1st (7) (20/1 -67%) Bedelia |
20/1(-67%) | (7) Bedelia 20/1, Modest filly. Twelfth of 16 in handicap at Gowran (9.4f, good, 50/1) 21 days ago. Blinkers back on, tongue strap on 1st time. Regressed this year; has to find her best to be involved even off this low weight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (2/1 +56%) Western Cape |
2/1(+56%) | (3) Western Cape 2/1, Fair gelding. 15/2 and blinkered for 1st time, good fifth of 15 in handicap at Limerick (8f, good) 3 days ago. Respectable runs in handicaps, including over 1m at Limerick three days ago; be involved. |

3rd (5) (7/1 -40%) Lady Pro |
7/1(-40%) | (5) Lady Pro 7/1, 57,000 gns Gleneagles filly. Half-sister to useful 1m/8.6f winner Kestenna. Dam, 8.3f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 7f Electric Beat. Starts out at a low level and a market move for her would look significant. A 57,000gns yearling is by a decent sire and doesn't need to be smart to make an impact. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (100/1 -150%) Td's Approach |
100/1(-150%) | (2) Td's Approach 100/1, Twice-raced maiden. 200/1, last of 15 in maiden at Gowran (7f, good to soft) 54 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Was 19l behind at Gowran after hanging on the first turn; has to show much more today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (3.33/1 -77%) Cyber Attack |
3.33/1(-77%) | (1) Cyber Attack 3.33/1, Fair filly. Blinkered for 1st time, respectable sixth of 10 in maiden (14/1) at Listowel (8f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Leading claims down in grade. Has run respectably a number of times in defeat in stronger company than this; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (1.88/1 +37%) Love Mocha |
1.88/1(+37%) | (6) Love Mocha 1.88/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable third of 10 in claimer at Fairyhouse (10f, good, 10/3) 25 days ago. Blinkers back on. Unlikely to be far away. Respectable effort in a 1m2f Fairyhouse claimer last time; big player at the weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (16/1 -14%) Not Even Maybe |
16/1(-14%) | (4) Not Even Maybe 16/1, Modest filly. 33/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, eighteenth of 22 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good) 4 days ago, slowly away. Maiden after 12 starts is rated only 48 and has plenty to find on these terms. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LOVE MOCHA gets the vote. The Jessica Harrington-trained filly showed promise on debut at Dundalk last autumn and has been placed a couple of times this season, including behind Saphristi in a 1m2f Fairyhouse claimer earlier this month. She had Western Cape over three lengths adrift on that occasion and that rival has put in a couple of solid efforts since in handicaps, including at Limerick on Friday evening. Cyber Attack showed plenty of promise on debut last year and again when going close at Dundalk, but hasn't progressed in three outings this term.
CYBER ATTACK has shown a fair level of form on most of her starts and looks to stand a good chance now dropping into a claimer. The main opposition may come from the Jessica Harrington yard, with Love Mocha an obvious threat after her third in similar company at Fairyhouse. Her debuting stablemate Lady Pro would also very much enter the reckoning if the betting vibes are strong.
Closely matched at the weights, CYBER ATTACK and Love Mocha can fight this out, with narrow preference for the first-named.

