Heritier |
(2) (11/2 +0%)11/2(+0%) | (2) Heritier 11/2, Registered third chase win in 3-runner contest at Market Rasen in November. Ended season in tame fashion but a break will doubtless have done him some good. On a winning mark but absent since March and has yet to tackle this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (6) (5/2 +55%) Sinister Minister |
5/2(+55%) | (6) Sinister Minister 5/2, Has made a positive if slightly frustrating start to his chase career, placed for the fifth time at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago. Same mark here and he's likely to give it a good shot. Consistently placed over fences but career record is 0-17. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (10/3 +5%) Imac Wood |
10/3(+5%) | (3) Imac Wood 10/3, Dual chase winner in France early last year. Not at that level for this yard though dropped a long way in the weights and he cashed in returned to fences at Worcester last month. Expected to give it another good go. Perked up by wind surgery and won at Worcester latest; 4lb rise might not stop him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/1 -40%) Joly Maker |
7/1(-40%) | (4) Joly Maker 7/1, Added to tally when a surprise winner back from 8 months off at Stratford in April. Into his shell since so others more persuasive despite falling mark. Unpredictable and hasn't been in top form but always liable to pop up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (5/2 -43%) Creative Control |
5/2(-43%) | (1) Creative Control 5/2, Fit from a spin over hurdles and back to winning ways in 7-runner handicap chase at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago. Fortunate on that occasion given leader unseated late but he's up just 1 lb for that. Major player. Fortunate to win last month but only gone up 1lb; likely to make a bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (40/1 +39%) Dynali |
40/1(+39%) | (7) Dynali 40/1, Modest maiden who has shaped with limited encouragement for current stable. Out of the weights returned to fences. Hasn't been in form over hurdles and unplaced in three chases a year ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (6/1 +29%) Bitasweetsymphony |
6/1(+29%) | (5) Bitasweetsymphony 6/1, Now 3 lb below his last winning mark and easy to forgive heavy defeat at Huntingdon when last seen in March having all but come down at the first. Market may guide on reappearance. Absent since being pulled up in March; only win came over C&D. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Creative Control was possibly a fortuitous winner when being left in the lead two fences from home at Uttoxeter last month, but Donald McCain's gelding still merits respect now only 1lb higher. IMAC WOOD, however, makes slightly more appeal after finding some improvement when triumphing over 2m4f at Worcester in August. A 4lb rise looks more than fair and the five-year-old is fancied to enhance his fine strike-rate over fences (3-5). Sinister Minister may chase them home.
CREATIVE CONTROL was a fortunate winner at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago but the assessor has raised him just 1 lb as a result, so the follow-up may well be on the cards. Imac Wood also tasted success last time and is a danger, while Heritier is dangerous if fully tuned up for this return to action.
The 4lb rise for his Worcester win might well not stop IMAC WOOD (nap).

