17:00 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

VOODOO RAY has won cosily at Brighton the last twice and his latest effort, over 7f, can be upgraded having reportedly lost a shoe. Cutting back in trip shouldn't bother him and he looks the one to beat, despite shouldering a 5lb penalty. My Kind Of Girl was only three-parts of a length behind the selection on her latest outing and is respected, as is Midnight Flame. However, Sisters In The Sky rates the biggest threat following his staying-on third over 5f here.

VOODOO RAY has returned in fine form, landing each of his last 2 starts at Brighton up to 7f, and he's fancied to handle this drop back in trip and make a bold bid to complete the hat-trick under a penalty. Sisters In The Sky and My Kind of Girl are others to consider, whilst Bluebells Boy is another who needs monitoring back on turf.

Having showed he acts around here when keeping on nicely over the bare 5f last week, SISTERS IN THE SKY is the call.

17:35 Bath Maiden (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Spirited Dancer sets the standard on her debut second at Kempton but she was disappointing over 5f here last time. Therefore, it looks best to concentrate on the newcomers, with KARL CARLSTON appealing most. He is a half-brother to a couple of winners and represents connections that enjoy plenty of juvenile success. Tom Dascombe saddled an impressive two-year-old winner at Chester last week and his High On Hope is shortlisted, along with Steamboat and Candy.

This looks destined for one of the newcomers, with several appealing types on show. HIGH ON HOPE is bred to go a bit and he is the suggestion ahead of Karl Carlston and Steamboat, while Candy and Profit Rockit both need a second look in the betting, too.

Without having the betting to guide, newcomers CANDY, High On Hope and Steamboat are nominated in that order of preference.

18:10 Bath Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There is only 3lb splitting Ghaihaban (79) and Painite (76) on official ratings and neither would be a surprise winner here, but a chance is taken on well-bred newcomer ARABIAN ROSE. A 230,000gns purchase as a yearling, she is a half-sister to Listed scorer Grande Dame and it will be disappointing if she is unable to play a leading role in a race of this nature. Miss Kubelik may handle this track better than Newmarket and she cannot be ruled out either.

The superbly-bred IMITATE can be expected to leave the form of her 2-y-o debut well behind and she gets the nod. Newcomer Arabian Rose looks the part on paper and she will be particularly interesting if strong in the betting, while Ghaihaban is likely to be on the premises. The selection's stablemate Islanova, Hey Big Spender and Ravishing Beauty should all improve but Painite's limitations have seemingly been exposed.

Three have fair form and two newcomers must be checked out. However, Stoute-trained ISLANOVA may leave her debut form well behind.

18:40 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HATADORA returned to winning ways over a mile at Windsor a couple of weeks ago and accounted for a subsequent winner in the process. With that in mind, Richard Hannon's filly merits the utmost respect here off just a 3lb higher mark. The switch to handicap company should help More Than A Feelin and she should not be underestimated, while Mbappe and Garden View also make the shortlist.

MBAPPE swooped late to score over 7f at Kempton on his first outing for the Mark Loughnane yard and might be able to defy a 3 lb rise with the step up to 1m likely to suit him. Mark Usher's Garden View is another who should be suited by moving up to 1m and is second choice ahead of Windsor-scorer Hatadora and the unexposed Sunny Corner.

Richard Hannon's HATADORA (nap) pulled clear with a next-time-out winner when scoring at Windsor 16 days ago and can defy a 3lb rise.

19:10 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HILL SPIRIT put in a career best on the Flat when fourth on his handicap debut at Brighton last week and it would be no surprise to see him go well here on the back of that performance. Irezumi has been running creditably in defeat of late and is likely to be in the mix once again, while similar comments apply to My Sand Boy and Dee's Dream.

PAK ARMY scored over C&D on his return to the Flat last season and, having turned in a respectable effort over hurdles at Taunton 3 weeks ago, he's fancied to follow suit this year. Hill Spirit is one of few others to arrive on the back of a creditable effort and he's still unexposed in this sphere, while Hurtle should benefit from the refitting of cheekpieces, so they're both considered.

Hurdle winner HILL SPIRIT shaped better in this code last time and the addition of cheekpieces may be the key to success.

19:40 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BOBBY KENNEDY bumped into a well-handicapped rival when second over this course and distance last month and a reproduction of that level of form could see him go one better here. Asense was back in fourth on that occasion and has to be of some interest as a result. Highland Flyer failed to fire on his seasonal return but it is far too soon to be writing him off.

BOBBY KENNEDY is well capable from this sort of mark and he simply bumped into one when second over C&D on return. That rival has gone in again since, so he's worth a chance to go one better at the possible expense of Asense, who was two places behind the selection that day. Virtual Hug is also considered.

The vote goes to BOBBY KENNEDY, who's run some of his best races here in the spring, including on his comeback. Asense is next best.

20:10 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

OUR PAPA SMURF (second) finished ahead of Makuri (third) when returning at Brighton at the end of last month and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the former uphold that form, especially given the latter already had a run under her belt on the all-weather. By Farhh The Best has shown some promise in three runs to date and stepping up in trip may yield a considerable amount of improvement now entering handicap company.

Preference is for RASMAH, who looks to be being brought along gradually and Archie Watson's filly can build on her recent handicap/turf debut sixth at Brighton just over a fortnight ago at the expense of Our Papa Smurf, who ran his best race returning from 6 months off when finishing runner-up in that same contest. Thrilling Dream and Magic Rascal are both surely capable of more than they've shown so far, and they round off the shortlist.

This can go to OUR PAPA SMURF, who had four of these behind at Brighton and can defy a 3lb rise.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GRAFFITI has enjoyed a consistent spell on the all-weather during the winter months and the five-year-old, who won on turf at Nottingham last June, appears to have been found a solid opportunity to get his head back in front. Golden Phase's sole victory came here in August and she may benefit from stepping up in trip after running well enough on her seasonal reappearance here. Others for the shortlist include The Bay Warrior and Showy.

Plenty in with a shout in the finale, including GOLDEN PHASE who ought to strip fitter for her return over 1m here 26 days ago and she remains unexposed at this sort of trip. Snapcracklepop, Graffiti and Trojan Truth head up the dangers.

Having returned with a pleasing fourth and with tonight's extra yardage sure to suit, SNAPCRACKLEPOP is the selection.