Simpson's Paradox |
(2) (2.75/1 +0%)2.75/1(+0%) | (2) Simpson's Paradox 2.75/1, Lightly-raced gelding. Bit below form fourth of 10 in maiden (evens) at Gowran (7f, soft) 68 days ago, inadequate test. Significantly up in trip. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Gets the vote. Steps up in trip in first-time cheekpieces and a big player if reproducing his best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (5) (2.75/1 +58%) Green Sky |
2.75/1(+58%) | (5) Green Sky 2.75/1, Sixth of 11 in maiden (9/2) at Gowran (8f, soft) on debut 68 days ago, having to weave through. Trainer going well. Likely to improve. Not the cleanest of trips on debut but with improvement to come, can be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (1.5/1 +25%) The First And Last |
1.5/1(+25%) | (3) The First And Last 1.5/1, Promising individual. Second of 15 in maiden at Cork (8f, good to soft, 11/1) 66 days ago. Should progress again. Just denied in a Cork maiden over 1m in April on return; likely to go close if staying. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (2.5/1 +17%) Report |
2.5/1(+17%) | (7) Report 2.5/1, Twice-raced filly. 33/1, fifth of 9 in maiden at the Curragh (10f, good) 29 days ago. Open to further improvement. Respected. Much-improved effort on return at the Curragh over 1m2f; should have progressed from that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (9/1 +44%) Toll Stone |
9/1(+44%) | (4) Toll Stone 9/1, Australia gelding. Dam, 1½m winner, closely related to useful 9.4f winner An Saincheann. Wears tongue strap. Betting should help guide to expectations. By a quality sire from a fine family; tongue-tie on for debut; check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (18/1 +55%) Dakota Chief |
18/1(+55%) | (1) Dakota Chief 18/1, 66/1, seventh of 11 in maiden (66/1) at Killarney (8.1f, good to soft) on debut 41 days ago. Made some late headway on debut at Killarney in a decent 1m maiden; has to improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (50/1 +24%) Mayo For Sam |
50/1(+24%) | (6) Mayo For Sam 50/1, 150/1, thirteenth of 17 in maiden at Gowran (9.4f, good to soft) on debut 34 days ago, slowly away. Beaten 16l on debut at Gowran and has to improve enormously on that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Simpson's Paradox is certainly bred in the purple as a brother to Alpha Centauri and Discoveries, but has yet to hit anything near the heights of his illustrious siblings. He's been given a break since a spring reappearance at Gowran and is now fitted with cheekpieces but may not cope with stablemate THE FIRST AND LAST, who took a step forward from his debut at the Curragh last summer when reappearing at Cork. He was just touched off by Mr Lincoln and may now have most to fear from Report, who has a similar profile and showed definite promise at the Curragh last month. Not a lot went right for Green Sky on debut at Gowran and hopefully she can benefit from that experience.
SIMPSON'S FAIR looked unsuited by the drop back to 7f when a beaten favourite on his Gowran reappearance in the spring and is given one more chance back over further in headgear. His stablemate The First And Last rates a threat after his Cork near miss, while Report showed promise on her Curragh reappearance and could have more to come for the Donnacha O'Brien yard.
Though there are some doubts about his stamina for this trip, THE FIRST AND LAST has the pace to lie close and can last home.

4/1(+90%) | (3) Fratas 4/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 50/1, eleventh of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (8f, good) 18 days ago, missing break. No threat in two handicap outings since joining this stable, hard to make a case for her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (3/1 +50%) Portreath |
3/1(+50%) | (1) Portreath 3/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/2 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, creditable third of 7 in handicap at Listowel (7f, good) 22 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Should get competitive again. Third at Listowel in first handicap, place chance but stablemate Miss Yvonne is preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (16/1 +60%) So Messi |
16/1(+60%) | (8) So Messi 16/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Tenth of 11 in maidenclaimer at Roscommon (7.4f, good to soft, 33/1) 35 days ago. Up in trip. Makes handicap debut. Two ordinary maiden runs at Dundalk, in rear in a claimer at Roscommon, makes no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (9/1 +25%) Miss Langmore |
9/1(+25%) | (11) Miss Langmore 9/1, Very good second of 8 in claimer at Gowran (8f, soft, 15/2) 47 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Ms Sheila Lavery. Hood on 1st time. Respected. Second in a claimer on her final start for Sheila Lavery, previous handicap form was weak. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (2.75/1 +61%) Portmagee |
2.75/1(+61%) | (4) Portmagee 2.75/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 22/1, very good fifth of 16 in handicap at Gowran (9.4f, good) 21 days ago. Unexposed and merits consideration. Showed enough on handicap debut at Gowran to suggest she could feature now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (12/1 +40%) Aurum Sky |
12/1(+40%) | (7) Aurum Sky 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 150/1, ninth of 12 in maiden at Limerick (8f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Likely to improve, so worth a market check. Weak form in juvenile maidens over various trips. not much better on seasonal debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (16/1 +11%) Captain John Barry |
16/1(+11%) | (5) Captain John Barry 16/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Eleventh of 12 in maiden at Limerick (8f, good to soft, 100/1) 12 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. Hard to assess, beaten favourite on debut so probably not devoid of ability, cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (4.5/1 +18%) Game Eagle |
4.5/1(+18%) | (10) Game Eagle 4.5/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 20/1, tenth of 13 in handicap at Tipperary (9f, good to soft) 67 days ago. Hard to fancy. Considerable progress needed from handicap debut at Tipperary in April, yard in good form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (100/1 +0%) Cloughaneely Mor |
100/1(+0%) | (9) Cloughaneely Mor 100/1, 125/1 and blinkered for 1st time, tenth of 11 in handicap at Roscommon (11.7f, good) 25 days ago. Struggled in maidens, has finished with only one behind her on each handicap start. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MISS YVONNE gets the vote on what may prove a good evening for Jessica Harrington. The daughter of Churchill has dropped down to a competitive mark this year and has solid claims on her latest two starts. She was beaten just over a length at Roscommon and went even closer over a mile at Limerick on Friday. Harrington is also represented by Portreath, who was placed on his handicap debut at Listowel and may be suited by this step up in trip. Navy Beach appreciated the step up to 1m2f when staying on into third behind the well-backed Picture Of A City at Down Royal on Saturday.
NAVY BEACH took a step forward when runner-up at Down Royal on Saturday and there's likely more to come if he's not undone by the quick turnaround, so he's preferred to in-form pair Miss Yvonne and Portreath.
Jessica Harrington has the top two in the handicap and can collect with MISS YVONNE who has not been beaten far on her last two starts