1st (3) (3/1 -60%) Gambie Tiep |
3/1(-60%) | (3) Gambie Tiep 3/1, 3 wins from 6 runs this season. Latest win in chase at Fontwell in September. Leading and going well when unseated his rider 4 out in handicap chase at Plumpton (19.8f, good, 7/4) 10 days ago. Expected to be bang there off the same mark. Crashed out when leading over fences at Plumpton; not ruled out if over that experience.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (9/2 -13%) Pittsburg |
9/2(-13%) | (2) Pittsburg 9/2, 2 wins from 6 runs this season. 6/1, very good second of 8 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Switches from hurdles to chase and firmly in the picture. Dual chase winner; fair effort over hurdles latest and could still have more to come.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (25/1 -56%) Pencil |
25/1(-56%) | (7) Pencil 25/1, Yet to offer much in two runs over fences, remote sixth of 10 in handicap chase at Exeter (17.5f, good to soft, 9/1) 166 days ago. Plenty more is required. Moderate form over both hurdles and fences; drops 2lb after a break.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (13/2 -86%) Heros De Moutiers |
13/2(-86%) | (1) Heros De Moutiers 13/2, Good second of 9 in handicap chase at Hexham (15.6f, good, 7/2) 28 days ago. Can make presence felt. Second from same mark at Hexham latest; slower ground a slight concern but not ruled out.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (22/1 -57%) Full Of Light |
22/1(-57%) | (5) Full Of Light 22/1, Fair fourth of 6 in handicap hurdle (33/1) at Stratford (16.3f, good) 25 days ago, better placed than most. Switches from hurdles to chase and not discounted. 0-6 over fences and well beaten back over hurdles latest; others preferred.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (18/1 +18%) Newtonian |
18/1(+18%) | (6) Newtonian 18/1, Had wind op before coming in only sixth of 8 in handicap chase at Worcester (16.5f, soft, 12/1) 22 days ago. Lots more is needed. Well beaten in both starts for this trainer, punctuated by wind surgery.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (4) (15/8 +66%) Uncle Arthur |
15/8(+66%) | (4) Uncle Arthur 15/8, Below form sixth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (16.6f, good to soft, 6/1) 145 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Nigel Twiston-Davies and much respected on his chase debut. First start for this trainer; drops 4lb; tongue-tie on; chase debut; check market.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (15/2 +12%) Money For Jam |
15/2(+12%) | (8) Money For Jam 15/2, Pulled up in handicap hurdle (5/2) at Market Rasen (18.6f, soft) 6 months ago. Makes chase debut with something to prove. Chase debut after nearly seven months off; each-way player if wind surgery has helped.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (150/1 -50%) Tika Moon |
150/1(-50%) | (9) Tika Moon 150/1, Last of 9 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (19.9f, good, 150/1) 35 days ago. Makes chase debut with cheekpieces on for 1st time and a bit to prove. 0-10 and has shown very little over obstacles; blinkers now swapped for cheekpieces.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Uncle Arthur failed to land a blow in handicap company when under the tutelage of Nigel Twiston-Davies, but the five-year-old is worth a second look in the market on his stable debut for Fergal O'Brien. HEROS DE MOUTIERS rates as a more solid proposition after finishing runner-up off his current mark at Hexham last month. The in-form Pittsburg and Gambie Tiep are others likely to go well.
GAMBIE TIEP is already a three-time winner this season and was still going well in front when coming down four out at Plumpton last time so is fancied to bag another victory off an unchanged mark here. Heros de Moutiers rates the chief threat on the back of his good Hexham second, with Pittsburg and Uncle Arthur two more who need considering.
Dual chase winner PITTSBURG may still have more to come in this discipline and arguably has fewer doubts to satisfy.

1st (6) (6/4 +40%) Justshortofabubble |
6/4(+40%) | (6) Justshortofabubble 6/4, One win from 25 NH runs. Winner in chase at Stratford in August. Creditable second of 7 in handicap chase at Uttoxeter (24f, soft, 5/2) 15 days ago. Leading claims. Consistent since a Stratford win in August but just 1-25 in career. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (18/1 -80%) Dindin |
18/1(-80%) | (3) Dindin 18/1, Back on the scoreboard at Worcester (23f) in June but more miss than hit since and is left with a bit to prove. Needs to leave behind latest two efforts but that's possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (6/1 -9%) Daranova |
6/1(-9%) | (4) Daranova 6/1, Gained two 3m chase wins in May 2022 but struggling for form at present, only sixth back over hurdles at Worcester last time. Up against it in current mood. Two C&D wins last year but hasn't shown much in his outings this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (10/3 +5%) William Ewart |
10/3(+5%) | (5) William Ewart 10/3, Much more like it switched to handicaps over hurdles, bolting up at Bangor (23f, soft) in March and running well in staying event at Stratford. Disappointing chasing debut at Uttoxeter 5 months ago but could prove a different proposition this time. Easy hurdle winner here in March; absent since modest chasing debut in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (7/1 +42%) Hannah's Walk |
7/1(+42%) | (8) Hannah's Walk 7/1, Not much inspiration to be gained from her bumper/hurdling efforts to date and she's out of the weights on chase debut. Unplaced over hurdles; 6lb out of the handicap on chasing debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (9/1 -157%) Easkey Lad |
9/1(-157%) | (2) Easkey Lad 9/1, Improved to win a pair of 3m Ffos Las handicaps in May and June. At least respectable efforts the last twice and should be on the premises again in new headgear. Hasn't progressed from two wins in the summer but blinkers may prove a big help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (12/1 +64%) Tom O'Roughley |
12/1(+64%) | (7) Tom O'Roughley 12/1, Made a winning return at Warwick in May but has drastically lost his form since and is hard to make a case for. Inconsistent; can suddenly return to form, as he needs to do here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (25/1 -233%) Head On |
25/1(-233%) | (1) Head On 25/1, Creditable third of 6 in handicap chase at Southwell (24.3f, good to soft, 10/3). Off 18 months. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Handicapper has given him a chance and he's worth a market check. Absent since March 2022 but would have live claims if ready. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
JUSTSHORTOFABUBBLE has posted a string of creditable efforts in defeat since his first success at Stratford in August and looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to regain the winning thread. The dropped-in-class Easkey Lad is feared most, with first-time blinkers looking a positive move. William Ewart has been given a break since his eighth-placed effort on chase debut at Uttoxeter in May and it's too early to be writing him off.
JUSTSHORTOFABUBBLE arrives at the top of his game and is fancied to resume winning ways at the possible expense of Easkey Lad, who has blinkers on for the first time. William Ewart has potential despite an underwhelming start in this sphere.
In the hope that blinkers give him a boost, EASKEY LAD is given the vote.

