10f at Doncaster last time back on turf; top course trainer; not proven trip; possibly prefer bit of cut but can build on turf reappearance, go close Six-time winner in Ireland; still to conclusively prove he wants this far on the Flat. |

4/1(-33%) | (3) Carnival Day 4/1, Well backed second beaten 8 1/2l in a handicap over 10f at Bath latest in October; unproven on fast ground; seemed to stay only try at 1m4f; probably prefer flatter track but contender Improved steadily through last year; one for the shortlist if returning in the same form. |

12/1(+64%) | (7) Early Morning Dew 12/1, Slowly away beaten 3l off 70 at Wolverhampton last time; usually held up; generally consistent on AW of late; has handled fast ground; stays 1m4f; in the mix 3-33 but running with credit lately; bit more is needed in order to defy this mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) ![]() Pyrotechnic |
9/2(+59%) | (5) Pyrotechnic 9/2, Fourth beaten 4l in a novice over 11f at Southwell latest when back on Flat after decent spell hurdling; tongue-tie first time; unproven on fast ground; more to come, threat Won on the Flat in France as a 4yo; worth a market check on Flat handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Carnival Day is a course winner who was last seen filling the runner-up spot at Bath, so he has to be considered on his return to action. However, the vote goes to LEXINGTON KNIGHT, who could never lay a glove on the winner when second at Southwell last time, but lurks on an appealing mark. The seven-year-old struck over C&D off a 5lb higher rating last August and looks well placed to regain the winning thread. Macari completes the shortlist.
The vote goes to LEXINGTON KNIGHT (nap) who is 5lb lower than when winning over C&D on fast ground last summer.

11/4(+17%) | (1) Seraphic 11/4, Arguably not the best ride beaten a neck off 88 over 2m at Hereford last time; trainer in form; in good form on Flat before two hurdles runs; handles conditions; major player Went close over hurdles last month; fair Flat mark but has no course experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(+44%) | (9) Rivas Rob Roy 14/1, Not clear run down the field in a classified race over 9f at Wolverhampton most recent; bits and pieces of form especially here offers hope; must bounce back over trip that stretches Six-time course winner but had his disappointments here last year. |

9/1(-100%) | (3) Khangai 9/1, Scored by 1/2l off 55 over 12f at Wolverhampton three starts back; fourth beaten 3l off 57 last time; probably more effective on AW but handles quick turf; contender Consistent on AW; may want further and this track poses a new challenge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

13/2(+7%) | (4) Sawgrass 13/2, Looked to want further down the field in a maiden over 7f at Chelmsford most recent; up in trip a positive; unproven on fast ground; bit to prove on handicap debut Poor so far but a well-bred filly who could easily progress now into handicaps. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Luna Effect hit the crossbar in this class over 1m4f at Lingfield in January and has to be respected off the same mark, but this drop in trip is a slight concern. With that in mind, FORMAL ADDRESS gets the vote. Brett Johnson's four-year-old made the frame at Lingfield in February and the assessor kindly left his mark alone for that effort. With a repeat, he could be the one to beat. Seraphic is another to keep an eye on.
Sawgrass is the dark horse but FORMAL ADDRESS was perhaps unlucky not to have gone really close on his handicap debut.

2nd (3) ![]() Shaw Park |
11/4(+21%) | (3) Shaw Park 11/4, Scored by a neck off 65 over 7f at Southwell penultimate start; sixth beaten 3l off 70 last time; goes well here (three time winner over 7f); stays 1m; threat Triple course winner who scored at Southwell on penultimate run; in the mix back on turf. |

4th (2) ![]() Sunny Corner |
16/5(+36%) | (2) Sunny Corner 16/5, Beaten 8l in a handicap over 9f at Epsom last time; may need the run; trip and ground suit; in the mix Returns after 212 days off and has some work to do on his first run at this track. |

5th (4) ![]() Otago |
16/1(-300%) | (4) Otago 16/1, Landed handicap by 2 1/4l off 60 over 7f here last time; up in trip, probably not in favour; contender but may need the run and 1m stretches stamina Ended last season with clearcut win at this track; respected back up in trip on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) ![]() Marsh Benham |
9/1(-38%) | (1) Marsh Benham 9/1, Appeared not to stay beaten 8 1/2l in a handicap over 9f at Newmarket last time; back down in trip a plus; multiple CD winner; handles fast ground; may need the run but not out of it Triple C&D winner but his last three wins have come on softer ground in the autumn. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Otago made it two wins out of his last three starts at this track when last seen in October, but with both of those victories coming on soft ground, it may open the door for BLENHEIM STAR. William Knight's filly lost two places inside the last furlong to finish fourth at Yarmouth in September and she might take advantage of a 2lb lower rating for that performance. Marsh Benham is another to watch out for.
Jim Boyle's OTAGO ended last season with a clearcut win at this track and is a big player if he can pick up where he left off.

11/2(+21%) | (2) Flying Star 11/2, Slowly away beaten 10l in a handicap over 7f at Wolverhampton last time; in good form prior; up in trip; struggled since handicapping but close to finding level before latest flop 0-9; needs to put a lesser effort last time behind her and may not want as far as this. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Although LIGHT UP OUR STARS was a little underwhelming when finishing fifth at Southwell 15 days ago, a switch to turf may perk him up. The veteran is effectively 6lb lower if taking Jordan Williams' 5lb claim into account and this contest looks ripe for the taking. The biggest threat may emerge from Boujee Gold, who is only 2lb higher than her Wolverhampton triumph in December last year. Flying Star is the pick of the remainder.
This can go to LIGHT UP OUR STARS who has shown he can handle fast ground and drops into a 0-55 for the first time.

Reverting to 1m saw a return to form from EMBARKED when finishing second in a 15-runner affair at Yarmouth seven days ago. A 2lb rise looks far from insurmountable for Scott Dixon's inmate and compensation could be on the horizon. Comedian Leader has posted several creditable efforts in defeat on the all-weather of late and she warrants consideration on this switch to turf, ahead of seasonal debutant Havana Mojito.
The choice is HELLAVAPACE who is back off the same mark as when winning over C&D on fast ground last September.
Ths is the racecard key.