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (9/1 +0%) Chocolat Blu |
9/1(+0%) | (8) Chocolat Blu 9/1, Winner at Dundalk in December. 12/1, eleventh of 14 in handicap at Dundalk (10.7f). Off 171 days. Dundalk winner last December, absent since January, trip and ground should be suitable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (8/1 -167%) Pont Audemer |
8/1(-167%) | (2) Pont Audemer 8/1, Fairly useful winner at 16f over hurdles. 5/1, third of 14 in handicap hurdle at Clonmel (16.2f, soft) 46 days ago. Up in trip. Mark looks reasonable for handicap debut in this sphere. Flat winner on soft in France, similar conditions for best hurdles form, ground a concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (4/1 +43%) A Shin Undine |
4/1(+43%) | (6) A Shin Undine 4/1, Winner at Gowran in May. 16/1, respectable twelfth of 20 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, good to soft) 31 days ago. Not discounted. Opened account with a narrow win at Gowran in May, mid-field at the Curragh last time. |

12/1(+33%) | (9) Blackcastle Storm 12/1, Respectable sixth of 14 in handicap at Dundalk (10.7f, 40/1). Off 8 months. Not taken lightly. Lacks a recent run, has run well when fresh before but appears vulnerable on overall form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (6/1 +33%) Eloquent Arthur |
6/1(+33%) | (5) Eloquent Arthur 6/1, Respectable eighth of 17 in handicap (14/1) at Leopardstown (8f, good) 18 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Not one to write off. Only 3lb higher than when winning at Killarney last August, capable of holding his own. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (25/1 -14%) Relevant Range |
25/1(-14%) | (7) Relevant Range 25/1, Winner at Dundalk in March. 16/1, eleventh of 13 in handicap at Leopardstown (8f, good) 4 days ago. Something to prove. Dundalk maiden winner has been well beaten in his two handicap runs for this stable. |

22/1(+12%) | (1) Saraqael 22/1, Lightly-raced winner on Flat. Twelfth of 18 in novice hurdle (20/1) at Gowran (16f, heavy) 107 days ago. Off 107 days. Fairly useful on the Flat, poor on last Flat outing. Others preferred. Soft-ground maiden winner for his former trainer, ordinary form over hurdles for this yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (4/1 -14%) Quick Blessing |
4/1(-14%) | (10) Quick Blessing 4/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Tongue strap on for 1st time, excellent second of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (8f, good, 18/1) 18 days ago, conceding first run. Could go one better. Showed winning potential for the first time on seasonal debut, leading contender now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Gavin Cromwell looks to have a strong hand here and the vote goes to bottom weight QUICK BLESSING. The sole three-year-old in the field gets a nice bit of weight from some of his rivals and looks capable of further improvement after a good run to chase home Parana Delta at Leopardstown earlier in the month. As a son of Australia going a bit further now should suit. Cromwell also has Pont Audemer who has been in good form over hurdles recently. The French-bred won over a mile in his native land and it will be interesting to see how he fares off a mark of 82 on his handicap debut on the level. Redstone Well looks another for the shortlist after a good effort to finish second at Gowran Park three weeks ago.
QUICK BLESSING finished strongly having conceded first run to the winner at Leopardstown 18 days ago and he's worth a chance to go one better with further progress on the cards. Stablemate Pont Audemar is a danger returning to the Flat and Redstone Well can't be dismissed on the back of a solid showing.
Gavin Cromwell's good run can continue with QUICK BLESSING who gave a promising display in his first handicap