1st (5) (14/1 -17%) Queen Antoinette |
14/1(-17%) | (5) Queen Antoinette 14/1, Champs Elysees mare who offered something to work on when third in a bumper at Worcester (16f, good) back in June 2021. Presumably had her issues to not have been seen since, so she's probably best watched on hurdles debut. Absent for well over two years; would want to see her strong in the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (15/8 +25%) Drumlee Spud |
15/8(+25%) | (3) Drumlee Spud 15/8, Successful on sole outing in points and produced a promising first effort under Rules when runner-up in a Worcester bumper last month. Likely sort upped in trip for her hurdles debut. Picked up for £45,000 after winning an Irish point in the spring; shortlisted now hurdling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 -14%) Omaha Wish |
4/1(-14%) | (4) Omaha Wish 4/1, Point winner who made a solid start under Rules when third in a bumper at Warwick in February. Proved a let-down 7 weeks on at Fakenham when last seen 6 months ago but has had a wind operation ahead of her hurdling debut. Needs a market check. Bought for £100,000 after winning an Irish point last autumn; has undergone wind surgerey. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/5 +40%) Eve Moneypenny |
6/5(+40%) | (1) Eve Moneypenny 6/5, Maiden pointer who made a successful start to life under Rules despite having proved friendless in the betting in maiden hurdle at Punchestown in June. Failed to kick on from that on both subsequent starts and has since switched yards. Can put her hurdling experience to good use. Ex-Irish mare who has a bit to prove for her new yard under a penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (28/1 -75%) Caught A Vibe |
28/1(-75%) | (2) Caught A Vibe 28/1, £40,000 5-y-o, Dylan Thomas mare. Half-sister to 4 winners, including useful hurdler Boss Man Fred and fairly useful hurdler Wild Romance, stays 29f. Dam point winner. Placed last 2 of 3 starts in Irish points, beaten a head last time (Jan 22). Half-sister to four winners, including two on hurdling debut; the market will guide. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Former point-to-point winner DRUMLEE SPUD, a half-sister to the useful Monbeg Stream, was the subject of strong support on her debut in a Worcester bumper last month. A clear second that day, it was a respectable effort and she is fancied to be a different proposition with hurdles to negotiate. Eve Moneypenny tasted success over timber for her previous stable in Ireland and is noted on debut for Donald McCain. Omaha Wish is also considered.
Tough to rule out any of the sextet but preference is for EVE MONEYPENNY, who has failed to kick on since making a successful start to life under Rules at Punchestown in June but can put her hurdling experience to good use on first outing for Donald McCain. Drumlee Spud finished runner-up in a Worcester bumper last month and she's expected to be in the mix now hurdling, with Omaha Wish rounding off the shortlist.
Irish point winner DRUMLEE SPUD is taken to leave her odds-on bumper defeat behind in a race in which the market should tell a story.

