100/1(+33%) | (7) Orange Avenue 100/1, Refused to race in maiden at Dundalk (7f, 100/1) on return 12 days ago. Poor initially; signs of being in season when refusing to take part on the AW. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
COUL DREAMER was a market springer ahead of his debut at Gowran Park and ran creditably in a staying-on third. On breeding, he should handle this slower ground. Lucky Melody contested decent maidens at Leopardstown and the Curragh with a best finish of fourth at the former. It is not hard to see her involved in this contest. The 78-rated Miss Tapley regressed when unplaced on her third appearance in Gowran Park, but she has her chance on previous placed efforts at Galway and Gowran Park. My Little Lady showed significant improvement on her second start when chasing home the winner at Cork last month, while Genoah and Kelbelle cannot be ruled out.
COUL DREAMER made a promising start at Gowran and could be the way to go ahead of barrier trial winner Kelbelle, who shaped well at Naas, and My Little Lady, who wasn't beaten far in a useful contest at Cork.
If the forecast is right then COUL DREAMER will encounter slower conditions than at Gowran but that was a very likeable start.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (28/1 +15%) Mulgrave |
28/1(+15%) | (7) Mulgrave 28/1, Eleventh of 13 in handicap at Down Royal (7f, good, 16/1) 67 days ago. Very hard to make a case for on form this season. All six wins have come on AW; not nearly as effective on turf even off a lower mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (11/1 +31%) Monzoon |

16/1(-60%) | (6) Eurielle 16/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Fourteenth of 18 in handicap (16/1) at Fairyhouse (6.1f, good to soft) 89 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Some decent maiden runs; hampered when well beaten on h'cap debut and is better than that. |

22/1(-38%) | (5) Chestnutter 22/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. 25/1, sixteenth of 17 in handicap at Leopardstown (7.2f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Won back-to-back handicaps last year off higher marks; poor in two starts for this yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Rory Mulligan's 7lb claim came to the fore on PASCALIA who showed up well in a dead-heat for fourth in a massive field at the Curragh. The horse that got up to share fourth with her came out and won a handicap at Killarney last Friday. The Bog Bank absolutely loves Bellewstown and has to be feared with Alyse Jane Clarke taking 10lb off her back. The pair combined to win over C&D in July. Selective Power cruised home at Naas which didn't go unnoticed by the handicapper who has hit him with a stone. If he is in the same mood, though, he would be hard to contain. Roman Harry and Comfort Line are others with chances.
VIVA VOCE has done better with his sights lowered of late and could be set to get off the mark on these shores. The Bog Bank goes well here and looks ready for another big run. Pascalia and Roman Harry are also on the shortlist.
A standing dish here, THE BOG BANK (nap) has twice run well on the AW since winning over C&D and is well drawn so can score again.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Second-reserve Arch Enemy would be threatening if getting a run as she stayed on for second in a much higher grade at Leopardstown last Thursday. Jamie Powell has a good record aboard prominent-racer SMAOINEAMH SILE as he has steered her to her last couple of victories. The pair couldn't quite hold on over further in Leopardstown, but that runner-up berth was still a decent effort. Blue Wood is capable off his mark and first-time cheekpieces might eke out a bit more from him, while Cousin Shay is unexposed on turf having been extensively campaigned on the Polytrack at Dundalk. Pimstrel made a promising start to life with George Kingston when second behind an easy winner in Naas.
SMAOINEAMH SILE was just about better than ever when second at Leopardstown 3 weeks ago and eased 1 lb, a very bold bid looks on the cards. Blue Wood also arrives in good order, while Cherry Pink is a potential improver having not been with his yard long.
Winner of a division of this race last year, SMAOINEAMH SILE has been in mostly good form this year and can score again.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (15) (80/1 -142%) Your Day To Shine |
80/1(-142%) | (15) Your Day To Shine 80/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Eleventh of 13 in handicap at Tipperary (5f, good to firm, 25/1) 18 days ago. Significantly back up in trip. Easy to look elsewhere. Minor maiden form and failed to raise his profile on handicap debut (25-1). |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A tricky race. Willie McCreery runs two horses with Billy Lee on BELLA COLOMBIA. This filly has competed at higher levels and it may have been the heavy ground that caught her out when fourth in this grade at Roscommon. Nans View caught the eye with a runner-up finish posted on handicap debut at Galway. She made sustained headway in the straight and could build upon that. Nakasero delivered in Killarney and wasn't beaten far into third in a valuable Racing League contest in Wolverhampton at the start of the month, while Vierson tries a new trip on her first venture into handicaps and could outrun her odds.
NANS VIEW has few miles on the clock and took a step forward when runner-up at Galway last time, so she's fancied to produce another improved performance to go one better. Nakasero is an obvious threat and Bella Colombia can get involved with the visor refitted.
Again the draw could have been kinder, but NANS VIEW ran a big race on her handicap debut at Galway given the wide trip she endured.