1.5/1(+33%) | (13) Lizzy's Filly 1.5/1, Fairly useful filly. Remains a maiden after 9 Flat runs. Respectable second of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (8f, 5/2) when last seen in December. Since rejoined former yard and she has to be high on the shortlist with Colin Keane booked. Placed in five of her six starts for Ciaran Murphy last year, champion jockey booked. |

5/1(-11%) | (5) Expound 5/1, Fair gelding. Creditable third of 13 in handicap (16/1) at Gowran (9.4f, good) 21 days ago. Fair form at Dundalk last winter, best turf run so far when third in a Gowran handicap. |

3rd (11) (2.75/1 -22%) Banned |
2.75/1(-22%) | (11) Banned 2.75/1, Fair filly. Remains a maiden after 12 Flat runs. 5/2 and hooded for 1st time, creditable second of 9 in maiden at Roscommon (11.7f, good) 25 days ago. Another bold show likely. Four seconds to her name including at Roscommon on latest, should be in the mix again. |

First run for yard after leaving Brian Barr. 56-rated gelding makes his Irish debut, would have better prospects in a handicap.. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Colin Keane is a positive booking for LIZZY'S FILLY and she may be able to gain a deserved win on her return. Cotai Glory filly rejoins Pat Martin having started her career with him and wouldn't be scoring out of turn having been placed six times from nine runs. To be fair she has bumped into some decent sorts and was last seen chasing home cosy winner Vadiana at Dundalk in December. Banned has a similar profile with plenty of placed form in the book. She doesn't look the most straightforward but could be a danger in a moderate enough contest. Granville Street was runner-up on his two outings for Ciaran Murphy last year, chasing home short-priced hotpots both times. He looks like another for the shortlist.
This represents a good opportunity for both BANNED and Lizzy's Filly to get off the mark. The latter will not go down without a fight if fully tuned-up following six months off but preference is for Banned, who put in a good shift equipped with a first-time hood (retained) when runner-up back from a break at Roscommon. She is unlikely to be inconvenienced by this drop back in trip and similar conditions are forecast here. Granville Street is third choice.
Race fitness could give BANNED an edge over Lizzy's Filly and she holds Celebating Ethel on Roscommon running

5.5/1(+31%) | (11) Red Vermillion 5.5/1, Latest win at Navan in May. Creditable fifth of 14 in handicap at Leopardstown (15f, good, 17/2) 11 days ago. Can give a good account. Has already produced a foal but that has not stopped her from recapturing form this season. |

8th (9) (7.5/1 +6%) Five Zeros |
7.5/1(+6%) | (9) Five Zeros 7.5/1, 15/2, eleventh of 17 in handicap at Navan (10f, good to soft) 15 days ago. Back up in trip. Hood back on. Dropped to a handy mark if she can bounce back. No sign that she can recapture the form that delivered three wins last season. |

9th (13) (9/1 +0%) Lofoten |
9/1(+0%) | (13) Lofoten 9/1, 14/1, creditable fifth of 15 in handicap at Listowel (8f, good) 22 days ago, faring best of those held up. Significantly up in trip. Yet to reach the first four for this stable, not a bad effort when fifth at Listowel. |

10th (2) (33/1 +0%) Big Kitten |
33/1(+0%) | (2) Big Kitten 33/1, 40/1, fourteenth of 18 in handicap at Fairyhouse (10f, good) 25 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Back up in trip. Booking of Keane a plus. Both wins were on AW in Britain in 2018, this year's efforts far from convincing. |

11th (10) (40/1 -43%) Mutadaawel |
40/1(-43%) | (10) Mutadaawel 40/1, 50/1, ninth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Sligo (17.6f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Down in trip and should strip fitter with that under his belt. Should be better for a recent hurdles run, better on AW than turf but good going will suit. |

12th (14) (28/1 +30%) Vintage Gold |
28/1(+30%) | (14) Vintage Gold 28/1, Lightly-raced maiden on Flat. Eighth of 14 in handicap hurdle (22/1) at Tramore (16.8f, good) 23 days ago, suited by emphasis on stamina. Modest on the Flat. Fit from hurdling, ended last season with a good run but that was on soft ground. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SIGN FROM ABOVE looks capable of winning off this kind of mark on the Flat after some good runs over timber. The Sea The Stars gelding gained his sole win over a similar trip to this at Down Royal last September on nice ground before meeting trouble in running when sixth at the Curragh subsequently in more testing conditions. He remains on the same mark now for his return to Flat. Connections will be hoping the rain arrives for Nostra Casa. He won well on his return from a long absence at Sligo in late April and tries to defy a 10lb hike now. Red Vermillion won at Navan on her penultimate start over a similar trip and didn't appear to get home over further at Leopardstown last time. She's another that has to be considered.
SIGN FROM ABOVE has developed into a pretty useful hurdles performer since last racing on the level and this mark looks very workable. Nostra Casa and Red Vermillion are a couple of potential threats.
A first turf win beckons for dual Dundalk scorer EVENING VERSE following a creditable fourth at Gowran last month