1st (10) (9/2 +10%) Classic Concorde |
9/2(+10%) | (10) Classic Concorde 9/2, Ended a near 3-year losing streak at Worcester in August before following up in straightforward fashion there last month, well served by his quick jumping technique. Up a further 5 lb but should be in the mix again. Two Worcester wins in recent weeks; this will prove much tougher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (17/2 +29%) Halifax |
17/2(+29%) | (5) Halifax 17/2, Bagged his third success for his current yard in 7-runner C&D handicap early last month and ran creditably when 8 lengths fourth of 8 to Classic Concorde in handicap hurdle at Worcester (23f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Still requires bit more from this kind of mark. Behind Classic Concorde latest but previous C&D win brings him into it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (9/2 +36%) Ballycamus |
9/2(+36%) | (6) Ballycamus 9/2, Doubled his career tally when scoring at Newbury (24.2f, soft) in March, seeming to relish the emphasis on stamina back up in trip. Beaten only by a progressive rival at Ludlow on next start and possibly found busy spell catching up with him on final outing of the season, so isn't discounted. Pulled up when last seen in May but had been in good form before; possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (5/1 +38%) King's Threshold |
5/1(+38%) | (3) King's Threshold 5/1, Showed improved form switched to handicaps when winning 12-runner event at Exeter (21.6f, soft) in April. Failed to get home on worsening ground when stepped up to this kind of trip at Kempton on next start but certainly worth another go to test his stamina and is respected. Exeter winner in April and ought to be capable of further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (6/1 -71%) Morricone |
6/1(-71%) | (9) Morricone 6/1, Showed further improvement to run out a comprehensive winner of an 11-runner handicap hurdle at Downpatrick (17.8f, soft, 5/2) 19 days ago. Very much appeals as the type to progress again but this markedly longer trip is an unknown. Won in good style in Ireland last month; huge rise to overcome but still plenty to like. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (3/1 +14%) Olivers Travels |
3/1(+14%) | (7) Olivers Travels 3/1, Runner-up in an Irish point before landing a brace of bumpers this summer. Opened hurdles account at the second attempt at Worcester (23f) last month and looked blatantly unsuited by the return to 2m when second at Uttoxeter last time, so should have more to offer now handicapping over further. Handicap debut; maiden winner two starts ago; well worth considering. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (12/1 -20%) Punxsutawney Phil |
12/1(-20%) | (4) Punxsutawney Phil 12/1, Winless on Flat since December 2022 and ran just respectably on return to hurdling when sixth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Hexham (20.1f, good, 11/2) 28 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter having since left Brian Ellison. Sold for 10,000gns since last month's Hexham effort; back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (33/1 -106%) Dee Star |
33/1(-106%) | (8) Dee Star 33/1, Won veterans' chase at Cartmel in May and got back on track when second in 8-runner event there towards the end of August, Unraced over hurdles for almost 5 years, though, so looks far from well treated returning to this sphere. Goes well in chases at Cartmel; first hurdle outing for five years. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (40/1 -233%) Burbank |
40/1(-233%) | (2) Burbank 40/1, Back to form out of the blue when springing a 33/1 surprise in 26.5f Perth handicap hurdle in April, benefiting from an enterprising ride. Remains to be seen whether he's allowed quite so much rope again. Reverted to hurdles with 33-1 Perth win in April; off since; best when able to lead. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
A comfortable winner of a maiden hurdle at Worcester on his penultimate start, OLIVERS TRAVELS has already shown a lot of promise in this sphere and is an appealing option starting out in handicaps off a workable mark. Recent Downpatrick winner Morricone commands respect in receipt of 8lb from the selection. Halifax, a C&D winner off 3lb lower last month, is also respected, while Dee Star is another notable contender.
Dual bumper winner OLIVERS TRAVELS ran well despite seeming unsuited by the drop in trip at Uttoxeter last time and Peter Bowen's gelding looks just the type to do better handicapping over this kind of trip. Irish raider Morricone is most progressive and appeals as particularly interesting taking a marked step up in trip, whilst Classic Concorde is also respected in search of the hat-trick.
A competitive race can go to KING'S THRESHOLD on his return from a break.

1st (6) (10/11 -72%) Wordsworth |
10/11(-72%) | (6) Wordsworth 10/11, Smart Flat stayer shaped encouragingly on hurdles debut when second of 15 in novice hurdle at Ballinrobe (17f, good). Will take all the beating having since left Josh Halley. Talented on the Flat at best; narrow defeat on hurdle debut in Ireland; sets the standard. |

2nd (7) (14/1 +50%) Black Occ |
14/1(+50%) | (7) Black Occ 14/1, Point runner-up showed aptitude when fourth of 9 in novice hurdle at Worcester (16f, good to soft) on NH debut 16 days ago, just too keen to see race out thoroughly. Sound place claims on that effort. Too free when fourth at Worcester last month; might build on that. |