Worth a chance to open her account on the back of an eye-catching first effort. Eyecatching at the Curragh after starting slowly; drops to 5f but seriously considered. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
FIONA MACCOUL was beaten six and a half lengths on debut recently but met in-running trouble. Speedily-bred, she was slowly away at the Curragh and having met traffic, finished well to finish a never nearer fifth behind the easy winner. She should benefit from that run, dropping a furlong in distance and again has a light weight. Keen-going Bobbi Rosa finished second at Cork recently, with the smart winner finishing second at Listed level at York this week. Gazelle D'or is thoroughly dependable and reverts to maiden company having run well enough in the Ballyhane Stakes. Rated 74, she again carries a light weight and has a big advantage from the plum draw here in stall one.
FIONA MACCOUL caught the eye with her finishing effort at the Curragh recently and she can probably improve enough to get the better of Bobbi Rosa, who took a marked step forward at Cork last time out. Gazelle D'Or is the other obvious player.
Jessica Harrington's FIONA MACCOUL was quite an eyecatcher at the Curragh and hopefully she can deal with this sharper test.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
RATHBRANCHURCH is a busy sprinter who is badly drawn in 14 but won over today's course-and-distance in July, narrowly defeating two of today's rivals. The selection was well held on recent runs but has an excellent course record, his rating has recently slipped and is now 1lb better off, each respectively, with July's placed-horses Air Force One and Only Spoofing. Air Force One also has a wide draw in 12 but is open to more progression being a lightly enough raced three-year-old. Hero Of The Hour has a good draw in 3 and while raised 4lb for winning at Naas recently, his same rider is able to claim 3lb today, so has hat-trick prospects.
AIR FORCE ONE looked an unlucky loser here last time and can gain compensation now. Hero of The Hour is an improved performer since returning to turf and rates an obvious danger. Transcendental and the selection's stablemate Heart of Darkness complete the shortlist.
Heart Of Darkness is interesting but Billy Lee seemingly prefers the chance of stablemate AIR FORCE ONE who is progressing.

7th (4) (10/3 +17%) Realt Na Ri |
10/3(+17%) | (4) Realt Na Ri 10/3, Lightly-raced filly. 4½ lengths fourth of 7 to The Euphrates in listed race at Gowran (12.2f, good, 40/1) 31 days ago. Progressing well recently. Considered. Fourth in a Gowran Listed event; has a bit to find with Rubies Are Red but is a player. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MARKET TIMING should benefit from last month's promising debut here. Bred for middle-to-long distances, she was outpaced four furlongs out but finished nicely, with the winner subsequently finishing fourth at Group 3 level and the runner-up scoring at Galway. Regally bred Rubies Are Red notably narrowly failed to catch subsequent Irish Oaks winner You Got To Me in a Lingfield Listed race in May but has disappointed in three top races since. Rated 97, she was nonetheless well held in the English Oaks and Ribblesdale and weakened very tamely having led in the Irish Oaks, and now runs in first-time blinkers. Sissi finished second to a subsequently Group-placed winner at Killarney, where the third horse won subsequently, and should compete.
RUBIES ARE RED has far less on her plate here so Aidan O'Brien's filly is fancied to get off the mark at the chief expense of the improving Realt Na Ri. Market Timing and Ob La Di appeal as the pick of the rest for minor honours.
Rated 97, RUBIES ARE RED should be winning this but she will need to be close to her best.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Frankel gelding BALTIC BIRD is forgiven his recent Galway hurdling disappointment as he had previously run very well in a prestigious race at that festival five days earlier. He finished fourth to one Extensio at Fairyhouse in July and being a strong stayer, is well suited by this distance. Royal Eagle finished third over hurdles at the Galway festival and again ran well on the flat at Tramore recently. She also stays well and today's different rider again claims 7lb but doesn't appear ahead of the handicapper. Reina Del Mar could be suited by trying this extreme flat distance for the first time and today's rider claims 5lb.
Lots with chances but Gordon Elliott looks to have a strong hand and his ROYAL EAGLE gets the vote on the back of a good Tramore third. In-form stablemate Barrier could emerge as the main threat with handily-weighted duo Peckham Springs and Walking On Glass also worthy of respect.
Though disappointing over hurdles at Galway after a cracking runner-up effort in a valuable 2m handicap there, BALTIC BIRD can rebound.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