1st (4) (3/1 +25%) Vera Verto |
3/1(+25%) | (4) Vera Verto 3/1, Creditable second of 12 in handicap (13/2) at Fairyhouse (13.7f, good) 10 days ago. Shortlist material. No match for a well-treated winner last time but unlikely to encounter one like that today. |

2nd (8) (5/1 +23%) Pachmena |
5/1(+23%) | (8) Pachmena 5/1, One win from 32 Flat runs. 9/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time in this code, fourth of 7 in handicap at Sligo (10.6f, soft) 57 days ago, never nearer. Up in trip. Yard saddles a stronger candidate in Vera Verto. Solid effort on return at Sligo in April and this ground versatile sort can be involved. |

3rd (6) (3.33/1 -67%) Marvelosa |
3.33/1(-67%) | (6) Marvelosa 3.33/1, Didn't need to be at best when winning 9-runner maiden at Sligo (10.4f, good to soft, 5/6) 41 days ago, cosily. Back up in trip and she's likely to be in the mix. Won a Sligo maiden over 1m2.5f last time; seems to stay this trip well enough. |

4th (3) (6/1 +33%) Molly's Gamble |
6/1(+33%) | (3) Molly's Gamble 6/1, 13/2, eighth of 9 in handicap at Gowran (13.7f, heavy) 69 days ago. Booking of Keane a plus and she's not without each-way hope. Long way below her best on return at Gowran in April and needs to put that behind her. |

5th (7) (12/1 -33%) Vischio |
12/1(-33%) | (7) Vischio 12/1, Good second of 9 in handicap hurdle at this course (16.2f, good, 12/1) 27 days ago, finishing well. Fairly useful in this sphere and she's not discounted. Was runner-up at this track over hurdles last time and shouldn't be far away. |

6th (9) (25/1 -194%) Gonetomillgrove |
25/1(-194%) | (9) Gonetomillgrove 25/1, 150/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time in this code, below form ninth of 19 in novice hurdle at Tipperary (15.8f, good to soft) 53 days ago. Fair on the Flat, albeit latest effort in this sphere wasn't one of her better ones. Won 1m4f handicap on soft ground last year for former yard; hasn't matched that form since. |

7th (1) (7/1 +0%) Female Soldier |
7/1(+0%) | (1) Female Soldier 7/1, Creditable seventh of 13 in handicap (33/1) at Cork (12f, soft) 10 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and will have a chance if she puts her best foot forward. Decent effort in the Cork Derby last time; chance if cheekpieces help restore to her best. |

8th (2) (5.5/1 +61%) Disco Boots |
5.5/1(+61%) | (2) Disco Boots 5.5/1, 6/1, sixth of 7 in handicap at Sligo (10.6f, soft) 57 days ago. Up in trip and looks vulnerable. Hasn't been near best form in three starts since last win and is still 8lb above that mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MARVELOSA may be able to follow up after gaining a deserved success at Sligo last time. She had been knocking on the door for a while before her win last month and showed a good attitude to overcome some traffic problems to get the job done then. She has eased a couple of pounds in the recent handicapper's adjustment and looks on an attractive mark. Vera Verto ran a solid race when chasing home the well handicapped Night Sparkle at Fairyhouse last time and could be a danger now. Her trainer Gavin Cromwell also runs Pachmena and she also has a chance after a decent run to finish fourth on her return at Sligo in late April.
VERA VERTO put in a solid front-running shift when chasing home an in-form rival over 13.7f at Fairyhouse recently, in turn pulling clear of the rest. This slight drop back in trip looks a good move and she is appealing off the same mark. Next on the list is Marvelosa, who got off the mark in a Sligo maiden last time and was runner-up in a handicap off 2 lb higher at the same course on her penultimate start. For those seeking an each-option, Vischio is worthy of consideration.
Having bumped into a well-treated rival on return to the Flat at Fairyhouse last time, VERA VERTO(nap) can go one better today.
Ths is the racecard key.