3rd (9) (13/2 +19%) Wise Guy |
13/2(+19%) | (9) Wise Guy 13/2, Point bumper winner travelled as well as any when fifth of 9 in bumper (10/3) here (good to firm) on NH debut 165 days ago. Should have more to offer now hurdling. Point bumper winner; fifth in a bumper at this track in April; hurdle debut. |

4th (10) (14/1 -87%) Chantilly Rose |
14/1(-87%) | (10) Chantilly Rose 14/1, Showed some promise when third in a Southwell bumper for Peter Niven in spring 2022 and shaped as if needing the run after 18-month absence when fourth of 5 in novice hurdle at Newton Abbot (16.8f, heavy) on hurdles bow 12 days ago. Interesting to see what market makes of her now. Well beaten on recent stable/hurdle debut but likely to do much better in time. |

5th (3) (66/1 -32%) Fat Harry |
66/1(-32%) | (3) Fat Harry 66/1, Multiplex gelding. Brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Silva Eclipse, and half-brother to poor chaser Catlin. Dam unraced. Others make more appeal. Brother to a multiple winner; worth a market glance on racecourse debut. |

6th (8) (10/1 +70%) Tune In A Box |
10/1(+70%) | (8) Tune In A Box 10/1, Prominent in the betting on both outings but looked badly in need the experience when mid-field in a bumper and ran to just poor level when fifth of 9 in novice hurdle at Plumpton (15.9f, good) on hurdles bow 178 days ago. Well held in a bumper and on hurdle debut in the spring. |

7th (5) (100/1 -150%) Specialagent Mcgee |
100/1(-150%) | (5) Specialagent Mcgee 100/1, Backed at long odds but showed nothing when last of 9 in bumper at Ffos Las (15.8f, soft) on debut in January. Gelded/had breathing op since. Tailed off in a bumper; gelded since and also had wind surgery; hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (2) (9/4 +44%) Easter Junction |
9/4(+44%) | (2) Easter Junction 9/4, Point runner-up made the frame in 2 bumpers last season, shaping encouragingly when third in a good Musselburgh contest on debut before going off too hard when fourth at Doncaster. Respected hurdles newcomer. Hurdle debut; should have a future based on ability shown in a point and in bumpers. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
It is hard to ignore the potential held by WORDSWORTH, who reached a mark of 111 on the Flat during his time with Aidan O'Brien. Having impressed with a close second in a maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe on his sole start for Josh Halley, he looks a prime candidate to improve. Now under David Pipe's tutelage, this could be the start of an intriguing campaign for the five-year-old. Easter Junction, Black Occ and Book Of Verse head the list of dangers.
WORDSWORTH would be hard to oppose on the form of his hurdling debut second even without acknowledging the quality he showed on the Flat, so is a strong fancy to get the better of hurdles debutant Easter Junction and Black Occ, who made an encouraging start at Worcester last month.
It will be disappointing if WORDSWORTH cannot land this.

8/11(+55%) | (1) Act Of Authority 8/11, Winner of sole start in Points and finished runner-up in both bumper outings earlier this year. Holds strong claims on hurdles debut. Irish point winner; second in two bumpers early this year; likely to go close now hurdling. |

2nd (4) (15/2 +46%) Iron D'Ex |
15/2(+46%) | (4) Iron D'Ex 15/2, £60,000 purchase after finishing third in an Irish point in spring of last year. Disappointed when last seen at Hereford 11 months ago but had shaped with promise when placed in 2 hurdles over this C&D previously and warrants respect on return to action. Two good runs here a year ago but tailed off in November and absent since. |

5/1(+17%) | (6) Major Fortune 5/1, Offered little in a couple of starts over hurdles last winter but had made the frame both starts in bumpers previously and has since joined Dan Skelton. Worth a second look in the market. Tailed off in both hurdles; might do better on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (25/1 -14%) Mahler Moon |
25/1(-14%) | (5) Mahler Moon 25/1, Showed more than on hurdles bow when creditable fifth of 10 in novice (28/1) at Market Rasen (20.6f, good to soft) in April and had a wind operation since. However, appears to be yard's second string judged on jockey bookings. Looks stable second string but well worth keeping an eye on. |

80/1(-471%) | (2) Exclusive Getaway 80/1, Acquitted himself well when second of 4 in bumper at Warwick (16f, good) on NH debut in May and needs monitoring in market on hurdles bow. Hooded for first time. Modest Irish point form and second of four in a Warwick bumper on British debut. |

50/1(-213%) | (9) Shiroccosmagicbaby 50/1, Winning Irish pointer who offered plenty to work on when second of 11 in novice hurdle at Hereford (19.7f, good to soft) on NH debut 8 months ago. Would likely appreciate a stiffer test of stamina, though. Irish point winner; second at Hereford on hurdle debut; this looks tougher. |

|PU| (7) (7/2 -40%) Dino Bellagio |
7/2(-40%) | (7) Dino Bellagio 7/2, Found company too hot at Aintree in April but had won 2 of his 3 starts in bumpers prior to that and looks a big player on hurdles debut here. Two bumper wins last season; interesting on hurdle debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
ACT OF AUTHORITY displayed plenty of promise when filling second place in both bumper starts earlier in the year and it would be no surprise to see the son of Authorized make a winning debut over hurdles here. Dino Bellagio also showed ability in bumpers and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Shiroccosmagicbaby and Mahler Moon also merit consideration.
Winning pointer ACT OF AUTHORITY ran with plenty of promise in both his bumpers and is taken to make a successful switch to hurdling. Dino Bellagio also makes plenty of appeal on his first start over timber, whilst Iron D'ex acquitted himself well here last autumn and is not taken lightly.
Useful prospect ACT OF AUTHORITY can make a winning start over hurdles.

3rd (6) (4/1 -33%) King Of Answers |
4/1(-33%) | (6) King Of Answers 4/1, £45,000 purchase, runner-up on second of 2 starts in Irish points (May 13). Yard cleaned up at Perth last week and he's one to note. Second in an Irish point in May; may need more of a stamina test. |

4th (9) (9/2 +18%) Ridge Hill |
9/2(+18%) | (9) Ridge Hill 9/2, Cracking Flat pedigree and made a decent start in Worcester bumper 6 weeks ago, lacking a change of gear at a crucial stage. Will need a bit more here but entitled to improve. Well bred but no Flat runs; fair third at Worcester in August; should figure. |

5th (8) (11/1 -47%) Professor Higgins |
11/1(-47%) | (8) Professor Higgins 11/1, Out of a winning chaser and fair form in 2 bumpers (trained by Nicky Henderson on debut). Not without a chance. Placed in both starts but form looks quite modest. |

6th (4) (16/1 -14%) Badlands Boy |
16/1(-14%) | (4) Badlands Boy 16/1, €16,000 3-y-o, Diamond Boy gelding. Dam, maiden on Flat in France, half-sister to high-class hurdler/fairly useful chase winner (2m-19f winner) Peace And Co. 1 of 2 interesting runners for Donald McCain. Newcomer; good stable (which runs two) but limited appeal on breeding. |

7th (2) (66/1 +0%) Hope Hill |
66/1(+0%) | (2) Hope Hill 66/1, £2,500 3-y-o, Sageburg gelding. Half-brother to high-class hurdler/chaser Yorkhill. Offered something to work on in Newcastle bumper in May. Some promise when sixth at Newcastle in May; may need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (12/1 +25%) Wexford Park |
12/1(+25%) | (3) Wexford Park 12/1, £36,000 buy after finished placed on both starts in Irish points this spring. Third in two Irish points; bought for £36,000; may need jumps to be seen at his best. |

9th (11) (9/1 -38%) Macmolly |
9/1(-38%) | (11) Macmolly 9/1, £27,000 3-y-o, Black Sam Bellamy filly. Closely related to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser Pique Rock and fair hurdler Blue Beach. Stable does well in this sphere and she makes plenty of appeal on paper. Some appeal on pedigree and good stable has decent bumper record. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (50/1 -100%) Ronster Monster |
50/1(-100%) | (10) Ronster Monster 50/1, Peace Envoy gelding. Half-brother to 2 winners on Flat, including winner around 1¼m Destiny of Dreams. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner. Newcomer; stamina a cause for concern on breeding. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
CANNOCK PARK only found one too good on his Rules debut in a similar event at Carlisle earlier in the year and the five-year-old could be hard to stop with the benefit of that experience. That said, Ridge Hill also went well on his racecourse bow in August and should not be underestimated, while Professor Higgins edges out Macmolly and Panhandle Slim to be best of the rest.
CANNOCK PARK ran well on his first go in this sphere at Catterick when last seen in March and gets the vote. Newcomer Macmolly is interesting, as is King of Answers.
The form and experience of CANNOCK PARK could make him hard to catch.
Ths is the racecard key.
